  • Face Recognition Error - you don't have permission to perform this task

    Hi..
I bought my TOSHIBA laptop from Spain, so it would be in Spanish for sure ..
When i started the lap for the first time I tested the face recognition and other Toshiba software and they all worked .. but after two days i changed the display language to English and now i can't enter face recognition.
It tells me "You Do not have permission to perform this task. Please contact your administrator for help" ..
so what should i do ???

    > don't really understand the instructions going through the CMD route
Using CMD you could enable the real Admin account but as far as I know you can uninstall the Face Recognition software in control panel -> software
Here remove the face recognition and reboot the notebook.
    This should work too.
    >There are 2 drivers on the Toshiba website, but the latest is from 2010, did this work for you, as it didn't for me?
It would be interesting to know the notebook model. But the latest version should work properly.
Important is that you would remove the old version from the system firstly!

  • "you don't have permission to open this file" when trying to attach in firefox ONLY. Works in other browsers and windows permissions are wide open.

Only a problem in Firefox. Works in IE and Chrome. I went thru support ideas of checking windows permissions (wide open and the user is the owner), starting firefox in safe mode and uninstalled/reinstalled firefox. Same problem. Any file in My Documents gives the same error, so it is not file related. Any directory under My Documents works the same. I can move files to Desktop and then they attach fine.

As mentioned in the original post, the user IS the owner and the permissions are WIDE open for the user. I have also tried to disable the anti-virus - no luck. The problem is ONLY happening in Firefox. Chrome and IE work perfect. There is also no problem in Windows. The user can add/remove/edit files in the directory. Right now the solution seems to be to use Chrome. I'm not excited about that, but at this point, the only option.

  • Forbidden; You don't have permission to access this document on this server.

I am trying to request Daily iTunes U log reports and I am getting the following error: Forbidden  You don't have permission to access this document on this server.
Does any one know what it means? Is Identity necessary?
The URL I am using look like:
    http://deimos.apple.com/WebObjects/Core.woa/API/GetDailyReportLogs/example.edu?StartDate=2011-05-01&EndDate=2011-06-01&credentials=Administrator@urn:mace:itunesu.com:sites:example.edu&identity=&signature=38bda70d9aa6975ae8756754034feb6e3c794aca4b21665f6dc85d2ed4 2d4f6b

Check to make sure that the user in question doesn't have something in their Hosts file on their desktop.  Otherwise I don't see why SharePoint or the load balancer should be sending them to an Apache Unix web server when trying to resolve Office
Web Apps.  Something is misdirecting the http request for that user to the wrong server.  If its just one user then I would suspect that something is wrong with TCP/IP locally.

  • You Don't Have Permission to View This Calendar

I upgraded from Leopard Server 10.5.8 to 10.6
My site has individual blogs and a group wiki.
For some reason, I can't access my individual or group calendars.
It results in an error message saying I don't have permission to view the calendar.
I did not see an obvious way to recreate the calendar for myself or my group, or to fix the permissions.
Has anyone else seen this problem?
    Thanks in advance.

I have a fresh install of 10.6 running on our internal network. Other computers in the network can find the machine. Wiki and Blogs are up and running, and I can edit them freely once I log in via the web interface.
Initially, the Web Calendar displayed the error you wrote about above... "You don't have permission to view this calendar".
After finding this thread, I changed the default IP address in the Wiki Server portion of Server Admin to what I thought was the FQDN (machinename.domain.net), but what I actually did was use ".com" instead of ".net" at the end. Oops.
After a minute, I found the error and switched .com to .net. I still get the same permissions error, but now if I'm NOT logged in as a user, and I try to access any web page, I get a dialog that reads...
To view this page, you must log in to area “/Search” on machinename.domain.net:80.
And none of the logins work. After pressing cancel it reads...
Unable to access calendar, because the Web service is configured incorrectly.
I can login through the regular login process, but that strange dialog box above will not let me login. Either way I have yet to see a web calendar working.
    Any help appreciated. Thanks.

  • You don't have permission to open this file.

I'm trying to add an Entity Data Model to a Project in Visual Studio 2013.
When I browse to the file to connect to it says
"You don't have permission to open this file. Contact the owner or administrator for permission."
When I go back to SQL Management Studio and check the Server Roles assigned to my user name, I'm listed as a sysadmin.
I clicked ALL the other server roles for good measure, but this does not help.
When I installed SQL Server 2012 I created another user on my computer to serve as the SQL Server Services Account for SQL Server Agent and SQL Server Database Engine.
I notice that this user shows up as the database owner for the database I'm trying to connect to, even though I was logged on using my user name when I created the database.
    Thanks in advance.

I don't know much about Entity Data Model, but if you get an error about lack of permission for opening a file (what file?), SQL Server is probably not the right place to look for file permissions. SQL Server is about managing data in databases, not
files in the file system. For file-permission errors, you need to look in Windows. Or try starting Visual Studio with "Run as Administrator".

  • CS4 Admin "You don't have permission to edit this page"

I am new to Contribute.  Created a website in Dreamweaver CS4, using templates, can put and checkin files, seems fine.  FTP client has full access to all folders.  Site in browser OK, Dreamweaver OK.  Contribute starts and connects OK, access via FTP.  I am the Admin. No lock files.  For some reason Contribute won't let me edit most pages - getting error bar below Address that says "You don't have permission to edit this page".  On some pages the bar is not there, but when I click on Edit Page button a dialog box pops up with the same message.  I tried deleting the _mm folder and recreated the site admin info.  Still no luck.
Does this sound familiar?  Anyone know how to troubleshoot?  Does Contribute write out debug logs?  Any ideas what to try?  Thanks!

