Why can't I preview a pdf portfolio?

When I first heard about acrobat.com sharing possibilities I was thrilled. However, now I am not so sure it is the right thing for me anymore. If someone can verify that I am understanding this correctly:
I made a portfolio in acrobat and wanted to upload that to share with my class. However, once I go to the share site, it just gives me a 1 page generic icon telling me I need to download the pdf in order to see it best...I don't want them to have to download the pdf, I just wanted to share the portfolio...so where are all the 40 pdfs I placed into the portfolio?
I woulnd't mind upgrading to a premium membership if I can achieve the following:
- let me upload portfolios and send out the link to around 50-100 people at a time (I teach an InDesign class and would like to let student's see everyone's work)
- let them see the portfolio online without downloading it (these pdfs are interactive, so the audio/vidoe, rollovers etc need to stay intact)
- upload and store InDesign native files without converting them to pdf
Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Word is a text processor, not a PDF viewer. You can embed a PDF document in a Word document, but that's pretty much it. Besides Preview there are numerous third-party applications that can also view PDFs such as Adobe Reader.

I cant print anything now from my computer to my hp printer. Never had this happen until November or December. Then it seemed to be OK. now today I cant print one thing. not from my gmail, or the Matrix portal I use as a realtor. My office partner is connected to the same printer and his is fine. Mine prints nothing. All I get is a print screen that says loading preview... and the .. keep moving and nothing ever shows up. If I try to to to a PDF (which is the only way we could print anything after some update last fall from the Matrix portal) it just spins ... and nothing happens . WE use to be able to print without having to save everything to a download and that changed. now I cant print anything. I need help fast.... I can't get my work done at all and I'm getting very frustrated.
I uninstalled the adobe reader and re-installed it and nothing helps. We have 2 others printers in our office and it wont let me print to them either or allow me to save it as a PDF so I can print it out that way.;
I need HELP!!! Can't work this way and not sure what happened to cause this problem as things were fine earlier today.

Don't know! You'll have to give us more details of what's happening when you try. Can you print other documents OK? When you try to print, does the printer icon appear in the dock - click on it and see if there are any printer messages.

Acrobat 8 is not compatible with Windows 8, for the simple reason it was
created much before it and Adobe could not participate the changes to the
OS that Microsoft implemented many years later on. You need to buy the
current version for compatibility.

Hi Timo,
The Create PDF feature is part of Adobe PDF Pack (the paid subscription service) and is used to convert a non-PDF file format to PDF.
I see that the "Getting Started" PDF document is opened in the screenshot above. You cannot convert a PDF document to a PDF document.
The error message is trying to tell you that you need to open the "supported format" (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, RTF) then tap Create PDF to convert it to a PDF document.
Please take a look at the following document about Adobe PDF Pack (which also includes Export PDF).

Back up all data.
Triple-click the line of text below to select it, the copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C):
/Library/Internet Plug-ins
In the Finder, select
Go > Go to Folder
from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Paste into the text box that opens (command-V), then press return.
From the folder that opens, remove any items that have the letters “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then quit and relaunch Safari, and test.
The "Silverlight" web plugin distributed by Microsoft can also interfere with PDF display in Safari, so you may need to remove it as well, if it's present.
If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:
~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari again.

OK. You mean that it has fillable form fields. Those will not open in the mail app or in iBooks.
Download Adobe Reader in the App Store. It is free. Then go back to the mail app, tap on the PDF file to get the Open In window to pop up. When the Open In window pops up, select Adobe Reader. The PDF will open in Adobe Reader and be saved in there. You should be able to fill out the fields in the Adobe Reader app and then you can email it from there if needed.
