Why does firefox not display Create Sign on Icon for Yahoo email?

I use Yahoo Email, and I want to create a Sign In Seal but it does not show up in Firefox. Is there some way I can get this to show?

I am now using the reset profile. Using this profile Firefox does NOT correctly display symbols and diacritic marks in my html pages. Such pages were correctly displayed in my old profile. They are pages containing text in French and Spanish.

Why does firefox not display photos with Hot spot slices in them

I took a photo and brought it into Fireworks and created a graphic map with hot spots to certain countries. While this looks great on Internet Explorer its not showing properly in firefox at all. http://www.aist.org/chapters/chaptermap.htm

That website is an MS Office document that has VML content for the images. 
You can see that as green comment code in the page source (View > Page Source) 
Only IE can display such a document properly.
You need to save that page as W3C compliant HTML code and make sure that you disable VML to make it work in all browsers.
Looks that something is wrong with the image count for images used when VML is not enabled.

Why does lightroom not display photos ?

Hello,
all of a sudden lightroom tells me "no photo selected " when I try to open a folder.All the folders are visible but the photos cannot be displayed.I am using lightroom 4.1
The last editing was done less then 12 hours ago without any problems.
Your help would be much appreciated.

Thank you so much for your reply.I solved the problem after fretting over it for some time. A filter was not turned off and once I turned it off all was well. Live and learn.

It is something that should be in the options tab , and I want to know why it isn't. I am totally frustrated with firefox and getting ready to switch.

You can use the SearchReset extension to reset some preferences to the default values.

Note that the SearchReset extension only runs once and then uninstalls automatically, so it won't show on the "Firefox > Add-ons" page (about:addons).

Why does Firefox not work here in China anymore, since January of 2015?

I have used Firefox for years, as the fastest and most reliable browser for me, esp in China... not anymore! Last month (unknown to me) a hijacker called Vosteran took over my Firefox browser. I finally realized it and got it cleaned up using Malwarebytes anti-malware, and downloaded a new Firefox... now SAME problem exists, even with Vosteran removed!
Firefox will not allow me into ANY normal sites, saying they don't have the proper security code. This includes my Yahoo front page, email account, ESPN and other common sites that are certainly NOT dangerous. So, WHY does Firefox not work anymore? It is useless to me here in China the way it works now.

hello rickinchina, first please make sure that the '''date, time & timezone''' are set correctly on your system and that firefox is set to directly connect to the internet (that's the "'''no proxy'''" setting in the firefox ''menu ≡ > options > advanced > network > connection - settings...'').
if this doesn't solve the issue (or it is already set properly), a possible solution depends on different factors:
* what is the '''error code''' shown under ''technical details'' on the error page?
in case the error code equals ''sec_error_unknown_issuer'', please attempt to add an exception on the bottom of the error page (but don't do it for real) and inspect the certificate (see the screenshot attached for instructions):

The footer is being displayed for me on Firefox 5.0 and 3.6.18 - to the right side of the rest of the page content.

Why does Modelsim not display some signals?

I use Xilinx ISE to run a small VHDL file. From Xilinx ISE goes to Modelsim in behaviour simulation (use the default do {hcic_tb.fdo} command), I find that thw waveform window does not display the following two signals:
SIGNAL filter_out_addr : std_logic; -- boolean
SIGNAL filter_out_done : std_logic; -- boolean
while SIGNAL filter_out_rdenb : std_logic; -- boolean
shows in the waveform window. What is the reason for display or not?

Why does Firefox not allow me to go to Facebook, consistently says "untrusted connection"??

I have read through all of the responses to this exact questions posed by other users and nothing is working. What is the most frustrating is that this is not a constant issue. One minute I will be logged onto Facebook and when I try to visit a friends page or post something it will freeze, then the "untrusted connection" comes up. Or it will be working fine for a couple hours and I will log off of Facebook, when I come back a few hours later, or even a few minutes later I get the "untrusted connection" warning again. This has happened more now that Firefox has been updated and it is also happening to my roommate. She will be logged onto Facebook and I will try and get the warning, or vice versa. We are in the same room on separate computers. This problem does not occur on Google Chrome or Internet Explorer. This is an issue with Firefox, not my computers. We have four computers (2 Desktops, 2 Laptops) in our home, my boyfriend works in IT. We have done everything suggested by the people here and nothing works. I would understand if it was happening to one computer constantly and you tried to tell me it was my computer, but that is not the case. This happens with all four computers at different times. How can one person be logged on to Facebook and another isn't, then an hour later it will work on the latter computer and not the one it was working on previously. This is very frustrating. I love using Firefox over Internet Explorer and Google Chrome, I trust it more. But this is getting ridiculous. It has been happening for a long time, it just got worse with the update. Please help. It happens with Google and other popular sites as well.

