Why does my site look nothing like the design and during testing once uploaded to the server?,
Im using Muse whichj crashes like you would not beleive, but after much perseverance I got a basic 4 page holding site together, I tested the site and it all looked fine, when I uploaded it to the server it looks nothing like the site I tested, to the point that even the background has changed colour and nothing is in the rite place.

You are in the correct area its just that some of the articles might be referencing the old v2 interface while you are on the new v3 interface.
We're in the process of making sure all our documentation will reflect the new interface however in the meanwhile you can reference articles on this page.

Why does my site look different in google chrome and explorer

My site looks and feels great in Fire Fox but it looks like crap in google chrome and explorer...is there any way to fix this issue?

Hi Livia
I have checked the file and can see that you have used a slideshow for browser background , the page fill is the hero image where the thumbnails are disabled.
If you remove the slideshow then the issue is resolved as the red bar in top and white bar at bottom comes fine with all browsers.
Please remove the slideshow from page background and use the same image as browser fill which will fix the issue.

Hi Karon,
Unfortunately it can be a few things such as an element removed in your CSS or perhaps something was removed in your HTML via page layout or template. However I cannot pinpoint the exact cause.
I would suggest working with a designer to help fix the inconsistency of the site displaying in various browsers.
I'll leave this thread open to see if the community can assist further.

Why does my published site look nothing like the Muse site I designed?

I have published and taken live several sites and they all looked as expected. The most recent site looks nothing like the Muse site I designed. I published it and BC took me to the home page, where all the background images, graphics, slide show are all missing. Text looks like regular text, not html formatted text. I can't show this. What happened?

Similar situation just happened to me this morning. Opened a Muse site I was working on and when I preview it the web fonts are not showing and alignment is wierd. ??? Was working fine last week.

Why does my site look different live?

When I preview my site in safari or mozilla and even live view, it looks exactly how I want it to look, but when I put the files up, it seems like there is no .css. Any help is much appreciated, thank you!

Your link to the page did not work for me, I got a 404
You could start by a) checking that your style sheet has uploaded (if you have an external style sheet for your CSS) and/or that your link to the style sheet acurately reflects the file's location i.e. that the path is correct.

Hi All,
Second post here, hope that you are able to assist.
So I started to build a website and its based on the throughout template: http://www.freecsstemplates.org/preview/throughout/.
In dreamweaver, and its preview through to firefox, it looks great. Otherwise, as soon as its on the web, it looks nothing at all, like it should :|
We have a silver business package with FastHosts. Things like ASP and PHP are included as standard, but I just cant see whats gone wrong or why?
So click on the above link to see how the template should really look (colour in my website is a goldy yellow text with black background, all else is very similar)

Can anyone advise if I am missing the obvious? do I need to set something on fasthosts to allow the javascript of the template?

You're a beginner. It takes time to learn everything you don't know. To save some time, copy and paste this code into a new, blank document. I stripped out everything non-essential and changed your slideshow to jQuery Cycle2. It works now.

Why Does my site look different on my computer

My site, www.aaronapter.com, looks completely different on my computer than when I view it on another computer. It actually looks like my browser is accessing the files from my HD instead of the internet. Any ideas why? I ask because I want to fix some errors on my published site, such as a fonts appearing differently and the spacing of a page being totally messed up. Again, this doesn't happen when I view it on my computer, but it does on others. Any help? I'm using iWeb '08.

Is it just fonts? If so, the challenge is that you're using fonts that are only on your system and not others. There's a bit of a tricky fix but it'll force fonts to be graphics.

In short, go to Applications, control-click on iWeb and choose Show Package Contents. Then open Contents, then Resources, and then double-click on FontMapping.plist. Look for the special font that you're using and change false/ to true/like this:

Why does my png look so good in fireworks, and so bad after i copy it somewhre

I have created a basic graphic as my logo for a new business.
Im importing the graphic into business card creator. The image
looks crystal clear when I view it in Fireworks, but as soon as I
export it to this business card software, it looks horrible. It is
fuzzy . Any suggestions? My text is doing the same thing.

Go to modify -> canvas -> image size. Chang your
"pixels per inch" from 72 to 300.
Try that and see what it looks like. Be warned though that
fireworks isn't intended to create print graphics. Adobe
Illustrator is the program you should be using.

Why does it take 7-42 minutes for Firefox 4 to open once I click the icon? (I have timed it, yes.)

I'm writing this on ie, which I HATE, because since I installed F4, it will not start up in a reasonable time. I did all the basic troubleshooting, uninstalled and re-installed it, checked the options, etc but nothing works. Everything elso on my computer works instantly, except F4. What's up with that and am I going to have to go back to using the hated ie all the time?

It sounds to me like the installation didn't perform correctly.
What I suggest you do is to go to Add/Remove Programs and uninstall it, but don't checkmark the option to remove your bookmarks, customizations etc.
Before you do that though, go to [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/fx/?ref=logo Download Firefox 4.0] and download a fresh installation file.
After you uninstall the existing installation, reboot.
It's also wise to disable your AV before installing again. If you've got AVG, this is particularly difficult because it doesn't have an Exit option. Instead, you have to open MSCONFIG and remove the checkmark from '''AVG Watchdog '''which disables everything. Any changes to MSCONFIG requires a reboot I regret to say.

Why does Magic Bullet looks crash my After Effects and computer when I open it?

I don't really know how else to explain. I've tried re-installing both. I don't know what else to do. I'm on After Effects CS5.

Just updated my display drivers.
Then un-update them. MBL is, after all, driven by OpenGL and may frown on the slightest variation there. Also inquire with Red Giant Software what driver versions they support.
