Why does iCloud still show an old email address?
When I log in to my apple ID and iCloud, the screen shows an old email address. I have changed the email address long ago under "mange Apple ID". Suggestions welcome.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your computer, you need to sign out of the account from your computer first, then sign back in using your updated details. (System Preferences > iCloud, click the sign out button)
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iTunes account on your iOS device, you need to sign out from your iOS device first, then sign back in using your updated details. (Settings > iTunes & App store, scroll down and tap your ID)
If you are using iMessages or FaceTime, you will also need to log out and into your ID there too. -
I changed my Apple ID email address yesterday and now my IPhone 4 and my IPod 5 will not allow me to upload any apps. When it asks for my Apple Password it still shows my old email address. How do I change the IPhone and IPod to recognize the new email address????

my iCloud account shows an old email address i no longer use even though I've updated my apple id with my new email information. It keeps asking me my old password to the old email address which is NOT a valid email any longer. I'm unable to manage my iCloud until this is resolved. HELP
If your Apple ID is the one that you use for making all of your purchases, it should, automatically appear in FaceTime already. How a no longer valid email address got there to begin with is a mystery to me, if in fact you do have, and have been using another Apple ID.
Go to Settings>FaceTime>Apple ID. Tap the old email address and sign out, sign in with your Apple ID. It should be verified and allow you to select it as the address that you can be reached by for FaceTime.
If that does not work, time FaceTime off, restart your iPad and then start all over again. -
I recently chenged my email address on Itunes. When I plugged in my Ipod 4th generation Itouch, it still shows my old email address.
It syncs everytime, but the old email address is keeping me from making other purchases. I changed my AppleID, but iCloud still has the old email address on my phone. How do I change that? It keeps asking me to input my password, but obviously that won't work because the ID is wrong not the password.
Then change your Apple ID back to the old ID, then delete the account. Once done, change your ID to your new one.

You've updated your iTunes account to have your new email address on it - you might need to log out of your account by tapping on it at the bottom of the Featured tab in the App Store app and then log back in with the updated version of your account so as to 'refresh' the account on it.

Hello, I have changed my email address on my itunes account, but I don't know how to change on my itouch. I'm trying to download applications, but the old email address still comes up and I can't dowload anything. Any help would be appreciated.

My email provider has changed and I have a new one.
I amended this on my computer under my Apple iTunes account without any difficulty and it was authenticated. However, I still have the original email appearing on my iphone 4s and ipad2 and I cannot update that information. Neither can I use my usual password to update my Apps. Please can anyone assist me with simple instructions on how to change these important passwords? I changed email addresses but iCloud sill has my previous address registered. It also is not recognising either my original password or my new password. How can I get my new email address into the iCloud system, and also lodge a new password with them?

If you mean that Find My Phone is asking for a password to a different Apple ID to your current Apple ID and that ID is a previous version of your current ID, not an entirely different one.
This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7, or if you restore from a previous back up made before you changed your details and some other circumstances.
The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID using your current password, you don’t need access to this address if it’s previously been used with your Apple ID, once you have saved these details enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone" and delete the account from your device. It may take a short while to remove the account.
You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, save it once again and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.
