Why do I keep getting a server connection error?!

I've installed Digital Editions, but every time I try to authorise my pc it says there is a connection error and it couldn't connect to the activation server. My internet connection is working fine, I've disabled my pop-up blocker, ad blocker, mcafee and allowed Digital Editions through the firewall. Why isn't it working?

Digital Editions could not connect to the activation server. Please make sure you are connected to the internet."
As I said, I'm definitely connected to the internet. I've added DE to the programmes allowed through my firewall, turned off the pop up blocker and temporarily disabled mcafee, but the error message still keeps popping up.
I'm using Windows 7. Any ideas?!

In the past, I had some problems with my laptop so I recently re-installed Windows 7 yesterday. I got everything running fine. But today, I am having problems with flash player. Youtube videos don't play correctly and some websites don't display like they are supposed to. So, I tried redownloading adobe flash player, but I keep getting this "Lost connection" error. What is the problem and how do I fix it? I'm using FireFox, btw. It seems to work on Google Chrome but I like using FireFox better.

Why do I keep getting the windows messenger error even after disabling it?

Hi,
I am trying to download the flash player 10 on my windows XP computer. I get the error(s) close "Internet Explorer" and close "Windows messenger" during download. I closed Internet Explorer ok, but still keep getting the Windows messenger error even after stopping it and disabling it. I also have IT on medium and firewall and antivirus disabled.
How do I fix this problem. Please help. I need a flash player for work...Thanks

Why do i keep getting the "internet connection timeout" error message?

i have been upgrading a few standard itunes albums to itunes plus versions through my 3g mobile broadband connection, while not exactly a fast process, it was working fine until i started to get a backlog of 3 or 4 albums which were waiting in a queue to be downloaded, now every time i do the "check for downloads" option i get the "internet connection timed out" error message...this has been going on for 2 days! am i right in suspecting the backlog of albums is too much for my 3g mobile broadband connection? this is really doing my head in, if any of you techies could help me, it'd be much appreciated...?

yes i have recently updated to itunes 8.2.1, but i am starting to think its apple's servers (i tried to download at my brothers house...different computer and connection...same connection timeout error), because it will still let me download an album, but not necessarily all of the tracks. when i questioned itunes customer services about the seemingly hit and miss state of affairs with downloading, they told me to wait 3 weeks before trying to download the tracks that were giving me the grief (2 tracks from an arctic monkeys album)...which kinda indicates they know there is a problem and are trying to fix it, why else would they say wait 3 wks??? they gave me 5 free music tracks too, which is handy.

After downloading your new version of Firefox 4, I constantly get the same "proxy server refusing connections" screen. I have gone into options and changed the proxy server to "none" at least 25 times in three days. This is a ridiculous waste of my time! How can this be fixed? or if not, how can I go back to a previous version of Firefox that doesn't have this stupid issue?

I keep getting check internet connection errors when uploading to YouTube. Why?

I created a keynote presentation with audio and pictures with some animation of words. I am trying to upload it to YouTube through the share button. It takes a couple minutes to "process the video". Once that reaches completion an error message (yellow triangle with a tiny keynote icon) pops up saying unable to upload. Check internet connection and try again. I've tried again and again and again getting closer to my router. I am using my MacBook Pro Yosemite and recent update of keynote. My file is around 40mb. Why won't it upload?

Keep getting time out connection error when my macair tries to connect to Internet, but my iPad, phone and PC connect straight away. It happens on and off what could be the problem?

Having trouble connecting to Internet with my MacBook Air. It can be fine for a few hours thins goes off and all I get it the message couldn't connect due to time out error connection. It can't be my broadband because I don't have the same problem with my other devices. Is my mac air breaking down?

Why do I keep getting "format not recognized" error?

I was trying to play any of the video podcasts from Nick Jr (e.g iCarly, Drake and Josh) for my kids and I kept getting a "format not recognized" error on my APple TV and when trying to play on my PC with iTunes, the video doesn;t play at all. This seems strange to me as these podcasts are rated in the Top 10 under "kids and family" genre so they must be working for others. I was able to play other podcasts in this genre such as the Sesame Street podcast. Any ideas why these Nick Jr. ones aren't working for me?

I have been having the same problem - with podcasts AND with Movies and TV Shows bought through iTunes. I was hoping the recent 3.0 upgrade would fix it, but no such luck. While this was an occasional problem with iTunes 8, it seems to have turned chronic with iTunes 9.
The annoying "solution" that seems to work is to unplug and replug the Apple TV and quit and restart iTunes. Even then, while watching TV Shows or Movies continuously it seems to work, but after any interruption, either due to shutting off the Apple TV or letting it go to screen saver for an hour or so between shows or movies, iTunes loses it from the device list, and the "format not recognized" message returns.

Why do I keep getting this "Slow Script" error?

Everytime I go to a certain website Safari freezes for about 15 seconds and then displays this odd looking "Slow Script" error message and it says Safari is not responding and asks if I want to continue or cancel. If I continue the webpage runs slowly and may do it if I'm on the page for too long but it still lets me surf it without too much troble. If I cancel the page is frozen and I cannot continue but I can visit another website and continue using Safari normally. Is there any way I can stop these nuisances from popping up and affecting my web surfing? Have you encountered this problem before?

"Slow Scripts" are just that. Slow to load javascript files.
Why they are slow to load is something only the authors of the scripts can determine.

I have no trouble with the URL above. I have a "high speed" connection.
You can use the Safari Activity window to view the page elements. You'll see the URL and file size and a note (in red) about the slow script message.

My browser is the latest Android. Completely stock. I can access the internet. I don't use chrome.
I get the message only when I try to send emails from my Verizon email account. I can sometimes receive email but not all the time. I cannot send emails at all once this happens. I can send and receive emails from other email accounts except Verizon (that is why I am using Hotmail).
If I completely deleted my Verizon account, restart my phone, than add my account back on to the phone, it will work for a couple of emails than I will get the message; send fail. Network error occurred.
