Why do I need to use MOLGA?

I know that this is a very basic question, but I have been asked why do we need to have a new MOLGA for every country; what I know of is:
1.     Is the standard method of supporting multi-country (Global) HCM.  MOLGA is central to the SAP HCM solution.
2.     The correct screens are shown in PA30 to maintain the personnel data in the correct formats for social security or equivalent number, form of address, addresses, bank details and so on.
3.     The correct infotypes can be made available by MOLGA, where there are particular pieces of information required on a country by country basis u2013 therefore reducing the risk of non compliance
4.     Correct ESS screens are available
5.     Payroll available by country.  For example the payroll program is run per country using the MOLGA PC00_Mxx_calc, where xx is the country code, therefore for GB it is PC00_M08_calc.
But apparently this is not a compelling enough reason - can anyone help with more good reasons?

Hi Marina
hope you are doing good.
Globalized firms need Integrated systems with Independent County Legal, Labor, Taxation ,Currency , Language requirements.
So a Global ERP System will help to achieve this without compromising the local requirements.
I shared my experience , hope it sound sane.

  • Why do I need to use a CMYK profile?

    Hi all,
I am new to these forums, but have some theoretical and a bit of practical knowledge on Color Management. I know what a dot gain, color space, true black vs composite black, etc are, yet I struggle to build the big picture of the whole thing. I am actually doing design work, where we are going to print a brochure. I have done the Illustrator artwork, it has an embedded image and I am trying to make it ready for a good precise print.
My question is, why do I need a CMYK profile at all??
As I understand it, my document IS CMYK already, i.e. it uses component C, M, Y and K numbers for artwork primitives, and as far as I can understand the whole point of working with CMYK instead of RGB (which is for additive colorimetry - i.e electron guns and LCDs) is the fact that it is suitable for printers. If Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and BlacK inks get input from the CMYK numbers, then the print should look the same on all ink-utilizing devices, should it not?
That said, I understand the point of RGB-to-CMYK conversion and vice versa, since obviously i have to preview my art on my monitor before it gets into printing. But since CMYK profiles exist, does it mean printers printing the same CMYK values get different results? (disregarding issues of different paper weights and dot gains)
Thanks. This has been bugging me, and I am not THAT much into printing yet as to buy the Real World Color Management book i ve been hearing so much about.

    If I may add,
The ONLY times most of us need to embed an ICC profile in a CMYK file are:
    1) We want to PROOF it faithfully on a hardware-calibrated monitor (Photoshop reads the embedded profile and Converts it to Monitor RGB).
    2) We want to PROOF it faithfully on any other hardware-calibrated printer that uses a different Target color space (Photoshop reads the embedded profile and Converts it to the specific target profile). (Or the workflow ignores my Source Profile and Converts to target proofing space based on the wrong working space).
    3) We need to CONVERT it to another profile (Photoshop reads the embedded profile and Converts it to a new target space/profile).
PERSONALLY, when I deliver CMYK it is already Converted to the correct CMYK (directly from my 16-bit Adobe RGB file), and I do not want anyone downstream dinking around with My Color.
The old Quark did this task nicely -- simple place the tif and print the job.
Today's pdf and color-managed layout programs make understanding and implementing this instruction much more confusing and hazardous (how to send 'the numbers' straight through).
If I trust the print shop 100%, I will hand them my 8-bit Adobe RGB and let them do the Conversion to their press CMYK.
Otherwise, send [my] CMYK 'numbers' straight through. Period.
    +++++++
The problems with people who do not understand HOW ICC profile work is they will strip my profile (knowingly or unknowingly) and Assign-Apply-Assume their own profile -- effectively -- hosing my color.
This problem is easy to see in Photoshop by Assign profile.
The classic real-world example is the old-school print shop's clueless "color expert" who ignores our embedded profile, because he says, he has turned "color management off" and "doesn't use profiles." He tells us our file is bad because his print is bad, and he will try to correct our bad color and print another round of proofs.
    Does this sound familiar?
What the cave man actually did was strip our embedded file of its profile, and/or he Applied-Assumed-Assigned his own working space to our file then he takes a sledgehammer and beats our color up into his closed workflow (and he is probably working on an uncalibrated monitor to boot).

