Why do I get an error message every time I attept to download firefox?

Every time I attempt to download it, a message comes up saying the download has been interrupted. I click okay and resume it, only to get a message saying the file is corrupt. I'm using windows 8 and as far as I know everything is up to date and meets all the requirements.

Another possibility is to open the Mozilla FTP website in <u>Windows Explorer</u> and download the Firefox set up file that way.

I have a Free Agent external backup hard drive connected to my iMac Intel desktop via USB, I never unplug it. Why do I get an error message, from time to time, upon startup stating, "Disk was disconnected improperly. Always eject disk before disconnecting."?

I never unplug the external harddrive, and the error message comes up only occassionaly upon startup. Maybe the USB connection gets disrupted enough to cause the computer to see it as disconnected and then reconnected while the iMac is powered.

Why am I constantly receiving an error message EVERY time I try to download an update for my device?

I am unaware if this is caused by iTunes or if it's my internet connection or if it's just my computer. Every time I try to download an update for my device (iPhone 4, iPod 3rd Gen) it returns with an error message of 3259. This error message states that my connection timed out. This causes me to browse the internet for the same update and download it with my web browser. It is a hastle. In iTunes, the entire update will download but when it comes to the "processing file" portion my connection just times out.
Please, if anyone has any suggestions on how to fix this issue I would really appreciate it

Even after uninstalling and re-installing adobe, I still get this error message every time a new window opens. How do I cure this: Windows cannot find '(see details below)'.

I think there might be a bug in FF18. After the upgrade, I would also get the error message and couldn't open any site, though using "No proxy" worked I believe. Turns out I had something set under network.proxy.socks (and network.proxy.socks_port) (leftovers of tests done a while back) and even though they shouldn't have been used (I believe, FF17 didn't & I'm using "Use system proxy settings") they obviously were, leading to the problem.
Just resetting those 2 options fixed things for me, and I didn't have time to look into it more, but there might be a bug in there somewhere...
Maybe try checking under about:config if you have any proxy settings set (that you don't need/use) (You don't seem to have any set, but I can't recall if they were visible in the Preferences window or not for me...), and if so reset them. Or just look for any (network) options not using its default value... (Assuming, as it did for me, that running FF18 with a brand new profile works fine.)

SO i have this problem with Internet videos for example: YouTube, and other sites which contains videos. I have tried to download YouTube app but I still get those error messages "playback error", I am using video downloader pro to download videos, but the problem is that I can't watch them... I don't get this problem when trying to view videos IN my iPod though. I think this problem may caused that I have gave my friend to crack my iPod because before cracking it everything was fine. hello, can you try to replicate this behaviour when you launch firefox in safe mode once? if not, maybe an addon is interfering here...

Rented movie has expired yet it still tries to download to iTunes so I get an error message every time I start iTunes

I rented a movie - it expired a month ago. iTunes still tries to download the movie every time i start iTunes. I get an error that it couldn't download the movie.
help....

did both as yo usuggested and it goes away while iTunes is up and running which is better than before.
However, when I restart iTunes it just comes back.
there is something else that initiates the need for the download.

Why do I get these error messages saying that "HWNetMgr" and "HWPortDetect" are insecure start up items?

I have a brand new MacBook Pro, and two days ago I tried to install a Mobile Broadband named Tele2 Mobile partner, in cooperation with Huawei. The installation couldn't finish, so I removed the components that I could see had already been installed. But ever since I tried to install it, I get two error messages every time I start up safari, saying that I have two insecure start up items named "HWNetMgr" and "HWPortDetect". I have checked my start up items, and the only one I had was Spotify. I removed Spotify as a start object and restarted the computer, but I still got those two error messages. I have now searched through my computer several times and I just can't find these two things.
Does anyone know what this is about? What can I do to make these error messages go away? I am open to try any suggestions possible! This is a huge investment to me and I just don't want to have ruined it the first week! Please help me!

About two weeks ago I started getting this error message every time I started up Firefox: xmlNode.getElementsByTagName("id")[0].firstChild is null - 2.
I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox, but the error continues. Then I did a System restore to several months ago, but the error continues. It doesn't happen with any other program.
Does anyone know how to get rid of it. If it has anything to do with the registry, I'll just have to let it be and switch to a different browser.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
