  • Why cant I put video on my ipod touch 2g iOS 4.2.1?

    I know there are a ton of discussions involving this but I need specifics in regards to the specs. So what I am going to do is post EXACTLY what I converted the file to, and can someone please tell me where I went wrong?
    Also, do I need some sort of media player app to play these videos? I tried searching for hours the other night for an app like this (thats free) compatible with 4.2.1 to no avail. It is extremely frustrating.
    Also I am going to post this seperatly i think but I downloaded and app called idownloader lite. I wanted to be able to go on the internet and download a video to watch for later use offline. It says to go thr ough their browser find a video (not from youtube) and copy and paste the url to do this. but it NEVER works! Does anyone know of a website that will work with this?
    The problem is my older operating system, I cant find any good apps for stuff (they need to be free unfortunatley) I wanted to get a youtube app that I could d/l video for use offline but i cant find one compatible.
    Well here is the info from the video i converted, did i do this right?

    Thank you for all your help, I know this is alot of work!

    You may be able to get the las compatible version by:
    Starting when iOS 7 was released, Apple now allows downloading the last compatible version of some apps (iOS 4.2.1 and later only)
    App Store: Downloading Older Versions of Apps on iOS - Apple Club
    App Store: Install the latest compatible version of an app
    You first have to download the non-compatible version on your computer. Then when you try to purchase the version on your iPod you will be offered a compatible version if one exists.

  • With the new download previous purchases on ITunes, you can download all of your music, TV Shows, etc. Why cant you download movies that you have downloaded?

    Because it requires iOS 7 or newer, and the fourth generation iPod touch can't run a new-enough iOS version. If desired, click here and follow the instructions.

  • Why apple dont put siri on the ipod touch

    why apple dont put siri on the ipod touch

    Apple has not shared that information with us.
    Speculation runs from they want you to buy an iPhone 4S, to Apple is rolling out Siri and wants to control the number of Siri users while they work out the bugs in their North Carolina data center before opening it up to the existing millions of iPhone 4, iPad, and iPod Touch iOS5 capable devices.
    Apple has already experienced scaling issues with just the iPhone 4S models using Siri, so it is actually possible that they are working on the scaling issues.
    Whether Apple actually makes Siri available on other iOS5 devices, only Apple knows and they tent to be "Tight Lipped" about future plans

  • How to put movies on a ipod video (mac computer)

    Hi everyone i am new to the wonderful wold of mac's and ipods. I just picked one up yesterday and would like to put my own movies on it. I did a quick search but it looks like most people are using pc for there ipod. Can someone give me detailed instructions on putting a dvd onto my ipod using a mac.

    Well let me give you an example i used handbrake last night to take the movie "Full Metal Jacket" and put it onto my ipod. I changed a couple of settings on handbrake and i just want to know if they are what i should of changed. I changed the screen resolution to 320x240 and the bitrate kbps to 750. Than i tried to play the movie but my it said quicktime could not read the file, or something to that effect. I than put it into my itunes library and hit the button to convert for ipod...only took a min or 2 to convert it, and than it went onto my ipod with out a problem. but the file size if i remember correctly the file size was almost 699mb. That is kind of large. Just in comparison, i never use limewire but i wanted to check it out so i downloaded stewie griffin: the untold story. It was on there already in mpeg 4 format for the ipod and that movie is like an hour and a half long and the file size was only 196mb, and it sounds and looks great...can anyone tell me what i am doing wrong...
    Thanks

  • Still want to put movies on your ipod? Me too!

    Hello,
    If many like the other recent buyers of the 5g ipod are still scratching there heads about videos on there ipod- im with you. I installed the videora ipod converter and a dvd decrypter and am still lost- is there a simpler way to put movies on?
    Kristina

    I don't want too use the easy quicktime export because of it's limited resolution and aspect ratio I have movies of 320X135 and there is no option to modify the template in the quicktime export so adjust that one thing.
    "Movie to iPod (320x24)" preset is a "constrained aspect ratio" conversion. This means that the maximum area it can convert to is a 320x240 4:3 aspect ratio display. However if you start with a 640x360 16:9 aspect movie clip, the resulting H.264 iPod ready target file will end up a 320x180 target file which, as you see, is also a 16:9 picture aspect ratio. In other words, this preset will set the width of your target file to 320 and then adjust the height to whatever setting maintains the original aspect ratio.
    H.264
    320X135
    Baseline restriction
    Audio 160kbps 44.1khz
    Video, 768kbps dual pass
    These setting will likely be out of specs in most "action" filled movies or ones shot in most with darkened, spooky scenes. If you check the combined data rate (video + audio data rates) for the target files which will not sync, you will likely find that this number is above the maximum 768kbps allowed for H.264 playback on the iPod.
    Lets say I give you a cup and say it will hold 8 ounces of coffee. Therefore, you immediately pour in 8 ounces of coffee. But it turns out that you like cream in your coffee. In fact, you love cream so much that you pour in 2 ounces of cream. Not only that you like sugar added. So you add two teaspoons of sugar and proceed to stir vigorously, spilling a good ounce of coffee. Then you complain to me that your 8-oz cup of coffee contains only 7 ounces of coffee, cream, and sugar. Get the picture? You are trying to put more than 10 ounces of "coffee" into an 8-oz cup.

  • Can't Put Movies On The iPod..........THEN WHAT'S THE POINT OF VIDEO IPOD

    I've tried everything to get movies on my iPod. I bought $30 QT PRO because I was told that that has the only format that can import movies on the iPod. After I bought it I tried to use it but I get an error -43 messege. Next I was told to then download videora so I did and when I converted it into an iPod file but I couldn't find out how to get it into iTunes. Now I am being told videora doesn't work. PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO GET MOVIES ON MY IPOD OR HOW TO GET MY MOVIE TO SHOW UP ON ITUNES.

    For $30 I bought a program called DVD to Ipod Converter from cucusoft.com and it works perfect. I have now converted 18 dvd's since Thursday and each are perfect. I have my files set up when I double click they automatically open with iTunes then I hook up my iPod (its set to manual) and I just drag the file over the top of the name of my iPod and it loads to the ipod.
    They have a free trial version you can try first but it puts a watermark on the file such as "Trial Version" but you can at least see how it works without spending money first. There is a Suite Version to do different types of files but I only needed the DVD converter.

  • Why cant we put anything outside classes ?

    i couldnt think about any other title,as i am getting more and more confused.
    this is what i know :
    an object is "something" which has got some functionality && exists in memory (thats why real-world).
    why cant we create objects of "only" methods ?
    to be exact,i cant understand why java needs to put everything in the class?
    eg.
    public static void main(String args[])
    int i;
    i=i+5;
    this method should be able to form an object, it has got both data members, and it can call another function to modify the data.
    why do we NECESSARILY need to put this in a class ?

    josAH gave a valid point, but are there some others ?Old (current?) PHP is an example of what happens when you have a global namespace. Thousands upon thousands of functions with ugly names or stupid prefixes/suffixes ("real", "2", etc.). Static methods in a non-instantiable class are basically like creating namespaces for global methods.
    It's also much easier to find functions that belong together grouped in a class.True, but if "global functions" had been allowed in Java, I bet you a doughnut they would have used package names as a name space, in exactly the same way this is done with classes and interfaces.
    But again, idle speculation like this is a waste of time...
