Why do I have to double touch my apps to work?

Why is my touch now speaking instructions to me? I touch the photo app once and it says" photos, double tap to open". Please help me stop this. Thanks

Head to Settings -> General - > Accessibillity and make sure VoiceOver is turned off. You'll have to double tap each of these to proceed. You'll also need to use 3 fingers to scroll as well.

You need to run your HP Touchsmart Touch Screen Calibrations Utility . O. K. We are going to turn up the sensitivity . When you run it do not touch the glass hold your finger as close to the screen with out touching the glass until the cursor moves. If you touch the glass rerun the Calibrations Utility again after it finished. It is located in PC help and tools. Now your screen won't secound guess your touch. You should be able to touch the screen ounce. Now you know when to run Calibrations Utility every time you have to touch twice. Except when you are playing drawing games on line. Than you will need to tap the drawing pad twice to stabilized the Internet Explorer sceen. Of course if you have nats or misquotes then it becomes a pain because they land on the screen they set stuff off. Let me know if this doesn't work.

That's up to the seller of the app. Many, but not all, apps will work on both the iPhone and iPad. For those apps that do you only need to pay for them once, as long as they were purchased with the same Apple ID. But app developers have the option of selling separate versions of their app for iPhone and iPad. For those apps you have to pay for them for each platform.

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

Why doesn't the update part of the App Store work? It says I have an update and the screen is white. I've already restarted the phone. Every other part of the App Store works. I have the iPhone 4. Upgraded a week ago to iOS6 and it was working fine up until yesterday. Not sure what to do? Help!

Why do I have to double-tap my messages to get them to open??

When checking my email, I have to double-tap each message to get it to open. WHY?? Just started doing this today!!

Thanks! Problem solved. I've had an iPhone for two years and never noticed that feature of iOS. Somehow, my son must have stumbled on it.
Apple, if you're peeking in on this, please put someone to work on making that feature more useful. There is no (obvious) way to scroll menus! Also, you should add a Voice Over command to disable that mode.

Why do I have to "renew Touch ID purchases" all the time?

Why do I have to enter my Apple ID password when updating apps?
If I make new purchases, it seems to go thru with touch ID most of the time, however if I update an app I am forced to manually enter my password.
I have the 7.0.1 update and apple store purchases under the general->fingerprint section is turned on.
I have searched here and the common theme is do the update. It's not that.
So short question is, why do I have to "Confirm Apple ID password for <insert my Apple ID> to renew Touch ID purchases"?

Why do I have to keep resetting home sharing to work

Why do I have to keep turning off home sharing and then turning it back on to watch movies from my mac mini to my tv via apple tv? I just bought apple tv brand new from the apple store yesterday. My mac mini also has the latest update.

Why do i have to use the podcast app in iOS6 since it doesn't work correctly

I upgraded to iOS 6 and now you cant download podcasts through the itunes app... Now you have to download the podcast app and use that instead, but that wont work correctly for me... keeps hanging and not downloading the actual podcast. Does anyone know a way to get podcasts in iOS 6 without using this app?

Separating out a podcast app is a step backward. From a marketing perspective, podcasts are seen as something independent from music and television. But from a functionality POV, it just makes it harder to manage your audio on your iPhone.
Consumer Technology's objective has always been to make one device do more things, i.e. combine a phone into a music player. This step is akin to taking the ability to text and spinning it off onto a gadget you attach to your key-ring.
It's still there, but annoying to dig out when you want to use it.

I'm not an expert on the Itunes program so this could be a dumb question, but I'll try to explain this in clear detail and be as brief as possible.
Earlier versions of Itunes did not have this feature or issue, so it was when I updated last year that this became an annoyance. Everytime I click one of my songs to change something like artist, title, rating, etc the entire program will highlight in grey, then I need to double click to get into the tab to add or delete file name stuff. Why is this? The older versions of Itunes I never had to double click out of this grey highlighted box to get into changing text. Maybe it sounds like a dumb reason to be frustrated but most of the songs I listen to are in Japanese so I need to translate them and add the English names, bands, and proper song titles and it drives me crazy you need to double or even triple click on anything to get into it now.

You must have VoiceOver on. You have to go to Settings>General>Accessibility>VoiceOver to turn it off. However, with VoiceOver on you have to flick the screen with three fingers to scroll. Also you have to tap an item on the screen once to select it, then tap again twice to activate it. (Example: To open Settings, tap Settings once to select it, then double-tap Settings to open it.)
