Why does my mouse pointer disappears when hovering over Firefox?

When I'm over the Firefox window, my mouse pointer disappears, unless I'm typing or actively using my mouse.

Every time Firefox opened
== This morning after updating to the latest version, but before I had restarted Firefox to fully install the new version.

it seems that flash player is causing this problem because when i disable it, everything is fine. i even tried to install older versions of flash player (9.+) but pointer still starts to disappear. i'm using Windows XP. it happens on the both of my computers and it started at the same time (during the last week) i don't know what to do next..

I went to "view" then "toolbars" and de-selected "yahoo toolbar" and then moved the curser over my firefox page and it now works completely including the problem area (the top 3 cm of each screen). The latest flash plugin 10.3.181.34 makes my mouse pointer disappear when pointer not moving (Windows Vista) - any thoughts?

When I start firefox 6.0 beta, the mouse pointer disappears once firefox has initialized itself. If I move the mouse pointer, it reappears, then disappears again when it is at rest.
If I disable the flash plugin, the mouse pointer behaves normally, i.e. it is always visible.

Firefox 5.0 does the same thing as stated above.

I'm having trouble recording audio in presenter -- when I get started recording, after the first slide the mouse pointer seems to disappear onscreen. I can't do anything except clicking escape which brings up the save window and I can use my keyboard to navigate and click save. Then the mouse reappears.

Yes. This has happened to me, consistently. I am using Windows 8.1, Office 2013 (64-bit).
I have Adobe Presenter 7 and 8. I purchased 10 (as an upgrade), but it wouldn't install because the "upgrade" is ONLY available if you're upgrading from Presenter version 9 (something they don't tell you before you buy). This is a separate issue--I've asked for a refund and in the meantime, I'm using the trial version of 10.
As I record, I notice the arrow from the mouse-pointer disappears and will not re-appear. I must hit "escape" and save the work that way. I have tried re-booting, and disabling add-ins. Nothing seems to work.
I'm afraid we have another "glitch" in an Adobe Product. What else is new?

It sounds like Safari is displaying in 'full-screen'. To reveal the tool bar move the mouse pointer to the top right-hand corner of the screen. You should see two blue arrows, click on those and it should take it out of full-screen mode and leave the menu bar, tool bar, etc. permanently on view.

Take these steps if the cursor changes from an arrow to a white "prohibited" symbol when you try to move an icon on the Desktop.
Sometimes the problem may be solved just by logging out or rebooting. Try that first, if you haven't already done it. Otherwise, continue.
Select the icon of your home folder (a house) in the sidebar of a Finder window and open it. The Desktop folder is one of the subfolders. Select it and open the Info window. In the General section of the window, the Kind will be either Folder or something else, such as Anything.
If the Kind is Folder, uncheck the box marked Locked. Close the Info window and test.
If the Kind is not Folder, make sure the Locked box is not checked and that you have Read & Write privileges in the Sharing & Permissions section. Then close the Info window and do as follows.
Back up all data.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:

Mouse pointer disappears when screen sharing

When I use Back To My Mac from work to screen share my home Mac the pointer disappears. When I first connect and put the screen sharing window into full screen mode (into a separate space) everything is fine. I can then switch back to my current Macs screen and the mouse pointer is still working. But when I switch back to the screen sharing space the pointer is gone.

the difference is that it only happens when I'm using my thunderbolt display.
i have an mb air and a mbp retina. there is no issue until i'm connected to it - then i get this freeze issue during screen share and my hidden dock won't appear.

Only since upgrading to 3.6.15, the pointer disappears at rest. When I move the mouse, it reappears, with a one-second delay, so that I am only sure where the pointer is when I am moving it! I'm using Windows Vista Home Premium

I'm looking into this issue but it will take me some time to provide a reply.
In the meantime I noticed that you have 3 monitors with 1x 55' and 2x27' - please have a try to only connect 1x27' monitor and see if issue persists.
Also please try to change the screen resolution to a lower size and see if issue persists.
Both suggestions are not solution, I just would like to know if it is related to multiple monitor or screen resolution.

Why does my cursor not work when hovering in certain sites?

My cursor does not bring up information when i hover in sites like appointment plus. I use safari, when i downloaded firefox and signed on the cursor worked, is there something i am missing? I prefer safari, but will switch to firefox if i have to.
At my office i have an old mac with snow leopard and the cursor works on that while on safari. my home computer has lion and it doesn't work

Your Mac sends traffic to the interface at the top of the list in
System Preferences > Network
When you plug in the second Ethernet, that Interface jumps to the top of the list and all traffic goes there.
The solution is to cable that Printer to your Router, not to your Mac.
Alternatively, you could add a small Switch and connect your Mac and the printer to it.
If you really want to you can use Internet Sharing to add the Ethernet port going to the Printer to the Network connacted to the Internet.

i am having issuer with sending pictutres via email.
if i use the insert image i can only select a single image at a time ... slow..
so to avoid this time waste i go to pictures, select the images i want and click share via mail option
and the images appear along with my signature line.
when the mail is recieved my signature has disappeared.

Like I stated before, my clients are able to sign this document when I send it to them, but it is returned to me with their signature (not in the signature field, but at the end of the document), and my signature is missing. I tested this on myself - my signature is missing when they receive it.

Why does Mozilla minimize or disappear when it freezes?

This happened since I upgraded to the newer version of Mozilla late last year. It still does it with the latest version of now 19.0.
When Mozilla has a deep freeze, not just a temporary freeze, the page will minimize itself. I can still see it in my task panel but it stays minimized until it's unfrozen. Can take 30 seconds to a full minute to un-minimize. Is this normal behavior or not?

Why does wi-fi signal disappear when I create a dual band network?

I have an Airport Express (4th Generation), and I am trying to setup a dual-band network. My wife has a new 15" MacBook Pro and I am running a iMac (Version 7,1), which I purchased in March 2008. From what I have researched, I should be able to run a dual-band network; however, as soon as I set up the 5GHz network, my iMac loses wi-fi and I cannot join my network even though it appears in the wi-fi status in the menu bar (the MacBook Pro is just fine). Am I doing something wrong or is my iMac simply not compatible?

Are you trying to join your iMac to the 5GHz band or the 2.4GHz band? The problem may be that the 5GHz band does not transmit well through thick walls and it might not be reaching your iMac with a good enough signal strength. As far as I am aware the 2008 iMac does support 5GHz connectivity however someone else might know better.
Try joining the 2.4GHz network and see if that helps.

Why does the "Junk" button disappear when I have multiple e-mails selected?

Very annoying! First thing I do when I open my e-mail is to multi-select all of the junk... and then I have to right-click - could the button just stay put???

AFAIK, Thunderbird doesn't have a native Junk button. The one I use was put there by the Junquilla add-on.

Why does my electronic signature disappear when I send document to be signed by client

I converted a word document into PDF. I edited this document, added form fields for client to fill out. I need to be able to add both my and my client's signatures. I first tried to add my own digital signature, but it would not allow me to send it to my client properly because it was being read as already signed; they were not able to fill any fields. I then added 2 digital signature areas enabling echosign, one for me to sign and one for them to sign. I successfully added my signature:
Saved this document, uploaded it to echosign and successfully sent to my client. My client signed, but the PDF I received back only has her signature; and her signature is at the bottom, not on the signature line as the screen shot previously with my signature.
Signature is at the end of contract with the certificate of signature on the following page. I'm not posting the screenshot as it shares personal information of my client.
Help would be appreciated. I just need to understand how to enter my signature along with their so that we are both bound to the agreement. Otherwise I am still wet signing, which kind of defeats the whole purpose.
