Why does my mini keep losing signal

I have a G4 mac mini and have it connected to my TV, however it keeps losing signal does anybody why?

can you try to fix the problem into a corner maybe, by checking if you can connect to another TV or Monitor, or by exchanging the cable?

  • Why does my mouse keep losing connection every minute

why does my mouse keep losing connection every minute, its not the batteries

I'm having the same issue.  Every so often it loses connection then re establishes. This goes on repeatedly.
If you change batteries while the computer is still active then it takes for ever to re connect.
Can't wait until someone replies to your question.

  • Why does my iphone4 keep losing some of my newly entered contacts?

Why does my iphone4 keep losing some of my newly entered contacts?

When an app is downloaded to your phone what is downloading is an installer. Once the installer downloads in installs the app and then is deleted. You can see a reference to this if you watch the App's icon in the App Store after you tap on download. It will first say downloading then that will change to installing. The amount of free space on your phone must be enough to accommodate the installer and the app plus have some left over for system work. You're just too close to the minimum for everything to work.

  • Why does my trackpad keep losing connection

why does my trackpad keep losing connection

I am using Mountain Lion on a 2011 Macbook Pro and this is happening to me.
The notebook never used to drop the connection on Snow Leopard or Lion as far as I can remember.  At first it was fine on Mountain Lion as well I think, but after the last couple updates the connection to the trackpad is gone when it wakes from sleep.  Dropping down to Bluetooth and choosing connect does not help.  It must be deleted and repaired each time under sytem preferences and bluetooth settings.  Batteries are fine, Apple rechargables, lights up green when tap button.  I also have an Apple keyboard used for this notebook and that never loses connection.  Just the trackpad, and only after the most recent updates the past month or so.  It pairs fine at first, then the connection is gone and I can't get it back without very inconvenient deleting and repairing.
I seem to remember it happening shortly after a long update.  I am currently on 10.8.2.

  • Why does my ipad keep losing connection and kicking me out of apps?

Why does my ipad keep dropping apps while I am using them like facebook and facetime. It just disconnects and goes to the home screen. Very frustrating!

I have a MacBookPro...my wife has iPad2...and I do nothing with her iPad...
let me ask a dumb question reading here.  She plays a lot of Scrabble or word games...goes on Facebook, and has been complaining to me about the games crashing, bringing her sometimes back to the home page.
We followed one piece of advice given here...to hold the start and home buttons simultaneously and reboot.  This may work...we'll see.
But...on the advice concerning the apps.  When she holds down an App...they vibrate or shake, which I guess is a way to move an app about...drag it.  Saw no minus sign.  I guess we assumed the app was "closed" sitting dormant on the home screen...and so I know or understand (she not so computer literate), an app sitting on the homescreen is not necessarily closed?  Hitting home and bringing the desktop back up, is not necessarily closing out of the app?
    thanks...

  • Why does my ipod keep losing its network connection?

My ipod keeps losing its network connection every few minutes. Ive tried resetting the network settings, resetting the router and neither worked.  Apart from my SpeedTouch router being knackered any other suggestions please?

Any chance there is interference in the area?
Do other devices and computers work? and are they wired or not?

  • Why does my mouse keep losing connectivity

My magic Mouse (came with the system) keeps losing connectivity.  It seems that whenever the mouse has a period of inactivity such as when I am using the key board, it loses connectivity and I have to double tap it (two fingers) to get it to reconnect.  Battery is >80%.  Is this normal or is there a setting that can insure it stays connected?  I appreciate any advice even if it is I have to put up with this annoyance.  Thanks.

Thanks for the response.  My WFi is a Linksys E2000.  Because of the number of messages in the Console I will have to wait until the next time I lose connectivity and then check for messages in Console to see if there are any clues to what is going on.

  • Why do i  suddenly keep losing signal strength?

All of a sudden, my signal strength for Airport Extreme keeps falling and disappearing. This hasn't happened before and all connections are fine, the modem and router haven't been moved and my laptop is where it has always been.
Does anyone know why this is happening and what i can do to increase signal strength?
    Thank you
    Chandni

Find out what channel the neighbour's network is on using the Airport Traffic Control Widget and ensure your channel is at least three channels away.
If it is a phone then try your network on channels 1 or 11.

  • Why does Apple TV keep losing connection to home library?

My Apple TV keeps stopping every 4-5 minutes when playing my iTunes library from my shared home computer.  I have to keep refreshing iTunes from my computer to have Apple TV find my library again.  Can anyone tell me why this is happening?  I've checked firewall settings and the computer is not on standby...