Glossary: why does it not display?

For RoboHelp HTML 10 output, I have set the single source layout to use my custom glossary. However, it does not display in the .chm file. Is there some sort of plug-in required on my computer to display glossaries?

Firefox will not let me sign out of my Yahoo email account. What could be causing this?

For several weeks, I have not been able to sign out of my Yahoo account. I checked for updates and I'm up to date. I'm using Windows XP.

Why does Firefox not support flash in Vista any more?

I have a laptop with Vista on it and all year long I have had a hell of a time putting up with the new glitches in Firefox.
I simply want the damn thing to be able to use the flash plugin. Every single ******* time Firefox updates, I lose the ability to view flash content. Clicking on the "install missing plugins" logo takes me through *seemingly* successful installs, but it doesn't really install and the next time I load firefox it still says "click here to install missing plugin."
I have also downloaded the executable from adobe and run that (as an administrator, with firefox closed out) and I still get a *successful* installation that results in total failure, e.g. it's still not installed.
Several firefoxes ago I found a website where I could download the two files needed (the dll and the other file) and I manually placed them in the plugins folder which allowed me to use flash until the damn update to the next firefox release wiped it out. The place I downloaded those files from no longer hosts them, so I'm SOL.
Please either start to support Vista again, or declare that you aren't going to. I'm sick and tired of firefox nowadays, even though I've been using it since before version 1.1.
Please, please, please just fix this problem.

Why does firefox not open the address in the browser window via dvd@ccess?

I am building a dvd with dvd studio 4 latest version on a brand new MB Pro / Snow Leapard. dvd@ccess is enabled in dvd studio pro 4 as well as on my computer. The function opens a browser window, but firefox does NOT automatically type in the required address. Therefore the browser does not look it up. This is not likely related to dvd studio pro, since dvd@ccess links to mailto: with no problem, and entourage correctly opens a new mail with the proper address. Please help. Fast – I am supposed to deliver a project! Thanks ;-)

Ok, well I found it quickly without really finding the source of the problem. I created my account here in order to post this problem, and when I received the account confirmation email to activate my account, clicking the hotlink opened a browser window WITHOUT the address! So I restarted firefox and lo and behold, I could confirm my account via the hotlink and dvd@ccess now works, even in the dvd studio pro simulator. Why this bug appeared remains to be answered. When I load Firefox my Yahoo toolbar with all my links that I use does not load! I've been dealing with this for a long time! And as much as I hate Internet Explorer, you are forcing me to go back to it after 3 years with Firefox! Why dose your program have to be so uncooperative. If I can't access my program with ease, what good are you? I don't have this problem with IE. I have been using Firefox because it's so much faster than IE. But If I have to waste all this time trying to re-install Yahoo toolbar or type in Internet addresses, You really are no better, even worse!

Why does Preview not display some PDF content which is visible in Adobe Acrobat?

I have occasionally received PDFs from multiple different sources for which some content (words, checkmarks, etc) simply does not appear in Preview. The full content does appear when view with Adobe Reader. Unfortunately, when viewing in Preview, there is no indication that anything is missing.
What is going on here? Is there some solution? I prefer Preview because it is fast ans versitile, but if it doesn't actually display the whole thing...

The answer is that some pdf options are not available in Preview. Adobe has a number of annotation and graphics and even file linking options which do not carry through to Preview. In other words, Preview is not 100% compatible with Adobe Acrobat, Preview is less capable, although it can generally handle probably 99% of what people do in pdf format. But there is a small collection of things that do not come through properly with Preview.
One obvious example is forms. While this may not be the situation you are asking about, note that Adobe Acrobat can create forms that one can fill out with Acrobat Reader. These forms have cells and one can go through them and enter text or information into those cells with Adobe's software. Sometimes the forms even include boxes to be checked or highlighted and so forth, all possible with a click using Adobe's own software. However Preview often is unable to enter the data on those forms. Again, the reason is that for certain somewhat advanced options, Preview does not have every capability that Adobe Acrobat (or Acrobat reader) has.
For simple stuff, however, Preview generally works well.
