Why does my text disappears (some of it) when I convert my .psd to a PS .pdf?

I've read every possible answer that it could be, but it increases my .pdf to more than 600 MB, that it will supposed to be!! please advice!!!

What version of PS? What text? What PDF setttings? What system? what fonts? You need to provide a lot more details. If the text disappears, the font may not allow to be embedded or you have applied some formatting or styling that can't be retained without converting it to pixel data...

I think the data in the PDF file was filled-in using MAC preview.
One option is to ask the user to fill the file again using Adobe Reader or Acrobat.

Why does Pages Text Disappear On Conversion to PDF

I made a two-page newsletter in Pages '09. The text on the front page article disappears when I export to PDF. The text is there in the thumbnail for the file but when I open the PDF document, the page is blank except for the graphics and photo.
I'm using pages '09 and the latest version of Acrobat Pro. The font is Futura Medium and shows up fine on the second page.
Any ideas?

After pulling my hair out for several days trying to solve for this, my son looked at it and in 20 seconds figured out the problem. The file looked fine in Preview and showed up in the thumbnail. Exporting to Word also worked, but the text disappeared regardless of how I arrived at the PDF.
When examining the text box for the the "disappearing" text, my son chose "Bring To Front" from the "Arrange" menu and that fixed it. This made sense because all the other body copy text was the exact same font/style, etc. and displayed as expected in the exported PDF. Therefore, the problem was isolated to the properties of that one text box. In the course of laying out the newsletter, that one text box was sent backward in the layers and when converted to PDF, was hidden behind an invisible layer (there was no background of any kind behind the text, just the white "paper").

Just the text in my text layer is what's disappearing. I import my image file, drag it onto the board and then click to add a text layer. I type out my text and then go into the effects & presets, select Animation Presets --> Text --> Animate In -->,Straight In MultiLine, drag the effect into the text layer and then my text disappears, as shown in the second image below ...This just recently started happening to me and I don't know how to get it back. Why Does my text disappear when filling a text box?

I am trying to fill a text box a little larger than a sheet of paper (8.5x11). I have typed my statement and copied and pasted it end to end so that my text box will be filled with a repeating statement. When the text box gets about 1/5th full I get a little red plus sign in the lower right corner to indicate overflow. THIS IS NOT THE CASE. The box is only 1/5th full and should not be rendering an over flow. Even if it was an over flow the text in the box should remain visible. Hyphenation is on. Dragging the corners to resize the box is not helpful.
I have drawn many text boxes and used various size fonts and leading, nothing seems to help.

Something is definitely corrupt here. Not only does the text extend beyond the displayed bounding box, but double-clicking on the Characters line in the Appearance panel shows "No Selection," even though the bounding box still shows, and the text vanishes. Attempts to edit the text on the artboard also cause it to vanish.
When I create a new type object in your document and follow your described procedure, the result is the normal, expected behavior. Have you tried to repeat this in a new document? After restarting Illustrator? After rebooting your computer? After deleting the preferences?

Why does a border appear around a jpeg when coverting from a Word doc to a PDF?

I am using a jpeg image on a word document as part of headed paper.
When printing this as a PDF image, a border is placed around the jepg, not all the way (just the top and left hand side), but this is certainly not present or required before.
Does anyone know how to remove or avoid this?

The text frame is visible. Is there a setting I have inadvertently used? The text in the frame is visible on the pasteboard but when I place it on the board, I get the little red overflow indicator on the text frame. Can't figure this one out. It is in its own layer on top.Thanks.

Why does the text jump up and down when I'm trying to read or click on something? It's damned annoying. How can I stop it

Home page or email page, the page jumps up and down at random and when I try to click on something I often miss and end up clicking something I don't want. It gets real annoying and I can't find where to stop it. Why did someone think to do this in the first place. I've learned new profanity because of it.

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.

To clear cache and cookies do the following:
#Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
#Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".

Why does my text size on itunes change when i plug my ipod in?

Whenever i start my itunes without my ipod plugged in the text size is normal and no issues but when i plug my ipod in and it recognizes it, it increases the text to an unreadable size. After a few clicks it reduces the size slightly but still not the normal size i have it set on. Any ideas how to prevent this or what could be causing it? Thanks for any help!

I managed to get it to work this way on Windows 7 SP1 X64
Itunes 10.2
Ipod 2g
Open Itunes
Open Task manager
Click on process tab
Connect Ipod 2g
Swap back to applications tab and check for not responding for Itunes
If Itunes goes not responding
Disconnect and reconnect Ipod, while viewing process tab
It may take a few times

Why does a song disappear from my library when I click on it to play it?

This has happened more than once. Let's say I bought an entire album and I go to play track 3, itunes will play track 4 and track 3 will disappear completely. Has anyone else experienced this?

You can always Direct Select the Clipping Path and add a Stroke, but with your specialized stroke you may wish to start as follows:
1) Select the outer shape and copy it behind itself (Ctrl/Cmd+C+B);
2) Select the copy and Draw Inside that.
In this way, the original outer shape will remain, at the top. You may wish to Group everything so you can move it about safely.

Why does spell checker skip some text captions?

I spell checked my project and found typos. But there was another typo on the very first slide, first text caption, which it left behind. Why did it do this?
I thought, maybe this typo is in my dicitonary, so I deleted more letters from the word, and it still did not find it.
Then, my search on this topic I found advice to export all captions to Word and spell check there, then reimport back into Captivate. Is there something I don't understand here? Why does spell check find some errors and not others?
Please straighten me out.

Just a WAG here, but what had focus when you kicked off the spell checker? My thought here is that many spell checkers work in "directions". For example, in some apps, you choose whether you search from the selected point forward or from the selected point backward. So assuming Captivate is programmed to work in "this point forward" mode only and you have perhaps slide three selected, that would explain why earlier slides would be skipped.
Note that it's only a theory at this point. Either way, I'd strongly suggest you consider filing a bug report to the development team about it so they can investigate. (Link to the reporting form is in my sig)

Problem solved: I have been using Walnut for Firefox ver. 2.0.28 theme. For some reason this has been causing the problem. Started FF in Safe Mode, and the slider problem disappeared. Then proceeded to re-enable the Walnut theme: the problem reappeared. Disabled Walnut theme and reenabled all my other add-ons (about 6 of them). Still no problem. So, clearly there is a problem with the use of Walnut theme in FF ver. 32, at least on my Windows 7 installation.
