Why do eBay item listings no longer change colors after being viewed?

Need some help with a problem – in the past, when I opened a specific listing on eBay, it changed color from blue to red when I got back out of the listing. As of late, they do not change and remain blue. As I do 20-30 music title searches daily, the color change was a real time saver as I could tell immediately when I had begun yesterday’s search as it was now red. Without the color change, I have to pay much more attention and invariably end up searching beyond that point until I realize it. Do you have any idea how I can get back to the color change? Any help would be much appreciated.

I've seen more posts from people that also have this issue with visited links while using the Back button, so this behavior may be a regression and caused by using the cache more aggressively.
Does opening the link in a new tab work to show the visited state of links?

Google web listings don't change color after clicking on them

I don't know if this is a Google or a Firefox problem. When I do a search on Google and then click on one of the sites they list, the listing used to change from blue to purple so when I went back to that page of listings, I'd know which I had already clicked on. Now they just all stay blue.
I don't know how long this has been going on. But I've been meaning to write you about it for a while. I don't know if it happened after an update. I haven't found a Firefox setting that turns that feature off and on.

Repairing permissions is important, and should always be carried out both before and after any software installation or update.
Go to Disk Utility (this is in your Utilities Folder in your Application folder) and click on the icon of your hard disk (not the one with all the numbers).
In First Aid, click on Repair Permissions.
This only takes a minute or two in Tiger, but longer in Leopard.

If you were having any serious problems with your Mac you might as well complete the exercise by repairing your hard disk as well. You cannot do this from the same start-up disk. Reboot from your install disk (holding down the C key). Once it opens, select your language, and then go to Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. Select your hard disk as before and click Repair.
Once that is complete reboot again from your usual start-up disk.

My places.sqlite file size is 30,720 KB have I reached the maximum size, is there even a maximum size for this.
Suddenly the visited links are no longer changing font color, as I am preparing for an exam I need visited questions to change color, to keep track of questions that I have finished. But if I delete a few days of history then again,a few more visited links change color then again it stops, so it seems something is getting full and not able to accommodate any more? Why are my visited links no longer changing color after a certain number of visits? I do have a back up of the places.sqlite file. So I have tried everything from deleting the profile, uninstalling reinstalling, creating a new profile, then copy pasting places.sqlite etc, but as mentioned after a few visits, visited links no longer change color, if I delete a few days of history then again a few visits will again change color and then stop again, so what should I increase so that my visited links quota is increased, I have also tried tweaking about:config and it has had no result. Although I was not really confident that increasing brower.history_max _pages (don't remember exact name, but I am sure you get the idea) is going to help.
Seems as though my visited links change color, quota is full and only if I delete a few days of history will I get a few more visited links to change color. Can somebody shed some light? As mentioned my places.sqlite file size is 30,720 KB so I think perhaps this has something to do with this? Would really appreciate if someone could help. Thank you.

There is no maximum for the places.sqlite database and other SQLite database files like I wrote above. 
All SQLite database file have fixed minimum sizes and if they run out of space they are automatically increased in size with a specific chunk size. For places.sqlite this is 10 MB for the minimum and for the chunk.

Visited Google Links No Longer Change Color

On my preferred browser Safari 4.1.3, visited Google links no longer change color from blue to violet. Any fix other than upgrading OS and Safari browser?

Hmmm, still works in Safari 4.0.4 here.
I think I'd clear the caches, with one of the many apps that do so, I prefer Applejack...

After installing, reboot holding down CMD+s, (+s), then when the DOS like prompt shows, type in...
applejack AUTO
Then let it do all 6 of it's things.
At least it'll eliminate some questions if it doesn't fix it.
The 6 things it does are...
Correct any Disk problems.
Repair Permissions.
Clear out Cache Files.
Repair/check several plist files.
Dump the VM files for a fresh start.
Trash old Log files.
First reboot will be slower, sometimes 2 or 3 restarts will be required for full benefit... my guess is files relying upon other files relying upon other files! :-)
Disconnect the USB cable from any Uninterruptible Power Supply so the system doesn't shut down in the middle of the process.

my visited links in search have suddenly stopped changing color? how to get back to color after visiting?

I had this problem (or similar). Links changed color as I clicked them, but if I reload the page with all the links, they're all back to "unclicked". None of the above fixes helped.
Things started behaving properly after I disabled all add-ons (and removed ones that were outdated), then re-enabled them one at a time. I can't get the problem to reoccur, so I don't know exactly what add-on was causing it.

