Why did my iPhone photos get deleted and can I recover them?

An entire album's worth of photos were deleted and I want to know why and if I can recover them.
I have an iPhone 4S on iOS 6, iTunes 10, PC user. Under "photo albums" I created a new album called "job photos" which I've been moving photos to as needed. Today I took a bunch of picutures at work with my iPhone, and before I got to my computer I moved them over from the "camera roll" to the "job photos" album, then deleted the originals in "camera roll". Everything worked fine until I synced the phone to iTunes.
Up until today I've been syncing a folder on my PC with a bunch of photos to my iPhone. In order to save space on the phone I unchecked the "sync" box to stop syncing those photos. After the phone was done syncing not only was my PC album gone but all the photos in my "job photos" album were gone too. ***?
Why did this happen and is there a way to recover the photos I just lost? My iPhone wasn't backed up so I wouldn't be able to do a backup recovery. Please help.

You lost the photos because the actual data is in Camera Roll. When you see pix in albums, it is by virtue of pointers to the actual storage in Camera Roll. Otherwise, you would be using up storage by creating albums. SO, do not delete from Camera Roll until you have copied to your PC.

What photos? The backup process doesn't touch any photos on an iPhone. In fact, photos in your camera roll are included in the iPhone backup.

They should still be in the camera roll of the originating device. Have you looked there? Also, photos should always be synced to a computer for archiving (either by wired connection or photo stream) and then moved from the photo stream album and into a permanent album. If you've done that, then check that computer.

If nothing helps, you need to contact Verizon for information for an exchange or refund. This is a user to user forum, not Apple.
Apple's policy for a refund or exchange is within 14 days of purchase. Verizon's policy may be different.
Definitely try restoring .. hopefully you won't have to go through the hassle of an exchange.

An account's balance should not have been affected by changing your password. You've tried logging out and back into your account on your phone and/or computer's iTunes and seeing if it then shows, and checked your account's purchase history e.g. you didn't have any auto-renewing subscriptions or pre-orders due that might have taken the money : See your purchase history in the iTunes Store ?

After Purchasing Music I'm Getting Duplicates and Can't Remove Them

I've downloaded 2 albums recently and in both cases they've caused duplicates to be placed on my iPhone 4S. I do not have this issue on my iPad 2 for some reason.
The first album I downloaded on to my iPhone using the iTunes app. All 14 tracks were duplicated. When I went to change the genre of the songs in iTunes and resync'd, then half of the songs had the original genre and the other half the new genre. I deleted the Purchased playlist, didn't remove the dups. I unchecked music syncing in iTunes, deleted all the music EXCEPT the dups. Finally I just had to erase the whole phone and start new. Weak.
The second album I downloaded tonight on my iMac thru iTunes. When I synced my iPhone and iPad, only on the iPhone did I get duplicates... this time, however, only for tracks 7 thru 16! Again, I have no way to get rid of them and I don't even see them listed twice when I look at my music list on the iPhone 4S from iTunes on the iMac.
No, I do not have iCloud or iTunes Match/Connect/whatever.
Any idea why this is happening and how do I get rid of the duplicates???

OK, I don't know why it's happening, but I figured out a way to fix things on my iPhone.
With this last album, even though I made the purchase and download on my iMac in iTunes, for some reason my iPhone 4S showed that I purchased tracks 7-16 and these were the duplicated tracks. However, the iTunes app showed that I downloaded all the tracks.
So, regardless, I deleted the album out of iTunes (of course, backing up the folder with the songs in my home directory). Then I right clicked on my iPhone in iTunes on the iMac and had it transfer purchases. When this happened, my iTunes on the iMac showed the dups. Removing them in iTunes on the iMac didn't help. But, by going to the Artist and then swiping on the offending album from right to left, the option to delete the album on the iPhone appeared.
Then I re-added the album to my main playlist and synced again. And now my iPhone has no more dups. Still, this is obviously a bug with Apple on the iPhone (as I don't have this problem at all on the iPad and both are running iOS 5.0).

Maybe this isn't possible. But I would really like to know if there is any way to change the way the iphone files the pictures that you take with the camera.
For example when you take a picture its stored in the iphone as "IMG_001". I really need to make it so its the date and time for example "08-18-08_1424".

As far as I know, there is not a way to do this.
Perhaps there is an app in the App Store.

I've got an ipod touch 3rd gen and accidentally deleted an app but now after resyncing it i've lost all the data and the app goes back to default. Is there a way to restore the app including all the previous data. I was at level 34 and now back to level 1

Sadly it seems the settings to sync everytime i connect has overwritten the backup because I only just checked it not to sync automatically . I'm new to using apple as I'm a true and true windows geek and thought it should at least keep 3 sets of backups...boy am I wrong . That's months of work on a game app gone .

That is how it works. Synced photos can't deleted directly on the iPad, instead that are deleted by not including them in the next photo sync - so you need to select and sync all the photos that you want to remain on the iPad on each photo sync

I compose an iMessage with the destination as my email address and I attach 2 photos I want on my PC. I send them several times from my iPhone 5C but they never arrive. I look at my ipad later and realize that it's iMessage app is getting ( and swallowing) these emails. I then turn the ipad off. Still can't get the photos through because iphone is now getting them on it's iMessage. I turn off the iMessage feature and try to send photos from text msging. Phone tells me it can't send photos unless iMessage it turned on. What happened to regular MMS text messaging? I go and try to send photos as an email attachment and see that there is no option to attach from the stupid email program. I look up online to learn about the brave new world of apple attachments and send them.

Did not work. I've selected iMessage to ON and left it. After a few hours I recieved a message "activation unsuccessful. Turn on iMessage to try again". This has been going on for the past 3 days.