A bit more info, I hope it helps.  We do not use Contribute Publishing Server.  In Contribute I can create a new page derived from a template and publish it.  If I try to browse to that page again it says I don't have permission to edit the page.  We use FTP to connect.  There is only one FTP account for the website, so it's not an issue of Dreamweaver logging in differently from Contribute.  My standalone FTP client is FileZilla and I cannot view folder or file permissions directly in that program.

  • Root cause of error " Access denied. You do not have permission to perform this action or access this resource" - workflow - SharePoint 2013

    Good evening, technet community
I hope you are doing well.
When configuring my SharePoint workflow, I encounter the problem below:
    Problem Description:
Let's say my domain is: test.com, my group user is: test\group , my user is: test\user1
Except an admin account with full control at both "Web Application" and "Site Collection", all others account all have problem when creating a list item. After creating a list item, the workflow status is "cancelled" immediately
    with the following message:
RequestorId: 262a35e4-99f4-40f0-929b-5d04b415f147. - The workflow is still fail even I assign "full control" to my users group "test\group" – at Site Collection level.
Surprisingly, I have successfully found a solution for this error message. However, I still have some points that I do not clearly understand. Let's start with my solution first.
    Solution:
*** i. Assign permission policy at Web Application level – Central Admin site ***
    1. Central Administration ==> Application management
    ==> Manage Web application
    2. Go to "permission policy", then create a new permission level. This permission level contains all "edit item" permission.
    3. Select "user policy", then I assign it directly to my user account: test\user1.
*** ii. Assign "edit item" permission at Site Collection level ***
    1. Site Setting ==> Site permission
    2. Assign "Edit" permission to my test\group.
(Actually I removed all permissions of my user group at Site Collection level. It seem my group has inherited permission from Web Application level, is that correct? )
*** iii. Create a new list item and workflow runs ……. ***
    ==> My question is:
    1. Why I cannot assign permission to my users group - "test\group" -
at "Web Application" level? Instead I have to assign permission policy for each users, one by one?
    2. Could you please let me know how to collect full detail error message of workflow status?
Thank you very much! Have a nice weekend.

Thank you for your very detail response.
Point 1: Yes my 2 service: user profile & profile sync service are running. I performed "full synchronization" as well. Actually i've tried 3 another action plans before coming up with the solution i posted:
    *** Actions completed ***
    1. Activate the feature: workflow can use app permissions.
Site actions > Site Settings > Site features >activate the feature below:
     Workflows can use app permissions
    2.
Refresh trusted security token services metadata feed
    Get-SPTimerJob
    "RefreshMetadataFeed"
    | Start-SPTimerJob
    - then restart the machine.
    3. Start full user profile synchronization.
    Point 2:
    - Yes my user had Edit permission at workflow task list + list affected by workflow.
I have just remove all permissions of my user at "Site Collection" level. However, when i show my user permissions at my workflow task list and my users still have "Edit" Permission ( assigned at Web Application level. These permissions
still exist even after my workflow task list stop inheriting permission).
==> the problems probably belongs to "permission" at "Site Collection level". It seems "permission level at my Site Collection does not work". All users accounts are also suffer from the same issues except farm admin account
( which has full control at Web Application level).
I would appreciate if your guys can guide me how to make "permission" at my "Site Collection level" work again?
    Thank you very much.

  • Cannot play shared videos - get "you don't have permission to access the requested resource" error

When I try to access my shared videos from my iphone 5 (OS 7.01), I get the "You do not have permission to access the requested resource".  The videos I'm trying to play are mine....ripped, not ones purchased from apple.

    I had this problem too.
I am running iTunes on an old PowerPC MacMini using iTunes 10.6.3. I was trying to stream video on my iPad mini and kept getting the error: "You do not have permission to access the requested resource".
So, I turned on iTunes on my laptop which is using Mavericks and the latest version of iTunes. It worked fine off it. It's just sometimes I like to keep my laptop in its bag and run things off my iPad through my MacMini.
So, I did follow the reset network settings on my iPad. It fixed it temporarily. In the middle of an episode of BBT the error message came up again.
I tried starting iTunes again. I reboot the machine. Still got the error.
So, I ran Onyx on the MacMini. There were a lot of permission errors on the hard drive. Once I fixed those, it seems I now have permission to access that resource.
If you have a disk utility, try running it on your source computer to fix any disk permissions or errors that may be causing the error.
In my case, it was the disk permissions needed repair.

  • Yosemite Calendar v8: "You don't have permission to modify this event."

I'm getting this message when I right-click on a day in Calendar version 8.0
    and select "New event":
    What to do?
    HALP !!!

No, this is the Calendar in the Dock.
Its been part of the base OS since as long as I know.

  • Just got the iPad mini. Why can't I view my Facebook profile? (I'm using the Facebook app) I can open my News Feed but when I go to my page, it comes out with a notice "page doesn't exist, or you don't have permission to view this page" HELP!

It's frustrating to not be able to view my own Facebook page using the iPad mini. I have the iPad 1 and the Facebook app works fine there, I can see my personal FB page with 1. Is this characteristic of the iPad mini only?

    Try this:
Make sure IOS is updated to latest version
Reboot device by pressing both the home button and sleep/wake (power) buttons at the same time for 10-15 seconds until the apple logo appears on the screen, then let go.
If that doesn't work then reset the device by going to settings/general/reset/reset all settings
(no media or data will be deleted from the device, this will only take a minute).
If none of those work, delete the app and install it again.