Calendar meetings changing times after being modified

I have only a couple clients out of about 50 who have this issue.
I have a user (A) who is a delegate of user (B).
User A created a meeting on Alex's calendar using outlook client 2010. Meeting is for Alex and Steve.
On 4/10/15 9:30-10:30 - user A moved the meeting to 4/23/15 9:15.
It was verified that the meeting modification shown up on the Outlook 2010 client for Alex.
The following day, the meeting reverted back to 4/10/15 9:30-10:30 and it appears as if it reverted back at the original time of 9:30.
The meeting that reverted on Alex's calendar did not have any updated notes either, however, Steve's Calendar in OWA/ user's A delegate view had the correct meeting date with the updated notes.
User A seems to have several similar issues of meetings reverting back after being modified but this seems random. It doesn't always happen and user A schedule many meetings per day.
Things I have done:
Rebuilt OST files for all users, Created a new Outlook Profile for all users, reinstalled Outlook 2010 on all desktops, enabled the Calendar Repair Assistant for all users. Made sure all software has been updated to the most current updates as well as windows.
Anything else that may be done or that can figure out why the 1 user who is a delegate of Alex and Steve seems to be the only person who has issues with Calendar meetings?

Before going further, I'd like to ask the following questions to narrow down the issue:
1. Are the affected users connecting to their Mailboxes from multiple clients?
2. If Alex check the meeting date via OWA, is there the same issue?
In addition, base on my research, I recommend you try the following methods and check if any helps:
1. Don't use Exchange cache mode
2. Let the user use a single client to connect his mailbox
3. Try to move these affected mailboxes to another database

Photosmart Premium C309g-m changes color after one copy

I have a Photosmart Premium C309g-m. I have been printing from it since I got my iMac12,2. When I try to print more than one copy of a particular item, the color changes an the 2nd one. I can only print one at a time accurately. I can't even set the next one up while the first is printing, I have to wait until the printer stops and then I can print the next one. Hope someone can help!

Try COPYING a page with purple color on it. If it prints the color, then the printer is fine, and there may be a color management issue in your PC. If it doesn't print purple when copying too, then the printhead has a problem. You should call HP Tech Support and ask for a printhead replacement.

Screen changes colors after macbook dropped

Yesterday I accidentally dropped my laptop and when trying to recover, the screen changes from alternating full screen colors (red - green - blue and then black and white gradients). I'm guessing this has to do with the graphics but I am not sure if this has happened to anyone else and if there is some sort of reset button.?

That symptom appearing after a drop surely indicates hardware damage so no reset, even if available, is going to help. You'll need to have an Apple Store or Authorized service provider evaluate it. Hopefull it is something small like a damaged display cable but, if the GPU was jarred from its solder joints by the impact (quite likely) the only real cure is a new logic board.
If you have homeowners'/renters' insurance, put your carrier on notice of an accident. many such policies cover repair/replacement after an accident--even outside the home--subject to the usual deductible.

Craigslist headers will not change color after clicking on it

When I browse craigslist and click on a header to view the ad, when i go back, i have no way of knowing that i already clicked on a link because the color does not change. I have searched on the internet for a remedy but am unable to find one!

This can happen because Craigslist opens the page in a frame, so you aren't visiting the page directly.
You could try to check that if you right-click the frame and use "This Frame > Open Frame in New Tab" to see if that affects the visit state

Mail photo attachment changes format after being sent?

When I take a photo using the iPad camera and send it as an attachment in mail, how can I ensure the photo will maintain the same format after sending it, as it did when I took the photo? Recipients of my email with a portrait photo attachment, will receive the attachment in landscape format. This also happens to photos I've taken and saved previously in photos on my iPad2.
Does anyone know why this happens or how I can prevent it from happening?

I have seen this effect on photos received from an iPhone camera. I suggest you let Apple know so they can fix it in a future iOS update. Go to <iPad Feedback>.
When saved, the side-ways photos seem to end up right-side-up, if that is any consolation.

When I visit a site in a google search and return to the search list the heading changes from blue to purple. Is there anyway change to a different color? It is very difficult to distinguish between the 2 colors.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Why don't my Keyboard and track pad work after being connected to Apple Thunderbolt Display?

I've run into this several times, after closing than unhooking the thunderbolt cables with an external usb keyboard and mouse hooked to the display, the keyboard and track pad no longer work on my macbook pro. I end up having to hard boot it (holding down power button). This seems like a glaring bug since I can reproduce this often.

so far during the re installation, the trackpad has already been ignored but the USB mouse still works so I don't know whats going to happen.