  • Why do I need to use GIMP to batch process?

    Dear Adobe,
I'm grinding through thousands of display and template images for an online retailer. Photoshop layering and masks came in quite handy when I was making the templates
but now that it's got down to reusing those templates, I have to look elsewhere.
1 Why does every other piece of software on the market have a batch processing section, and yet you hide yours?
    2. Why does Image Processor refuse to resize both horizontal and vertical, although it claims to? It actually refuses to distort the image to resize, which I actually want it to do. I had
to download GIMP to get this capability, as well as to specify the output file and change the dpi. These are all included in GIMP but not Pshop. Thanks for that. And don't tell
me to go to Actions. THat may be useful for something things, but it's hardly the optimal way to do it, recording your exact actions, and then saving or not saving, and then
seeing what happens. The way I wanted it was in GIMP, and its pathetic that 20 years in, Pshop still doesnt have a credible batch processor, or tell me where it is now.
    Charge extra for that perhaps?
3.What has changed in Bridge CS6 since CS4? I see absolutely nothing different, but then output is still limited to PDF and 'WEB GALLERY' a dysfunctional glob
of code bested easily by jquery, but maybe you've impoved that end. My last experience with web gallery was so dysfunctional that I'll just stick to fixing what's
under the hood myself. I mean web gallery used to be flash, then something else that's not current. Let's just agree its a hobbyist option. Of course,
I don't know why 'output' might include other options for the batch processing of files, since batch rename does actually work, but you guys are the deciders.
    4. Its too bad. This job has taught me a lot of new stuff about layering, masks, and the functionality of the pattern section, which I have no great qualms with, though,
considering how many companies you've bought, you could include tons of patterning capabilities that used to exist in these programs, but that would be too much
expenditure from MGMT. Maybe let's just fix the window views we broke in CS4, and call it a new version.
    5. Thanks for forcing me to discover GIMP, who dont ask a thing. I dont really like being in there yet, but we'll see if that changes with time. They actually have some
different filters and rendering options that Adobe could've included years ago for gun, but again, there's just not enough money to go around at Adobe.

Thanks for both of you proving both that the function doesnt exist.
When the Image Processor resizes image it used the Photoshop Plug-in Fit Image to do the resize.  Both height and width are resized and the image aspect ratio is preserved so the image is not distorted.  That means the image will fit within the height and width  used in the dialog.  Only image with the same aspect ratio will fill the area.  It sounds to me like you want the image the size id the height and width you entered in the dialog.  In which case you need to use Photoshop features the can accomplish that.  If you do not care the the image is distorted you use Image size check resample uncheck constrain as set the height and width you want to resize to.  If you do not want to much distortion you can try content aware resize. That will still distort the image some what but try to maintain some areas perspective it finds object in.  You can also help that process by selecting areas.  If You want no distortion you need to resize the image to fill the area and mask off  the excess to virtually crop the image the the areas aspect ratio. To automate that you need to use some Photoshop scripting. Knowledge is required to get the most out of Programs like Gimp and Photoshop.  The function doesn't exist because of your lack of knowledge.

  • Why do apple need to use my credit number when downloading free apps ?

im about to download a free app - as i have done many times before
and now itunes needs my creditcard info to be correct .. why ? its supposed to be free ?
well i filled the forms with a correct credit card number (my mastercard) and still no result - itunes tells med i should enter a valid payment method
it seems i cant download freee apps when theres not any money on my bank account ? well well ..
can someone tell me why ?

Apple wants you to risk your number out on the internet maybe, they don't care about customers. They state that it is for validation of your account, but this make no sense as you already have entered a username and password, which seems to work fine on any other site. They basically want your wallet to be held hostage, even for updating already installed apps (this should make you think). This is bad in my book, and I think Apple should change this action ASAP. It is not right and they know it, but greed seems to be the game for them I guess.  You should not have to risk your credit card number being transmitted across the internet just to update or install a free app. Android market place does not do things this way.
    Just Sad how this is

  • Why Does FDM need to use a Local Disk?

Quick infrastructure question: In the Oracle install docs, under sample deployment documentation they specify that FDM needs to be run on a Local Disk. Why is that so ?

