Why can I not view videos using VLC or MPlayer X?

So I have used VLC for years and never had a problem but I was watching an episode of a TV show i downloaded on VLC and suddenly the video stopped and I got a pop up saying the video was unable to be cleaned. I tried the whole uninstal reinstall....same result, tried restarting the computer....same result. I then downloaded MPlayer X and guess what....same result. It's not just that file either I tried a file completely unrelated and it played for 30 seconds on MPlayer X and then the program stopped responding. Any thoughts?

Adobe, the make of flash, does not yet make a flash player for iphone.
You cannot download any file or program to the iphone at the moment.

Why can I not GIFT apps using my current iTunes balance??? It allows you to pay using credit card, paypal, or a new iTunes card, but why can we not gift apps and songs to each other using the current balance we have on our accounts from previous iTunes gift card purchases etc.?
Either I am missing something very obvious here, or Apple's greedy stance on gifting is actually creating less usage of the feature, because I for one would not think twice about purchasing gifts for people with a current balance that is already accounted for, but when it comes to adding money or using a card, it just feels like a new payment, and a bigger monetary burden.
Please let me know how to do this if it is possible, and if it is not, then PLEASE FIX ?

I agree with some points that is how it works. Because apple do things they want....
It's quite nice that way being so unique and remarkable. However it is so inconvenient for users who sometimes just want to gift things without a credit card or such whatever. Because sometimes it's meaningless to have balance when you aren't able to spend it.
The point is made. Many are not happy with it but that's life. Just take it or leave it...

Well.... I see screenshots of other(?) versions of iBook and I see an option for full screen under the aA pulldown. My version doesn't have this. I cannot find the setting anywhere.I would like to read my book without all the icons on the screen.

Why can't I view music videos in landscape mode on my new Ipod Touch 5? I was able to with my first generation Ipod Touch.
I hate viewing a small version of the video. If there aren't any fixes to the issue, there is no point in purchasing music videos. Clicking the screenlock icon doesn't work. It just allows you to view the small video in any mode instead of seeing album covers.

Why can't I view video from my SD card on my Mac? It appears on my RFH400 but not the Mac?!

I recorded four short videos onto an SD card using a Canon HFR400 video camera. When I load the SD card into the computer I’m only able to view one video. The others show no images, only a black screen but each will play for the length of each video.
Weird part is that I can play back all four videos in playback mode on the camera. It’s just loading them onto the computer which causes 3 of 4 to go blank. Any idea why it’s not allowing me to view??
I thought it had to do with the format or possibly using a Mac, but it doesn’t make sense that one video can be seen and the others can’t. They were all shot within 15 minutes of each other. May have to try Canon tech support but it doesn’t seem to be a camera issue.

Ho are you bringing the video clips over to your computer? Are you connecting the camera or are you using a card reader? What program are you using to import the video clips?

Why can I not make video calls using Skype?

I'm really baffled. I have a month old MacBook Air. I use Skype daily for work and personal business. Never had a problem until this evening. I went to make a video call and Skype was not linked with the camera - there was no option to make a video call and when I went into Preferences, it said I had no camera. I then used FaceTime - person I was calling also had FaceTime, so it wasn't an issue - but I've now spent an hour trying to solved the problem, including logging in and out of Skype, closing the app and reinstalling, all to no avail. The camera functions fine with FT and other apps - why will it not sync up with Skype after it's worked fine? Anyone have a clue? Thanks in advance.

FIX:
1. You need Time Machine
2. Go to folder /Library/CoreMediaIO/Plug-Ins/DAL/
3. Copy AppleCamera.plugin to good place (usb memory stick is the best place).
4. Go to Time machine in date that skype work fine.
5. Change AppleCamera.plugin with file from Time Machine
6. Restart system, Now skype need to work with camera.

If You are trying to watch content when you are downloading, it let it download then watch it this works for me as i had the same problem.

Why is nobody giving me a solution to my problem. I subscribe to bbc iPlayer, I have an iPad and a iTouch and apple TV. Why can I not view BBC iPlayer through my iPad or iTouch when everything else works fine ie utube etc.

Unless those videos are very, very short, they probably aren't e-mailable. Many e-mail providers cap sizes of attachments at 25Meg or less (quite often much less). I once shot a 3 minute video on my Touch that was over 150 megs.
There is a big difference between facetime - which is streaming video - and e-mailing a video.

Why can i not view my rental movie in the ipad video app

hello everyone
Hopefully someone can help as I'm getting a tad frustrated I have been for the last 2.5hrs trying to get a rental movie I have downloaded on to my computer to sync with my Ipad2 and its simply wont do it what could be wrong?
I have so far
restarted both computer and rebooted ipad.
both softwares are up to date on ipad and on PC
I have checked the restrictions and there doesnt appear to be any that I can see in the menu although saying that the movie selection can not even be highlighted in that menu.
I have checked in the about and although itunes syncs the movie and it shows up in the bar below as the movie taking up space..in the about in the general part of settings it refreshed but still states 0 so itunes on the PC says its on the ipad but the ipad is saying it is not on the ipad....
I'm going away on holiday next week and I was hoping to take a few rentals with me....I downloaded this one to test it out and see how well it worked so far its been frustraingly useless....im glad I never downloaded 30bux worth of movies.
