Why can I only get on firefox web sites and Facebook?

I have run virus scans and have checked for updates for firefox, when ever I attempt to access these updates my firefox browser shuts down and I have to open it again. There are no viruses or malware on my computer and everything but firefox is updated! Why can I not access anything but the firefox help page and my Facebook?

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from an existing profile to the new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.
Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer. 
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site:
* right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
* Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
In the dialog that opens, remove all the individual cookies for the site. Then close the dialog and try reloading the page.

A lot of countries only have app store, no music or video stores. Because of copyright laws that are different between every nation. Stupid, that the laws are different, but that's the way it is.

Why can't I access the APP web site with my iPad3??

I just purchased an iPad3 and really like it. I tapped the APP icon to load a few APPs but it would not open. I get the grey-white page with an hour glass spinning. After a few minutes the page closes and kicks me back to the iPad desk top. I tried this several times with the same result. Why Can I Only Get Sound On Video's

I have a 30gig iPod and have a few vid's I would like to watch on it while travelling. I converted a number of .avi formatted vid's to the .mp4 that ipod requires using winAVI but on trying to watch the then converted files on my PC or the iPod I only get the sound and no video(black screen). Any help would be appreciated.

There is a setting on the iPod under Videos -> Video Settings where you set the TV Out to ON/OFF/Ask. To watch on the iPod itself you should have it set for OFF or Ask. However, normally when it is set to ON, you still get a still screen on the iPod showing an icon of what is playing and text stating the name of the video. You don't normally get a black screen, which makes me think it might be something else.
But check the setting for TV Out all the same just to be sure. If it is ok, you might consider doing a reset and maybe even a restore to see if that works to fix the issue.

Why can't I view a secure web site (basic https) on my iPhone?

I was wondering why my iPhone is unable to connect (at all) to https://c1.cmpro.net? When I attempt to go to this address (this is a server at work I'd like to be able to use via my iPhone), I get the following message: "Safari can't open the page because it could not establish a secure connection to the server."
I'm fairly certain that the https config on this server hasn't been set to cause it to exclude iPhones, or that it is in fact doing anything out-of-the-ordinary so far as https configurations are concerned for a web site.
Any ideas, feedback would be greatly appreciated. I'd love to be able to connect to this site via my iPhone.

I think I might have just answered my own question. When accessing the site in question via Safari on my iMac just now, I was warned that the security certificate could not be verified, and asked if I wanted to continue. I'm presuming the same thing is happening on the iPhone, only I'm not getting chance to say that I'd like to continue. Instead, it just stops and basically says, "I can't verify the security of this site, therefore I can't connect to it securely."
I'll look into the certificate issue for that server and see what can be done to get it resolved.
I wish that the iPhone had a way to register "trusted sites" in order to circumvent this type of things (I happen to know I can trust this particular site.) It would also be very helpful to be able to install PKI certificates for sites that require those. Oh well, maybe in a future version of the iPhone Mac OS ...

Why do my photos on my computer take up 5.5 GB but syncing them to my iPod Touch they take up around 15 GB, and why can I only select one folder to sync, and not multiple folders?

I have wiped the iPod a few times and tried from different computers. All the small things get more frustrating every day with apple.

The Camera roll, on the iPod Touch, is where photos taken by the iPod (if it has a camera), screenshots and downloaded pictures are stored. Since they have "originated" on the iPod they are not on your computer - yet. Once they have been successfully saved, I can go back the My Computer/the iPod and delete them from the Camera Roll.

Why can't I get into HSBC mobile site on my iphone 4s?

Using an iPhone 4s and trying to use the HSBC mobile banking "app". I called HSBC but they couldn't help. I key in the site, but when it pops up it won't allow me to log in. The HSBC rep said she was able to do it on her iPhone. I cleared cookies and history and allow cookies, but nothing is helping. Anyone else have this problem? Resolution???

I recently reinstalled Snow Leopard and now I can't get online using Firefox, Chrome or any other browser besides Safari. I've never had this problem before now.

Firefox and Chrome might have different proxy settings, you should be able to let them use the same settings as Safari though.
