Why do I have this small white dot on my macbook pro display screen?

I have this white dot on my macbook pro display screen. It doesn't go away. Anybody knows what it is? Any suggestions?

Because the developer needed to create the two versions separately and has chosen to charge for both.

I have a small white dot in the middle of my screen.

Is there something wrong with my screen itself? Is it defective? Should I bring it back to the Apple store? The dot does not go away. I first noticed it when I was watching movies on netflix. I spent so much money on this laptop and having something wrong with it after 6 months just *****.

It is possible it could be defective or damaged. Take it to an apple store and have it checked out.

Dots on my Macbook Pro retina screen?

Every now and then, these dots will appear on my screen. They are NOT a display/screen issue as far as the computer goes...I can wipe them away with a cloth, but they are a little harder to get off the screen than usual.
Wondering what they could be? They seem mostly cosmetic as far as the issue goes, but I'd like to know just in case.

Well it's been an issue with MacBooks of all flavors and goes all the way back to the iBook G3s. Those were plastic screens so it was worse. I've also seen it on PC laptops.

Macbook Pro w/ Retina Display produces small white spots, how do I clean the screen?

How do I remove the white spots from the Macbook Pro display? The cleaning cloth takes out few of the spots, but I don't want to apply so much pressure on the display, as it may damage it. I'm a little nervous about using liquids, should I? Any solutions? Cloths? Liquids? Etc.

I've noticed that people offer various personal advice on this, but nobody references the engineers who actually designed and built the screen. I'm assuming Apple did consult the engineers on this issue and they actually took the time to write about it in the "MacBook Pro Important Product Information Guide." They probably thought it was important or something. ;-)
I'll quote page 2 from the 2012 rMBP version:
"Cleaning the McBook Pro Screen To clean your MacBook Pro screen, first shut down your MacBook Pro and unplug the power adapter. Then dampen the included cleaning cloth with just water and wipe the screen. Do not spray liquid directly on the screen." (Emphasis added.)
Coming from a machining background, I would recommend using a swirling motion to avoid wearing the screen in a uniform manner. Take note that this is not explicitly stated in the guide, and is probably not necessary considering the included cloth is so soft that it probably wouldn't affect the screen this way.

Small White Dot lower left

I've noticed a small white dot that appears on the screen when CS5 is active. I've changed the background from neutral gray to black and sure enough it's there and only appears when PSCS5 is open. It doesn't matter if I have a photo open or not. I first noticed it when working on a photo and tried to use the clone tool to remove it. It tried cleaning the screen and finally figured out that it is Photoshop that produces the white dot. As soon as I click Finder or any other application the dot disappears. Weird! It appears about 1.5 inches from the left edge of the screen and about 1 inch from the bottom.
Anyone one else see this or is it just me?

Sorry. We can't help you. It's no longer an iPhone. Apple won't touch it.
Take it to whoever replaced the screen and see if they can help you.
iPhones are not user servicable and Apple does not sell iPhone parts at all. I'd be surprised if you were actually able to back it up at this point. It sounds like it's completely borked.

Muse 100% width elements and images have a small white gap running along the right hand side on mobile site

On the mobile version of my site all the 100% width elements and images have a small white gap running along the right hand side. This looks very unprofessional. There are no other elements outside the area. Any ideas anyone? All advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

I have checked you site on the phone and it seems that Zak is correct.
Please go to the phone layout and make sure there is no element out side the browser area at the right side.
You can simply do Select All to find if anything is outside the browser area. If you find anything you either need to delete it or you need to bring it in the browser area.
If still an issue please share he muse file with us and we will investigate it further.

It likely means there was still water inside it and something has now shorted out and permanently damaged one or more components. THE very worst thing you can do with wet electronics is energize them - even a small drop of water inside on any of the circuitry or electrical contacts can cause catastrophic damage.
Take it to Apple for a free evaluation, but most likely you will need to replace it. For the out of warranty fee ($269.00 USD) you will get a refurbished replacement (like new, with a factory new screen and battery). An out of warranty replacement will also re-instate your remaining warranty, or 90 days warranty, whichever is longer.

White dots or pixels on new iPad screen.

I recently purchased a new 16gb wifi New iPad and while applying a new screen guard I noticed 2 very small white dots on the screen under the glass. These dots are not noticeable while the screen is on unless you really look for them. Has anyone else found the same thing with their new iPad and is it worth returning my iPad for a replacement.?

At first I thought that I had damaged it but couldn't understand why there seemed to be in the same spot one on top of the other.
It's like there is a small bit of dust that has managed to get between the screens and then when I have been using the iPad it has somehow split in two and stuck to both the inside of the outter screen and the inner screen, if that makes sense....

I discovered how to enter the track titles onto my newer MacBook Pro, and was so pleased! But when I tried to do the same with the other laptop, it failed.
What I did, basically, was what the Apple Help suggested--choose iTunes General Preferences, etc.etc. And yes, I did upgrade the old laptop to the newest iTunes version.
Am I just wasting my time here? Is there some reason why an older Mac Pro will not do what the newer one will, with regard to iTunes?
My older laptop is a 2.6 GHz Core Duo; it has 36 GB of "memory available." The newer one a 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7. It has 284 GB of memory available.
Both are using the same version of Snow Leopard--10.6.8.

My MacBook Pro's screen just started randomly going blank, sometimes white sometimes black, and I won't be able to do anything no matter what key I press unless I restart it via the power button and even then I have a few minutes before it happens again

MacBook Pro's screen randomly goes blank (white sometimes dark), wont be able to do anything no matter what key i press unless i turn it off and on via the power button. When i do that I normally have just a few minutes before it happens again. Bought this back in december just started happening a few days ago. Only thing out of the ordinary I've done is install that microsoft silverlight or whatever it is netflix asked me to install to watch the videos but I uninstalled that quickly hoping it would fix my problem but it hasn't so please help me out if you know what to do
