any video i attemp to open i facebook results in an error message.
i am not at the machine now, but if the error messgae will help i'll get it to you later

If you are using the Youtube app, I would suggest following the troubleshooting in this article:

If you are watching Youtube in the Safari app, then I would suggest these troubleshooting steps from our iPhone Troubleshooting Assistant found here: http://www.apple.com/support/iphone/assistant/phone/. If you get to step 3, close all the apps that are running and try again. Here is step 1 to get you started:
Restart iPhone
To restart iPhone, first turn iPhone off by pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button until a red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider and iPhone will turn off after a few moments.
Next, turn iPhone on by pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Is iPhone not responding? To reset iPhone, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least 10 seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If your device does not turn on or displays a red battery icon, try recharging next.

Why can't I play videos? what's wrong?

I have windows vista home premium, using internet explorer, downloaded adobe flash player 11 activeX, am not getting any error messages, all tests say it's working properly, but can not play videos. I am not computer smart, and don't know what to do. Please help if you can. Thank you.
One other question: In the programs and features window where you can uninstall programs, why is there 0 kb/mb in the size column when describing AFP?

Went to the site you gave.
I ran the auto detect since I use Internet Explorer.
The results said that I have the latest driver verson for my system.
This what I have:
ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphics
Driver: ATI Technologies Inc.
Date: 05/08/08
Version: 8.479.1.1000
I do not know what values to select if I was to follow the steps 1 - 4.
I also got an AMD auto dectect window that said:
error graphics hardware - 0x1002-0x9612 unknown
I don't know if that's important or not.

Why can't I play videoes in DIAdem 9.1?

Hi everybody!
I'm working on a project (as part of my last year of education) where I want to use DIAdem to synchronize video and measured signals (in LabVIEW). But in DIAdem I can't select Video (nor Graphic) as display type in the VIEW-panel. I have DIAdem Clip 2.08 installed and I thougt that ought to do the trick, but do I have to configure DIAdem to use Clip or something like that? Or maybe I need DIAdem 10.0? Tried to search this web-site, but could not find anything related and I don't have time to search forever..

Hello Erik,
Clip 2.08 is an individual application, which can be used to synchronize DIAdem data with video sequences. That is why the clip window will not be embedded into DIAdem 9.1. The Program has to be started with a window of its own.
In DIAdem 10, the Module VIEW includes the CLIP engine. So, with the new Version of DIAdem you do not need to run the CLIP installer. Videos can be displayed and synchronized within DIAdem VIEW.

Are you saying that you have problems only with certain videos at nfl.com but you can watch other videos? What about Flash videos on other sites, such as YouTube.com?
As a workaround, if certain videos don't load, try turning off hardware acceleration in your Flash Player settings (Right-click on any Flash video, click "Settings", select the Display tab and uncheck “Enable hardware acceleration").

Another possible fix is to uncheck the option, "use hardware acceleration where available" in your Firefox 4 "Tools -> Options -> Advanced" settings.

Again I ask why can I not play video using Firefox?

Firefox will not allow me to play any kind of video. It just won't play since I did the last update. I'm not a good computer fixer upper. So I need simple, easy to follow instructions.

My home page is www.cincinnati.com and on it they embed video clips. (I think embed is the right word.) When I click on them, a new page opens but with no video. I've tested Java, QuickTime, Flash and all are working according to their respective tests on their websites.

If you use extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extension) like Adblock Plus or NoScript or Flash Block that can block content then make sure that such extensions aren't blocking content.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Depends entirely on the webpage that's serving them. Some will have an HTML5 or other non-Flash way to supply video to mobile devices. For example, the Youtube app in iOS uses HTML5 to display all Youtube videos.

You can play many of them, at least the ones found in the App Store. Others you might be able to play by using one of the alternate browsers or apps out there that allow you to 'play' Flash games.
You can't play them in the way you're used to because, well ..... pick from the following:
You aren't using what you're used to using, and it doesn't do things the same way that you're used to doing them.
FaceBook was created by children, for children, and uses Flash ... which does not exist on Apple mobile devices.
