Why does my iPhone say that certain songs are not on my iPhone when they clearly are?
Using the new "Purchased" button on the bottom of the iTunes app on my iPhone, when I tap "Not On This iPhone", it lists songs that are definitely on my iPhone. Is there a way to fix this?
Furthermore, there are 47 pending downloads that I want to clear from the Downloads list. Is there any way to clear them or am I going to have to download them all and delete them?
The "streaming" that iTunes Match does is not the traditional streaming we are used to. iOS 6 actually downloads the song to non-permanent memory on the iOS device in a cache. The advantage of this is it then makes the tracks available for listening to again without having to stream it again. You can clear out the cache by either power cycling the device or disabling/enabling iTM. I prefer doing the former.

I made the mistake of resetting my iPod to factory defaults. Now it will only partially sync to my music library. I continually get an error message saying that certain songs are not authorized for my computer, although they are in the iTunes library on the computer and will play. It's these songs that won't transfer to the iPod. I have deauthorized and re-authorized the computer but no joy. Any ideas?

I was thinking that some of the songs in your library may have been purchased under a different apple id. You have already done the first thing I would have done by de authorizing and re authorizing. To verify this, highlight one of the songs that will not sync over and use File>Get Info. In the Summary section there will be an Apple ID entry. If it shows something different than what you are currently using then I recommend signing into the Apple ID it shows and authorizing the computer for that one as well.

iTunes does not sync with my iPhone; saying that the comp has not been authorized to. It suggests that i authorized it by going to Store > Authorize This Computer. I did exactly that, and it still refuses to sync.
I'm not able to sync my music, videos, photos, etc as a result.
This occurred after i had synced my iPhone to another comp in another location recently.

Do not worry about the backups. They will be deleted automatically after a week, or if your HD gets too full. See #30 in Time Machine - Frequently Asked Questions.
The "other" stuff is just that -- all sorts of things that don't fall into the few categories listed. The operating system, system work files, plus lots of your stuff like documents, mail, etc. See Lion's Storage Display -

Drivers are iOS specific....meaning if your old one had iOS 7.0.6 and your new one 7.1 then it needs different drivers.
Is your iTunes up do date? if not, then updating it may help.
You can also try using a different usb cord and port to see if that triggers the driver download.
or, if that doesn't work, try going into your control panel, add/remove programs. Look for 'apple mobile device service' and uninstall that. THen plug your iPad in and it should reinstall.
If that doesn't work, go back into the control panel but uninstall iTunes, and apple mobile device service and apple application support, then redownload and reinstall iTunes and see if that gets your drivers fixed.
Another way to do that is go right click on 'my computer' 'properties' and go to 'device manager'
plug your iPad in and do you see it show up in the list? YOu may need to click some of those little plus signs to open up the lists. If you see your iPad, right click on the name and you should see an option to update the driver. -

My iPhone says that my charger is not supported, but it's the charger that came with my phone. Is there any way I can solve this issue?
Try cleaning out the phone's port, of pocket fluff and such. Carefully. And check the mains adapter similarly, but less likely.

Have you tried resetting your phone and/or your iPad? Hold down the Home and power keys until the silver apple appears. Might help. Can't hurt.

Why does status bar say that all items are not loaded?
When I have the status bar displayed at the bottom of my page, and I load a page, it usually says 4 of 5 item complete, or 6 of 7, or even one time, 92 of 93. What does this mean exactly? And why does it never say all items are completed? Is anything wrong with the browser, or is this just code for something?

JeffThese days web pages have many little extras, not just images, that have to be downloaded when we click on a link to a page. Sometimes, for a variety of reasons (file availability, internet problems, browser, bad coding, local cache, ISP problem) not everything downloads.
As long as the page seems to have all the information and nothing is apparently missing, I tend to ignore this.
When all items are completed, the status bar shows nothing. -
Over 100 of my songs in my itunes library have an exclamation point next to them. When I attempt to sync them with my phone it says that the song cannot be synced because it cannot locate the original song? Do I want to locate it? Can anyone help me figure out where my music is on my computer and where to locate it and how to send it back to itunes?

The software for your phone and iTunes are two different sets of code. They work together to be sure but if your iPhone is up-to-date at 4.2.1 then it is a 3G model and cannot be updated to iOS5, because it is not supported for iCloud. Your iTunes on the other hand can certainly be version 10.5 on Snow Leopard, but that will still not get you iOS5 for your IPhone. It is sometimes difficult to keep all the numeric designations straight especially when so many of the numerals mirror one another. Your computer uses OSX 10.6.8 = Snow Leopard; you say that your iTunes version is 10.5; your iPhone uses iOS4.2.1.

Why does this happen? I'm not trying to connect to any server, how do I disconnect? I used to use the Macbook for my iWeb site, but I haven't done that for years.I'm having the same problem. I'm running 10.7.2. My main NAS just failed and I'm using a new one. The old NAS was called "DATASERVER". The new NAS is called "NEWSERVER".
Many, but not all of my original files were located on and imported from DATASERVER which is no longer in use. I can see all of my photos but when I try to open them/edit them it's clear that I just have thumbnails. I get the error message "There was a problem connecting to a server "DATASERVER". The server may not exist or it is unavailable at this time. Check the server name or IP address, check your network connection, and then try again."
Other information:
* I'm using iPhoto 9.2.1
* Currently in Preferences I have the "copy items to the iPhoto library" CHECKED.
* I can access the directories, files, etc. on NEWSERVER via Finder.
* I have gone into keychain and deleted any references to DATASERVER
* I have turned off Time Machine.
* At one point it was asking me to find the original file and a finder window would pop up. I could then point to the original file only to get the "There wasa a problem connecting to a server "DATASERVER" again.
I do not know if I'm using a Managed Library or a Referenced Library since I set this up long ago. I seem to recall at one point I tried to manage the library myself but then changed.
Any help that you can provide would be very much appreciated. I've scoured this site and others but cannot find a solution that works.
