Why does my ical not keep events in my upcoming days?

Why does ical not keep events that i have added? the events show up on my other devices and on the me website but will not sync to my computer. does ical have a finite amount of events and if so what is the number.

Why does the 'iCal helper' keep appearing in my dock?

After upgrading to 10.5.6 today the iCal helper application keeps launching and staying in my dock. It's not marked as a log-in item, and doesn't necessarily launch when i log-in. It just launches randomly every hour or so.
I've read that it is the program that allows iCal to display alerts when it's not running, but it never used to be visible in the dock, it doesn't even have a real application icon.
Does someone know how to prevent it from showing up in the dock??

Why does my calendar not sync events created on my iphone

When I create an event on my iPhone 4 and then sync it to my MacBook, the event is not showing up in iCal. I have "Sync all Calendars" checked in iTunes under info when my phone is connected. This problem just started after I installed Snow Leopard.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
    1.    First check that all your settings are correct, that calendar syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
    2.    Make sure the calendars you are using are in your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud account (you can do this by clicking/tapping the calendar button in the top left corner of the application ), non iCloud calendars will not sync.
    3.    If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your calendars are in the iCloud account, you might try unchecking calendar syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling calendar syncing settings.

Web sites usually remember you by using a cookie, either a traditional browser cookie or a Flash cookie. If you have set Firefox up to clear your history when you shut down, you may be deleting the site's cookie(s), thus making you anonymous upon your return.
The subject of cookies can trigger strong feelings, so you have a lot of options for how to handle cookies, including built-in choices, add-ons, etc. Rather than write out a very complicated set of options, could you I refer you to an article here:

Why does PP CS5 not keep my preview files on my Mac?

I love Premiere Pro on my Mac because it interfaces so well with AE. However, every time I render something in my DSLR timeline, shutdown Premiere, then open it later, I have to re-render again.
I am not a novice and I know what I am doing, but I've tried everything and it won't keep my render files.
I want to switch away from Final Cut because I can edit DSLR natively in Premiere, but Final Cut seems to work better.
I am using dual 2.93 ghz quad core Xeon processors, 16gb ram. Internal 4tb raid, 3 external 4tb GRaid firewire drives for video storage. These 3 drives are always attached to my system and are always on when editing. The render files are always there and not on another portable drive somewhere.
I can render my timeline in PPro, then close the program. Open the program back up in a minute and have to re-render.
Any ideas?

Intermittent problems are often a result of interference. Interference can be caused by other networks in the neighbourhood or from household electrical items.
You can download and install iStumbler (NetStumbler for windows users) to help you see which channels are used by neighbouring networks so that you can avoid them, but iStumbler will not see household items.
Refer to your router manual for instructions on changing your wifi channel.

Why does PDF export not keep the layout as the indd file?

I have a 132-page book ready to upload for printing. It says in the pages panel 132 pages in 67 spreads. There are no sections, chapters or automatic page numbers. When I create a pdf, the (intentional) blank page that is supposed to be page 2 (on the left side of the first spread) moves itself to the position of page 1 (supposed to print on the right as very first printed page). This, in turn, puts page 1 on the left and pulls the rest of the pages in the book off, ruining the spreads. Any ideas as to why this is happening? Thanks!

High-Quality Print is for outputting to office printers. There are a number of Press-ready settings - ask your printer which one to use.
In the meantime: Open your mis-flowed document in Acrobat and under Page Display, see if Show Cover Page in Two Page View is checked. If not, check it and see if that fixes the problem.

iCloud storage has nothing to do with remaining memory on the phone - only memory for backups and Photostream. The photo has to first be stored on the phone and copies sent to iCloud. If there is not enough available memory on the phone, the photo can't be taken.
To determine the remaining memory on the phone:
Settings > General > Usage > Storage
The Camera Roll is meant for temporary storage of photos, which should be imported to an app on your computer and deleted from Camera Roll. You can then sync back those photos which you want to keep on the phone.

All batteries recover a bit when they sit for a little while. Also most iPod battery apps register only in 5% increments, because it is hard to really be accurate to the single percent. Just because yours shows in 1% increments does not mean it is actually accurate to that level.

Your iPhone doesn't require as much power to charge as your iPad needs so there is a possibility that the charge could have a problem even though you were able to charge the phone. If you can try a different power adapter and still have no luck, then the only thing left - IMO - is to contact Apple support and see what they advise.

I'm not trying to be a nitpicker - but what you described is a hard reset and your post gave no indication that you tried a software restore - which I referenced in my post. That's why I suggested the restore.
Many times restoring the iPad to factory settings can help "revive" the device. If you have tried restoring according to the two support articles that I directed you to and still have no success, you are probably out of luck getting any further help on this site. That's all that you can try at this point at least AFAIK.

Both you and the recipient have to have active data connections, and both devices have to have iOS 5 or higher to be able to use iMessage. Also, they both have to have iMessage activated. If that is already the case, there is a possiblility that iMessage is down. It has gone up and down several times in the past week. I have a 1st gen Airport Express and use it to stream music from my PC, iPhone 4, iPad and iPod Touch. My Airport Express is connected to a Teac UD-H01 DAC via an optical cable which is connected to an amp and speakers. I had no problems at all with this set up until I upgraded the Airport Express firmware to 7.6.3. The sound then started to drop out frequently. To cut a long story short after various testing, the problem had to be the Airport Express. I called Apple support but they were not much help and couldn't fix the problem and said they would speak to engineering and phone back. While I was waiting I decided to have another go to find the problem and opened the airport utility and saw that there was an option to downgrade the firmware. At this point I realised that the problems started about the same time that I upgraded the firmware to 7.6.3 but didn't think at the time that Apple would release a firmware that didn't work. Anyway I downgraded to 7.6.1 and hey presto, everything worked again. A couple of days ago I noticed that firmware 7.6.4 was available and thought I'd give it a go, not good - same problem as 7.6.3. I've downgraded to 7.6.1 again and all is well. Hope this helps.