It requires local windows files on the drive, it should never be installed on a network drive. You can place the FDM application folder directory on a network share, however the software itself must be installed on a local disk.

  • Why would I need to use LiveCycle Data Services in a Flex app?

I cannot figure out what additional functionality is provided by using LiveCycle Data Services in my Flex apps.  I cannot get a clear understanding of how using LiveCycle Data Services would benefit my applications.  Does someone out there use LiveCycle Data Services?  If so, what do you do with it in Flex?
    Thanks!

    - data push for publish/subscribe implementations
User has to do nothing to get updated information. You push it to their machine when new data is available, like Yahoo finance updated quotes.
    - data paging
You don't want to display one million rows in your datagrid at once. Get a batch of data, if the user scrolls down, get the next batch, etc.
    - server side clustering
One server does not get overloaded. High traffic sites have their large number of concurrent connections managed more efficiently.
    - JMS services
JMS is a powerful technology for messaging throughout an application, and LCDS makes it much easier.
    - RTMP tunneling
Allows the use of the RTMP protocol in LiveCycle Data Services applications. Makes it easier to traverse firewalls and proxies appropriately that currently prevent direct RTMP client connections to the server.

  • Why do we need DSO for G/L Data?

    Hello Experts,
In G/L all transactions are associated with a Document number. If there are any reversals it will create new document no.
If I have document no. in the cube why do we need to use DSO for FI-GL extraction?
    Thank you
    Sree

FI-GL Extractors deliver only after image of delta , DSO will generate the before and after image if any changes to the documents .
Thats way we need staging DSO for FI extractors ..

  • TCP Programming / Why do not need to worry about Big and little Endian?

Please help, I do not understand this concept please explain.
The architecture of a CPU is either little-endian or big-endian; some modern CPU's allow a choice via software.
The TCP/IP protocol standard specifies that all the bytes that make up an item must be sent in "network order", which happends to be big-endian. Intel Pentium CPU's are little-endian.
This implies that on an Intel machine the TCP software will have to chop an int into bytes and then reverse the bytes before transmitting them.
Why does the JAVA TCP software does not need to perform the reversal?
    Thanks,
    Alex

But why would I need to use the DataOutputStream,You don't have to.
But that's what the Java API provides for sending java primitives over a stream. You wouldn't have to use that. You could chop the int into bytes yourself, and send the bytes, and your Java code still wouldn't have to worry about the endiannes of it, because the VMs handle that.
DataOutputStream just does the chopping and reassembling for you, so it's easier than doing it yoursefl.

  • Why is my phone suddenly using so many gigs of data

Go to Settings and then to Cellular. There you will see a list of all your apps with the amount of data they have used. Keep in mind the numbers there will not be for the month, but for the phones “current period.” You can see how long this "current period" is by scrolling all the way to the bottom of that page and see when your last period reset was.  For example, if you have an app that says it has used 5.0GB of data, and your date of last reset is March, then sometime in the last 5 months that app has used 5.0GB of data. Now, that could be 1GB a month, or it could be 0.5GB one month and 1.5GB the next month. If you are interested of keeping track of your data on an app by app basis every month I would recommend at the beginning of your billing cycle selecting the "reset statistics" at the bottom of that screen. That way if this happens again you can go to that page and see that app so-and-so used most of the data this month, and maybe be better off in understanding why all your data is gone.  On that same page you have the ability to tell certain apps to never use your cell data. This is done by taping the little ball to the right of the app in this list so that is covers up all the green. You may look through that list and realize that the Notes app used 20MB of data, and ask yourself "Why do I need Notes using my data?" and turn it off.  However, if you do all that and still don’t understand where all the data went that would be the point, personally, when I would try and figure it out with customer service. Let's say for instance you haven’t reset your statistics since March, and your total data usage listed on the phone in the last 5 months is 5GB and your bill says on that same phone says you used 4GB in June and then 3GB in July there may be a serious issue.

I can't understand why all of a sudden, my data usage has skyrocketed over the last month, when I have not used anything different than I used in previous months. Same goes for text messages. Is it possible for someone to hack into my account??
There has to be some kind of answer
