Why do I keep loosing my recovery HD partition?

This is the Third time I have lost my Recovery HD. I notice this when I use find my Mac and it shows up offline. Like I said, this is the third time I have reinstalled OSX 10.8 and successfully used find my mac only to suddenly see it show up as offline again. It works a few weeks or so then its gone. What gives? Anyone else having this issue?

I dont know how this has been going on, but have realised it in the past 2 weeks, i save a couple of contacts or even one, there after a couple of hours or a day the contact disapears. I realized this because i get alot of text messages from unknown numbers in which i save after requesting who the contact is, after saving & a few hours have gone by, when my check my messages the contact is only displayed by a number, going to my contact list its missing. I have realized i have lost alot of contacts this way & this is very disturbing, if im loosing contacts how can i hold up my business & social life? (& mind you same thing happens with email)

I keep loosing some of my contacts. Sometimes I can text a person and send it, then when I check on the message for a reply, the name has gone and the number appears on the screen. When I then check my I pad, the contact has gone from there too!

Why do i keep loosing my settings and homepage setting in safari

when setting homepage and other settings in Safari why do I loose them every time I switch computer off, when I switch computer back on I am on Apple home page instead of my homepage and any settings disappear. As far as I can remember it started when switching up to Mountain Lion and has been doing it ever since.

Back up all data. Don't continue unless you're sure you can restore from a backup, even if you're unable to log in.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership and access-control lists to the default. If you've set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it.
Step 1
If you have more than one user account, and the one in question is not an administrator account, then temporarily promote it to administrator status in the Users & Groups preference pane. To do that, unlock the preference pane using the credentials of an administrator, check the box marked Allow user to administer this computer, then reboot. You can demote the problem account back to standard status when this step has been completed.
Triple-click the following line to select it. Copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C):

The command will take a noticeable amount of time to run. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign (“$”) to appear, then quit Terminal.
Step 2 (optional)
Step 1 should give you usable permissions in your home folder. This step will restore special attributes set by OS X on some user folders to protect them from unintended deletion or renaming. You can skip this step if you don't consider that protection to be necessary, and if everything is working as expected after step 1.
Boot into Recovery by holding down the key combination command-R at startup. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.
When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
Utilities ▹ Terminal
from the menu bar. A Terminal window will open.
In the Terminal window, type this:
res
Press the tab key. The partial command you typed will automatically be completed to this:
resetpassword
Press return. A Reset Password window will open. You’re not going to reset a password.
Select your boot volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button.

Why does TextEdit keep loosing what I typed?

I just lost a whole hours worth of research. I was typing in text edit and then it started making me duplicate the file at every save and then I had to replace the orginal, and I did this several times until I finally decided to close it down (as it's done this before) and when I opened it up again a whole hours worth of research was missing. I clicked on the Restore button but it hadn't saved any of my research for over an hour.
Is there another way to get that restored?

Repairing the permissions of a home folder in Lion is a complicated procedure. I don’t know of a simpler one that always works.
Back up all data now. Before proceeding, you must be sure you can restore your system to its present state

Why does iTunes keep loosing my Album/Movie artwork?

Periodically my artwork will disappear from certain items in my iTunes library. If press Get Info the artwork gets restored.
So I guess I have two questions...
A) why is this happening? I have my iTunes library on a drive, on a remote maching on my network and periodically the drive will get unmounted.... I suspect the loss of artowrk is somehow linked to this...?
B) how can I do the equivalent of Get Info for everything so I don't have to go item by item pressing Get Info? Get album artwork doesn't seem to do it... doesn't work at all for movies..

Why do i keep loosing artwork to my movies

I'm consistantly loosing artwork to my movies. Seems to be inconsistant. . . if I select a movie, do a "Command I", and select the artwork tab, click OK. The artwork will show back up. This problem goes across to ATV2, V5.0. Media Server is MacPro 10.5.8, 4x 2.5 Processor, 8.6G RAM

Why does Encore keep loosing links?????

If I transcode a file from withon Enocre 5.5 before I build a project, EVERY time I close the project, the next time open it it loses all the links to the transcoded files. Does this happen to everyone. I have created several new projects and it ALWAYS happens. Does this happen to everyone? Anyone found a fix for it?

Forgot to ask; what version of Encore?
The Mac equivalent may have been to create a new administrator account and try it from there.
This does not apply to your symptom directly, but does address the loggin in with adminstrator privilges, and creating a new adminstrator account has been a workaround/troubleshooting test.

Did you ever find a resolutution to your issue? I have a similar issue after installing Mavericks where the Arris modem goes to sleep when my iMac does, even though other devices on the network are actively requesting data. For the time being, as long as the iMac doesn't sleep the network is fine.
