Why Does Apple TV In Taiwan Only Have 100 Movies?
I bought the Apple TV box last weekend and here in Taiwan there are only about 100-125 movies. Willl Taiwan get more movies and if so then when might this be please?

iTunes Store content is specific to each country in reason of copyright. No one here can foresee how the content will improve for any country.
However, I can tell you that in Canada, the content and even local french content is making its way since a few years now.

Why does my account say I only have $5 when I should have approx. $86?

I've only used it for two small purchases, after which I should have approximately $86 remaining; yet, when I view my account, it says I only have $5 and if I try to make a purchase of more than that, I'm told that I don't have sufficient funds. That would be an issue that you need to discuss with the iTunes/MAS support folks. When you sign into your account on the iTunes app on your computer check your purchase history. There is an invoice there for verything that you have purchased. If there is a question about a purchase listed, there is a link to iTunes Support from the invoice.

Why does my 4th Generation, 8GB only have a 6.43GB capacity?
That hardly makes any sense to me.That's 1.5GB I don't have on my 8GB product! That's a lot of space that's missing. I took a screen shot so you can see it really does say 6.43GB.
That makes perfect sense. I'm new to the Apple World and it's actually my son's ipod. He bought it with his bday money. After asking around, I figured 8GB would be enough by majority of the feedback I got from friends. He also has an old nano that holds a lot more for obvious reasons. Had I researched it, I probably would've let him get a 32GB. TV Shows and Movies take up all the space. I guess we'll just be rotating media a lot. At least we learned a lesson and he'll have something to upgrade to in a few years.

Have you tried to get your account re-enabled ?
If not them you might be able to re-enable it via this page : http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password'
You might then need to log out of your account on your iPod by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then log back in so as to 'refresh' the account on it

Half the time it errors when I try to login (not matter what computer I'm on, and I've tried probably 6-7), it errors out. It locks up if I try to send Apple the error. Searches fail on my iphone too, every single one of them. I can't be the only one having this issue. I use IE 9. It shoudln't be this hard to check or search email.
Use Safari instead.

Why does Apple TV in the uk have absolutely rubbish channels
We get Japanese channels but am English so useless, American sports that I'm not really into, business channels which in my opinion are pointless why can't we get disney, abc etc etc or even e4, film 4 uk stuff why are we penalised for living in the uk surely its a little unfair that the USA get so much more

I open Address Book, go into Preferences, select Template and under the Names field (friend, assistant, father, etc) I add a custom field called "Principal".
I also add two more custom fields in the Email area.
Quit Address Book then relaunch. Add a new contact and the new custom fields, Principal, etc. are there. All good so far.
I have a Now Contact file with about 200 contacts in it. I export all fields as a Text file, Tab delimited. No problems there. With Address Book launched, select Import, pick the text file, leave Text Encoding on Automatic and click Open.
The window that shows the fields for Address Book and fields for the text file side by side opens. This is where you match up the correct fields for importing. If I go to one of the fields from the text file that I created a custom field for, click under the Address Book heading on the Do not import, scroll thru the Apple choices of fields, none of the custom fields show up. Only the original Apple ones are there. Why does Apple let you create them in the Template area but not have them available for importing? Hover the mouse pointer over the name, and press Command-Option and the path to the file will be displayed.
As for opening a terminal session in the directory where a file is located, there is Applescripts that do just that as well as specific features in Lion/Mountain Lion terminal:

I have been a help-desk professional for over 15 years now, and emotions are part of the business.
I know it has been over 6 months since gloriastitz posted her reply. I hope she got a useful answer, but I fear we have satisfactorily scared her away from seeking help.
So, the first best response to tell someone is that the problem they are experience is almost certainly fixable, but may require more information to solve. You tell them you understand their frustration (even if you personally don't experience frustration or don't understand why people my express frustration publicly about a problem that frustrates them). It's just good protocol.
Then you work with the person to break down the problem into steps. If you don't have a ready answer and don't think you might even know the answer with sufficient data, then back out and leave it to others to tackle.
I've been having a similar problem with my Mail program. The cause is still unclear to me after vieweing the logs and changing settings where I know them to be. There appears to be a setting that is not clearly placed in any of the typical UI locations for initiating the desired action for either a feed: or mailto: call.

Why does apple only support mp4 videos?
It's not really a problem, i usually use my friends computers to convert my videos since mine is so slow.
But why does apple only support MP4 and MOV formats? Why not MPEG or DivX?
I know they cannot use WMV because it is a Microsoft format.
It's just sometimes when i convert videos, the audio becomes out of sync or iTunes complains it's not playable on my iPod.

Thanks for your time.If Apple chooses to go with H.264 or MP4 or whatever else they want to support, maybe it would be real nice if iTunes could automatically convert to those formats. So if I dropped my universally standard (and supported by most DVD players) DivX video clip in the library, iTunes would convert and format the video to an iPod friendly format.
So, let me see if I understand this correctly. You want Apple to pirate proprietary codecs from DivX and build them into iTunes QT access. Tell me, does this mean that Apple is working as your agent and you will be the one spending time behind bars or paying the fines. Or, are you saying that Apple should act as an agent for DivX and charge you for a version of iTunes with legal codecs installed. How about Windows Media? Want to double the cost? What about Real? Or maybe Apple should have different versions of iTunes -- one for you and one for the guy who lives next door who uses old Indeo files?
I have tried several 3rd party converters and they all suck.
Perhaps you should be more selective in choosing a converter or invest in a commercial product which is supported by the people selling it. -
Why does Apple not give a list of error messages and possible solutions? I have the (-54) error continually that has suddenly appeared and cannot find a solution, even though other users seem to have the same problem.

Why does Apple kick their old subscribers under the bus? I have an iMac G5 1.9 and 2.1 computer using Leopard 10.5.8 system, and I cannot renew my MobileMe account, why? MobileMe is being terminated in two weeks. If you have files on your iDisk which are not also on your computer you need to be downloading them as soon as possible or you will lose them.

If you have an original iPad 1, the latest version of iOS it can run is iOS 5. So you should be able to update no problem.
Update iTunes to the latest version (11.0.2). Then simply plug your iPad into the computer and open iTunes. Click the iPad either in the sidebar or the top navigation bar. Then attempt to update the software. If it doesn't work, please post the exact error message.
Note that it would be wise to first ensure you back up the iPad.
