Why does my 5 month old iPad not hold a charge anymore

I have had this iPad for 5 months and it now only work if it is plugged to the charger in the wall socket. When I plug it to the computer to sync the computer cannot download the driver or power it on. I changed the charge card to see if it had a short or something, but iPad does the same thing with new charge card. It will not come on at all if it is not plugged. And when it is plugged to the charger in the wall socket it will recharge and then come on. What is the problem? How do I fix it?

take it into your local apple store and have them look at it. the 30 pin port on the iPad can go bad.

My iPad mini is just over a month old. I charged it this evening and it became very warm and will not turn on. I tried to reset it to no avail. I am pretty ticked off about it.

I Bought a new battery less than a year a go since the original wasn't holding a charge. The new one is doing the same thing. Now what do I do?

Did you buy a battery directly from Apple or a cheap third party knock off? Experience has taught me that you get what you pay for. Buy a better battery and follow the tips here for maximizing it's life.

Why does a 12 month 'Unlimited' Subscription Not W...

Yesterday I purchased an 'Unlimited' 12 month subscription to (apparently) be able to call 'ALL' landline numbers in Australia. However, 'EVERY' time I try to call a number in Adelaide, South Australia, a major Australian metropolitan area(!!), Skype does 'NOT' connect, but, instead, keeps responding with:
Call Ended, not enough Skype Credit to call this number
I have tried every variation of country code + area number + phone number, and the response is either the above, or that it is an invalid number!! I have read 'every' FAQ and support submission, and nothing clearly explains why this is happening; or how to fix it!!
If this is not sorted out 'real' quick, I will be looking for a refund!! VERY disappointed with Skype!!!

I too received this message on my iphone once yesterday. As a result, I was charged the standard rate of calling to China, instead of it being free (included in the worldwide plan). I sent an email to customer support and am waiting for a response. Funny thing is, all calls placed to the same number before and after that call was not charged.

Why does the navigational toc in iPad not show the "Cover" and "Contents" entries?

I recently noticed that the navigational toc in my epub on iPad does not show the "Cover" or "Contents" entries although they do show up okay in ADE. I tried naming the Cover in the <text> portion of the .ncx as "Cover image" and Contents as "Where are things" and these 2 entries showed up in iPad and linked to the proper items. Does iPad choose certain wording to omit these entries?

There is one by defualt and there is the one you imported. To better understand how you imported the bookmarks, can you please provide the steps you took to do this?

My Macbook Air purchased June 2012 cannot run without be connected to power.
Disconnecting from power results in a shutdown.
Without power, I cannot start up the Macbook Air.
The Battery shows 100% charge.
Have tried resetting the NVRAM - problem still occurs.

Plug your iPad into your computer, open iTunes, and click Restore. This will reset your iPad to factory settings, so make sure everything important is stored safely. Once the restore is complete, do NOT restore from your backup.
If you still have problems, take the iPad to the Apple Store or another AASP (Apple Authorised Service Provider). If you're still within warranty, any service will be of no cost. Check your serial number here or find your receipt.

Why is my 8 month old Ipod Nano not charging/synching?

My Ipod Nano is no longer charging with the USB cable in either my laptop or my apple charger. It started to sporadically charge/synch and is now not doing it at all. Everything else works with USB drive on the laptop and I have no problems charging my Ipad on the apple charger so the issue must be with the Ipod itself. I use my ipod every day for running. Is there anything I can do or am I going to have to trash an 8 month old Ipad? I've tried resetting the Ipad and that makes no difference.

Check the dock connector on the Nano and clean any dirt/debris/dust bunnies you might find. Clean it with a soft brush. While you are doing this get a magnifying glass and look at the pins. If you see rust/corrosion then sweat has damaged the connector.

2 month old ipad suddenly not charging

Specifically, you might try the following:
iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive
If you see the image below, charge the phone with an iPhone USB power adapter for at least 15 minutes.
You should see this image when iPhone begins to charge:
If the screen still displays the low-battery icon, try turning iPhone off and then on again.
If the issue persists, try resetting the iPhone while connected to the iPhone charger.

Because you that's not a supported bluetooth profile on the iPhone... In order to sync contacts with a handsfree system, the system needs to support the PBAP bluetooth profile. If it does, then the contacts will sync automatically.

I doubt that anyone here, with the limited knowledge of how you actually use your device, could ever do more than hazard a guess. Your power adapter is bad and not charging properly .... It is possible that the battery indicator is giving you an incorrect reading and that the iPad has more battery power left than it shows on the meter, but if it shuts down on its own after less than say - 6 hours - on a full charge - then something is wrong.

You could try a hard reset and see if that helps at all.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

I know from experience that this must be a frustrating situation for you especially if you don't want to loose the music/video content that is currently on your ipod. Unfortunately though you may have to consider re-syncing it as it thinks its currently synced with another computer.
If you bought any music that is on the ipod through itunes you can opt to right click the ipod in itunes and 'transfer purchases' if you authorise your library in the 'Store' menu in itunes. Some reasons for this happening may include some of the following:
Deleting and reinstalling your itunes on the computer.
Removing the account you had on the computer you used itunes in and making a new one. (User account, eg: Lisa).
Changing computers in the past.
A friend or family member syncing it on their computer to give you there music.
A sign of a failing iPod.
Alternatively you can opt to not sync it and keep the music that is on your ipod there but this means you will never be able to update your ipod.