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Intermittent problems are often a result of interference. Interference can be caused by other networks in the neighbourhood or from household electrical items.
You can download and install iStumbler (NetStumbler for windows users) to help you see which channels are used by neighbouring networks so that you can avoid them, but iStumbler will not see household items.
Refer to your router manual for instructions on changing your wifi channel or adjusting your multicast rate.
There are other types of problems that can affect networks, but this is by far the most common, hence worth mentioning first. Networks that have inherent issues can be seen to work differently with different versions of the same software. You might also try moving the Apple TV away from other electrical equipment.

  • Why does my iPad keep losing the Internet?

I keep having to reboot my iPad as it keeps on dropping its connection to my wireless network. Other devices, iPhone, laptop etc don't have this problem so I don't think it is a problem with the network, can anyone help?

    1. Have you tried changing the security settings on router e.g. WEP, WPA, WPA2
    2. Have you tried changing wireless protocol e.g. a/b/g/n

  • Why does my iphone keep losing wifi connection?

last week I upgraded from 3g to Iphone4.   I connected to my home wifi with no problems, but every time I leave the phone for a while, when I come back to it I find that it has dropped the wifi connection.  When i try to reconnect, I have to either press the pairing button on the phone every time, or start from scratch and reenter the wep password
My old 3g does not have this problem at all and remains connected all the time.    I called Orange and all they did was send me a replacement Iphone but I am still having exactly the same problem.
As long as  am using the  phone the connection is fine.   But if I put the phone down and it goes in to "sleep" mode even for a few minutes, the connection drops.
Any ideas please as it's driving me nuts - I'm even thinking of ditching the phone and sticking with my trusty old reliable 3g!
    thanks!

The backed up data in this regard for your 3G has nothing whatsoever to do with your 3G not having the same problem. Some of the data in the backup may be corrupt, etc.
What does you have tried resetting everything include?
Does this include resetting network settings on your iPhone 4 and/or include restoring your iPhone 4 as a new iPhone or not from the backup?
Do you connect your iPhone 4 to any other wi-fi network besides your own? If so, does the same occur with every wi-fi network you connect your iPhone 4 with?
In your original post, you said WEP password.
Have you checked the manufacturer's website for your wireless router to see if a firmware update is available for your wireless router model that you haven't installed?

  • TS2756 Why does car bluetooth keep losing connection to iphone

Since updating ios software my car does not recognise my iPhone and I have to manually connect each time I get in the car.  I have told my phone to "forget device" and re-paired as if for the first time but this has not helped. Nothing else has changed except the software update.

    Reboot the router (unplug everything)
    If that doesn't work...
Open Network Utility (Applications > Utilities)
    Navigate to the Ping tab
Type in a website (youtube works well for me)
    Do unlimited pings
    Then click the Ping button
See if that helps your connection

  • When on internet my iMac keeps going to gray screen with message reading 'You are not connected to the internet'. My wireless connection is fine for my other devices, why does my iMac keep losing connection with network?

I have read other post about this and one of them said to uncheck "enable auto channel scan" in my router settings and chang from chanel 6 to 5.  I was able to change the channel to 5 but i can't find anywhere on their page where it has the option to uncheck "enable auto channel scan".  I have a Netgear router WGT624 v3.  Can anyone recomend anything?

I've had this problem for months and finally called Apple support and paid the one time support fee to get a solution.  I purchased a 21.5" iMac in the summer of 2011 and am currently running OS X 10.7.3.  After confirming all my wifi settings were correct (already suspected this, since every other wireless device in the house works great), the Apple support tech recommended changing channels on my router from "Enable Auto Channel Scan" to one channel out of the 11 available.  I currently have a D-Link DIR-655 router, but the tech said the same structure exists on all wireless routers.  In other words, my situation would not improve if I bought an Apple router (Airport Extreme, Time Capsule, etc).  I logged into my router (here are common IP addresses for routers...  http://compnetworking.about.com/od/workingwithipaddresses/f/getrouteripaddr.htm , and made the channel preference change (in my case, unchecked "enable auto channel scan" and changed from channel 6 to channel 5).  It's been a few days since applying this change and so far, I haven't lost my connectivity. Even though I live in a residential subdivision (not an apartment / condo), my iMac is detecting up to 21 other local networks and this was causing interference (some of my neighbors using the same channel).   Sure enough, when I check the channels of nearby networks, I find many are using channel 6 and no one is using channel 5.  To find out what nearby network channels are being used, go to Apple icon in top left, "about this Mac", "more info", "system report", under network choose "wifi", scroll down and see other wifi network info.  Changing the router channel from auto enable to a specific channel has improved both my internet connectivity and speed (not sharing same channel with neighbors).  Hope this helps!
