I updated to ios 6 on my iPod touch earlier and had the same issue. I think iCloud has been backing mine up though. I freaked out because all 500 of my photos were gone and my stupid self didnt do a back up... But then they all reappeared :..) Maybe i just got lucky? Good luck though..

Do you have sound coming from the audio output port using headphones? If so, when the plug is pulled out, is there a red light?

Why does my sound say "headphones" when I don't have any headphones in?
I have a iPhone 4 and it's an 8GB phone, and it is updated to iOS 7.0.4. When I move the switch on the side that controls silent or ringer, it shows up on my screen saying "headphones" when I do not have headphones in. So basically I have no sound and only vibrate. But if I were to insert headphones there is sound through my ear piece as it normally should be. I had my phone in my bag and my water bottle in my bag spilt and I'm assuming I have this sound problem because it is water damaged but I'm not completely sure. I don't want to put my phone in rice, which I heard is what you're supposed to do when it is water damaged. But I don't want to because a rice can fit in the whole where you insert your headphones and I wouldn't want to get a rice stuck there. I also turned my phone off for more than 10 seconds just so it can reset, thinking maybe it was a temporary issue that could've been fixed by turning your phone off, but no, it is still broken. So how do I fix this? Is the only solution getting fixed at apple?
Also my speakers do not work. When I receive a notification, message, or call there is no ringer and when I answer a call I cannot hear the other line. So I am pretty sure I water damaged my phone. How do I fix this?

Two days ago I downloaded the web developer tool bar (aus2.mozilla.com). I tried to use it but gave up. I deleted the tool bar.
I don't have any images anymore. I use Google.com as my home page (default) and the large GOOGLE isn't there anymore. I've also noticed some of the sites I use don't have the continue or next or enter keys anymore. It seems the only thing I have now is the text.Are you sure you are looking at the Google page?? In Firefox 4.0 the default homepage / Start Page in Firefox was changed to '''about:home''' which looks a lot like the former www.google.com/firefox homepage.

As a rule syncing is one way, from the library to the device. There should have been a warning that media content on the device would be removed and replaced with that in the local library. If the content were still on the device it could be recovered with the steps in Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device. You can redownload your qualifying past purchases from the iTunes Store, Amazon store, etc. Do you have the previous computer your device synced with, or a backup, from which the library could be recovered?

Why did I have to create a new ID when I logged into Communities this morning? Appears I don't have any history anymore either. I used the same browser and username/password (its stored in my browser) and it asked me to fill out my profile and pick an alias. Not sure what the deal was, it appears Apple can't figure out this whole id thing. I've used other community sites for over a decade without having to change my user/profile, I don't understand why this is such a pain with Apple.
Agreed! I was trying to find out how to reclaim my old name since I use it for all sites. I can't seem to find the answer so I made a new one to ask questions before giving up on it.

In Contacts, I don't have any duplicates, but in iMessage contacts on iMac in Mountain Lion, the contacts it provides for a new message are all doubles. Why and how can I fix?
I also notice that each contact says iCloud in it twice, but when I go to iCloud.com, there are no duplicates either. Help..mdd770,
Try Contacts>Preferences...>Accounts...remove {-}/re-add {+}your iCloud account.
If that is not successful, follow the steps listed in iCloud: Troubleshooting iCloud Contacts. -
I recently started my iCloud and did the backup feature to store contacts from my phone to my iCloud, and no all of a sudden I don't have any numbers saved. How do I retrieve those contacts from before???

All the later versions of Firefox crash regularly, this is annoying. We can't update because there isn't a "Safe Mode" option to prevent this happening, or is there ? We are still using version 3.6.13 in safe mode to prevent the annoyance.
PS Explorer doesn't crash all the time like this. You are obviously aware of the crashes because of the sarcastic notices that pop up apologising for ther incovenience.

Why does Software Update want to install ProKit Update when I don't have any of the listed apps?
Software Update just prompted me to install ProKit Update 7.0. I don't have any of the applications listed in the description. I searched for each with Spotlight just to make sure. My Macbook has only a clean install of Snow Leopard, Microsoft Office 2008, and Xcode 4.0.2. Why am I being prompted to install this update?

I do not have iPhoto installed and it was never installed. iPhoto is part of iLife, which is on disc #2. I slicked the disk and did a clean install of Snow Leopard using only disc #1. If you are going to re-install, make sure you have 1 or preferably 2 full backups using Time Machine and/or a clone.
Try booting into the Safe Mode using your normal account. Disconnect all peripherals except those needed for the test. Shut down the computer and then power it back up after waiting 10 seconds. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the shift key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. The boot up is significantly slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a directory check, and disables all startup and login items, among other things. When you reboot normally, the initial reboot may be slower than normal. If the system operates normally, there may be 3rd party applications which are causing a problem. Try deleting/disabling the third party applications after a restart by using the application un-installer. For each disable/delete, you will need to restart if you don't do them all at once.

I have updated my iPhone 3Gs to the latest software in an attempt to iron out a problem with a new telephone network provider (Tmobile). I had backed up my phone before I did this. Now I have lost my music and apps. I can't sync the phone with my Mac, I can't re-download from iTunes as the phone says I don't have any music or apps available to re-download although it all shows up on my Mac. The music and app content cannot be restored when I try to restore the phone from the back up I madeon my Mac. Help!
Working on that now. I'm just getting frustrated that everytime I run updates for the phone I end up with tech problems that I have to spend time solving as opposed to updates that actually improve my usage. Now I will once again get to spend hours reloading my phone all for updates that didn't affect my usage in the first place.

I have windows xp and just started using firefox I am very pleased with firefox but in ie I always pick up pictures from family and friends on facebook. in ie all I do is right click on the picture and choose save picture as but in firefox I don't have that option when I right click on a photo. My friends that use firefox say they do. what should I do to fix this? also when I upgraded to firefox 4 I no longer get a list of friends in farmville and other games in order to send gifts. I have to use ie to get pictures and if I want to give something in games.

I right click on the photo the picture library opens but on the photo line it's a Firefox document..???
