Why do all versions after 10.1.102.64 get strange with youtube when shifting from/to fullscreen?
ive just installed latest flash, and like others versions except 10.1.102.64, my shifting to and from fullscreen gets annoying, screen goes black and sound vanishes for a millisecond, why does this happend with all versions after 10.1.102.64 ???

Right click the video, go to Settings and then remove the checkmark from "Enable Hardware Acceleration".

I did the following steps more than 3 times, always getting the same result:
Import a picture of my libary (import resolution set to 4MP)
duplicate the picture layer, and set the top one to invisible
extracting a part of the lower picture using the lasso tool and the refine edge tool
setting the extracted part as a new layer above the old one
(editing contrast or bluring the lower layer, I was not always getting as far, sometimes it already deleted the layers one step above)
The tool selected when the issue occurred was nearly always either the boxed selection or the lasso selection tool. I had 3-5 layers at the moment it occurred. One of them set to invisible the others to full opacity.
Also I noticed, that when selecting or extracting the part of a picture, it takes far longer to load and the application sometimes gets unresponsive during that time (after this, sometimes also the layers disappeared).

A look around the internet and my previous knowledge indicates this is not an issue with firefox, but with how the server that the app is run on is incorrectly configured. To test this, please install an old version of firefox. You can download an older version from http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all-older.html then try to visit the website again. Please let us know if it turns out that it works with version 3.6 -
After downloading mountain lion, I get an error message when trying to use a link in mail. One mail account on the same computer is fine, but not the other one. Any suggestions?
I went to the Apple Genius Bar for help. Somehow when I downloaded Mountain Lion one of the mail accounts on the computer changed from an IMAP account to a POP account. The POP account doesn't enable the links in email. It was a quick fix. Just go to prefrences in your mail account and change it to an IMAP account. Hope this works for you as it did for me.

I have just inherited my husbands ipad, all transferred well except my hotmail account will not set up, I have read all forums but none have helped, keep getting "can not verify" when I try set it up. I have removed email and re added, turned on off iPad and iPhone but neither will set up, I have given up and forwarded all new emails from hotmail to icloud until I sort this out. One way this happens is when you previously synced contacts via iTunes/USB cable. If you haven't turned that off in iTunes, then you'll get duplicates from iTunes and iCloud.

We explored using sbRIO for our project, for different reasons we ended up going with a different embedded solution . We are currently evaluating the LabVIEW C Generator to convert some of the core analysis routines from LabVIEW to C so the team that will be creating the embedded solution don't have to re-implement them from scratch.
Before converting our code, I followed the instructions given in the "Getting Started with the NI LabVIEW C Generator" manual to create a static library created inCygwin using GNU Compiler Collection (GCC).
I managed to compile the code, but when I type "run GCD.exe" in the Cygwin console, I just see the window flash with no time to see if the result is correct or not. I modified the main.c cde to add a getchar(), but the window still just flashes and now I am left with the GCD process still running and have to kill it using Windows Task Manager.
Has anyone else got this example to run? I am sure I am missing an obvious setting or step, please help me.

I see a window open and close really quickly and I never see the result. I have tried adding the getchar() line to the main.c file, but still I don't get to see the results.

Missing hard drive space after aborted attempt at sharing iMovie project with YouTube
So, recently I tried sharing an iMovie project with YouTube. I clicked on the project in my project library, then selected share with YouTube from the drop down menu. I chose to share it as a HD 720 project. At this point, I had 27 GB of free hard drive space. After the project was converted (or whatever it's called, a process which took about half an hour, and which left me with about 6.5 GB of hard drive space), but before the project was actually exported or shared with or uploaded or published to YouTube (the second step), I saw that it was going to take three hours to upload, so I decided I wanted to share it as a non-HD video, in order to save time and space on my HD. I cancelled the upload. I then deleted the project in my imovie projects folder (since it now had the HD logo beside the name), intending to just start over and share the project in 960x540. Thing is, after deleting every trace of it I could find in iMovie, in my Documents Folder, in my Movies folder, and in iTunes, I only reclaimed 4 GB of space on my hard drive (leaving me with 10 GB). So what happened to the missing 17 GBs, and how can I get them back? Also, the amount of space used in order to share that project just seems excessive to me, so I realize that something else might be going on here. Thoughts? Suggestions? Comments?

