Why do i have to put my personal details on my ipod touch (address, card details...) for downloading free apps and how can i remove them from my ipod?
i'm not comfortable having my details stored on my ipod and want to know the best way to remove them and how can i download free apps without having to put my personal details in, i'm not that bothered about apps i have to buy?
You can create a new iTuunes account that is only good for apps and it does not require a credit card. See:

She can choose to either enable the setting on her iPod to Manually manage music and videos. With setting enabled she can sync content to her iPod from multiple computers without it affecting whats already stored her iPod. The password is good for 15 minutes to make purchases. You should receive a receipt in 24 to 48 hours for the purchases. There is a link to Report an issue. You could use that to start a conversation with iTunes Support about a refund.
Apple considers all sales final. But has been known to offer a one time refund. So the question is, do you want to use your one time refund on this purchase or one more expensive in the future? -

I have two apps on my Mac App Store that won't update no matter what I do.
One of them is not even mine. It shows a weird russian email address that does not belong to me.
The other one says "updated" but won't go away from the updates list no matter what I do (Reboots, etc).
How can I erase them? I need niether apps.

There are two things here. The first one is that the apps aren't of course hacked/pirated. The mac is of a friend of mine. She's 65 or something and has no idea on how to hack apps, plus, afaik, nobody else has access to her computer.
Secondly, the thing is that niether app shows at the app list, and we even made a find from a terminal window, and got no results of the apps.
It is a very strange behavoir and if somebody has a solution I'll be glad to hear it.
BTW, She just upgraded her machine to OS X 10.8.1, I'll check if the upgrad fixed the bug.

Because you can only synce with one iTunes library and you are switching libries by using the new computer. To nake this yyour syncing computer:
- Move all the media(apps, music, synced video and photos etc) to the new computer.
- Connect the iPofd yo the computer and bake a backup fo the iPod by right clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and select Back Up
- Restore the iPod from that backup.
Note that the backup that iTunes makes doe not include media.

Try from a computer. You may have to reset your password. If you can't get the comfirmation email then you can use the secret question. Once you can log in then you change the the email address.

Have you tried unpairing the remote? You do this by pointing your remote at the Apple TV and holding the MENU and Left buttons down together for 6 seconds.

If it backed up to my laptop, that died and I just got the new computer. The one that's crashed won't even boot, so there's no way to even tell if it was syncing the contacts along with all the phone photos. Literally happened at the same time - it was because I had the new computer that I was finally able to pull the photos off the phone and make room for the upgrade. It had refused to upgrade for lack of space for some time.
I had thought it was set to sync to iCloud but it vanished from BOTH my phone and the cloud. That's why I'm so angry about it.