Why do all of the original swf's play, but only 1 plays when copied?

I joined this forum after searching it, and Google, for this answer. I am running Windows XP SP3. The Adobe Flash Player home page ran a test and says that I'm running version 11.1.102.55, although whenever I open a swf file in Adobe, the Flash Player window that opens says that it's Flash Player 10. The problem is that I have 6 swf files on my slave drive. All 6 play fine from that original location. I've noticed that when I copy them and try to play them on either another computer, the same computer's master drive, or even the same computer's slave drive in a different folder, 5 of the 6 won't play. The 1 that does play is always the same one. I also noticed a difference in the 1 that plays everywhere. It doesn't start automatically like the rest of them do. It has an arrow to click to play it. When the 5 swf files that will only play from the original folder are played, they start to play automatically when clicking on them. The Flash Player window opens without showing an arrow to click on. I hope that this information is helpful, and that someone knows what is happening. Thanks.Joe McDoakes wrote:

I tried many different players to play these .swf files, all with the same results. The one player that I kept, aside from Flash Player, is simply called "Free Opener". It opens 75+ file types. I installed "VLC Player" today from your suggestion. It looks familiar. I think that it's one of the many players that I tried and then uninstalled. When I tried to open a .swf file, "VLC Player" just closes. The window that opens that asks you to choose a file, does not show .swf files as an option, so I had to use the pull-down menu and choose "all files". Looking on the official site, the player does not claim to open .swf files.

Can you do the following please.
Go to: http://www.headbands.com/gspot/v26x/index.htm and download Gspot 2.70a at the top of the list.
Right click, then "Extract all" when the Wizard starts to extract the contents of the zip file.
Run Gspot.exe to start. It's a standalone app which means you don't have to install it.
In the first screenshot, you see the app as it looks when launched. Click the button shown by the arrow and then navigate to one of the files which won't play.
In the second screenshot, click the #1 button indicated by the arrow to get an analysis.
Another button will appear underneath that (#2) after the analysis appears which will open a preview screen. It should play about 5 seconds of audio/video. You should be able to see in the analysis window what the file format is and which program can play it by default. Hover the mouse over the results to get more info. -

Downloaded version 4. Lost my toolbars, back button et.c Home button in the wrong place and could not move it and without requesting it I ended up with Yahoo which I did not want. How do I download Firefox 4 and keep all my toolbars as they were, at present is seems to be a very unfriendly upgrade?
John SI have the same problem. It was literally snuck in as a simple update and suddenly I couldn't upload any of my assignments. You can get rid of 7 by going to control panel and removing the Mozilla file. then look for the FF 6 upload. I warn you though. It REALLY wants to be 7. Don't allow any updates to happen or you will be in the same position.
I like Firefox and it is truly disappointing that they would force this situation. My nest step is back to IE 8 which wants to be 9. Arghh! -
Why are all the sound levels so different!?? With VST's and in Ultrabeat...
I'm having so much trouble with the audio levels in logic pro. It seems every VST has a completely different level when the volume on the vst is set to 100. Miroslav Philharmonik is EXTREMELY quiet..., and when I load drums into ultrabeat, they immediately peak like crazy. I tried loading my drums up in battery 3 after that, and all the drums where extremely quiet compared to my other vst's YET it showed in the mixer that they were peaking????? I don't understand what's happening, I know you have to mix but this never happened in any other daw that I've used.

It's one of a the reasons mixers have volume controls.
Seriously - an orchestral instrument is likely to have hundreds of parts all playing at once. If each part was designed to hit close to 0dB, then it would be impossible to do anything as the resultant mix would be massively loud - you'd have to turn everything down all the time.
Drums are probably going to be peaking fairly loud in a mix, as they do contain a lot of the energy.
There is no standard. A mono synth will often have hotter levels than a polysynth part, as the polysynth could be playing 8-32 voices all at once. Also, different patches, and different instruments themselves will be programmed to have different volume levels.
This is all true regardless of DAWs, and is nothing specifically to do with Logic.
All all the instruments, and mixer channels have volume controls, to let you control their volume and place them where they need to be for your needs. -
