Why does the Acro 9.3 Updater ask for Safari Plug-In 3 Times?

Adobe's software is generally known for its massive bloat (Acrobat 9's 1GB install size, I'm looking at you), but when one of the updates asks me to install its craptacular Safari Plug-In that takes aeons to start up and simply pales in comparison to the Apple Preview Plug-In, and then doesn't take no for an answer but goes on to ask me two more times if I want install its crap I begin to understand why Apple hasn't allowed Flash onto the iPhone or the iPad.
Ok, I'm done ranting for today. If the language is too strong (or honest) for Adobe's moderators, go ahead and delete me. It's not as if I'm actually going to waste money on you again.

Why does App Store on iOS keeps asking for another user's iTunes credentials?

I recently helped a friend activate her iPhone 5. She used to have an iPhone 4S which I helped her do a backup on my Macbook. After backing up her iPhone 4S, I restored her iPhone 5 with the backup. Because her SIM card was not the correct size, I used my own SIM card to activate the phone as well. But now there is a very weird issue where if she downloads certain apps from the App Store, it would ask for my Apple ID credentials instead of her's. I tried signing out of the App Store and having her sign in. But every time I download a certain app, it keeps asking for my credentials. Very strange. Any one know of how to fix this? PS: iCloud is also signed in with her credentials.

Those apps were apparently purchased on the other person's Apple ID or were transferred to your computer from the other person's computer. Those apps are not registered against your Apple ID. Either you use the Apple ID and password of this other person or you purchase the apps using your Apple ID.
It's simple enough to check your Purchases page in the App Store to see if these apps are listed for you.

Why does imail on my iMac keep asking for passwords, that when I enter the correct one it does not recognise, but Yahoo does, its driving me nuts!!!!

Why does the song i downloaded keep asking me to authorize it for my computer, and when i do it plays a differant song

I downloaded Fast AS You from I-Tunes. When I click on it to play it a pop up box says I have to authorize the song for my computer and asks for my password. When I enter my pass word it plays 6th Avenue Heartache. Over and over, even after a reboot it does the same thing. Any ideas?

Why does my wife's calendar app ask for the password to my calendar account?

My wife and I used to have iPhone 4's. We each have a Google calendar, and we had our calendar apps set up so that each iphone would show both calendars. We never had any trouble.
Recently my wife and I switched to iPhone 5c's. Since then, whenever my wife tries to enter something into the calendar, the app asks for the password to my account. I don't have that problem on my phone. I'm pretty sure the phone apps are set up the same way. What gives?

It is possible that those 2 calendars are syncing Google accounts and being shared. My friend shares her calendar with me and it shows up in my calendar.

Why does the default install make a partition for boot?

The installer, if one lets it prepare one's hard drive, makes a partition for boot, and formats it as a second extended filesystem. I know that people debate the need for/desirability of a partition for boot, and I do not mean to revive that debate. Rather, I am interested in knowing why the Arch developers, like the developers of some other distributions, such as Gentoo, but unlike some, such as Slackware, call for a boot partition, with ext2fs file system, on a default install. Should Arch users interpret this as a recommendation? Also, why is the partition quite a bit larger (although tiny compared to the available space on hard drives these days) than seems necessary?

I've looked at a couple of books and a fair number of internet posts on this, and I must say that these responses are a good deal more concise and clear than what I have come across. I did find it interesting that the Slackware on-line manual doesn't make any effort to encourage it. On the other hand, what you guys are saying sounds sensible enough.
I have both Arch and Gentoo running, sharing a boot partition, which I set at 50MB. I'm using 25% of it, which is why I ask about size - obviously not in terms of overall capacity, but in terms of need.
Why not a lot less - say, even if one is considering dual boot, 20MB? And where do numbers like 32MB come from (the Arch, and indeed Gentoo, default, also referred to by T-Dawg)? Why not use round numbers?
Does 32MB have some rational/irrational/astrological/lucky 7 connection to 64MB RAM, sort of like designating 128MB as swap instead of using numbers like 120MB or 125MB or 130MB?
As you probably know, in Gentoo this stuff is done on the command line in fdisk, and I found it quite odd to be told in their manual to tell fdisk that the boot partition should be 32MB (assuming a single operating system) and swap should be 256MB, especially since fdisk and my hard drive took these numbers with a grain of salt and conspired to adjust them to slightly different numbers complete with decimals. Arch, on default, does the same.
Then I find out that with two operating systems, I'm using about 13MB out of 50MB (or rather 49.9MB, as fdisk and my hard drive decreed)
To change the subject a bit, I think that it is a good idea that the current version of Arch .08 would create, on the default track, a /home partition. There are some nice ideas in the install dialogue, including in the section on setting up a hard drive.

Why does my email account suddenly start asking for a key chain account and not end mail

For no reason at all my Gmail is now asking for my gmail passwork (which it constantly rejects) to save in the keychain and will no longer send mail - it just goes into the outbox..why??? How can I fix this..

If you know your correct gmail passwords open the Keychain Access aplication and delete all gmail passwords. Insert your correct gmail passwords when asked for them and allow them to be stored in your keychain.

Why does the Adobe Acrobat DC Update Fail on a Mac Running OS X Yosemite 10.10.2?

I don't have Adobe Acrobat installed anymore, yet CC is still telling me I need to update Adobe Acrobat DC. When I try to update it, it gets to 35% and fails, every time. I've tried quitting and reopening CC; quitting CC, deleting the OOBE folder in my profile, and reopening CC. Regardless, it fails. Here's the output:

Why does the site manager create c:\ folders for files that don't belong to the site via FTP?

Hello everyone,
now I've been using Dreamweaver since Ultradev 1.0 and I have just recently upgraded to CS 5.5 Web Edition. Before that I used CS3. I've allways been very satisfied with Macromedia and Adobe products until now
Now I don't know whats happened in the last few years but I am getting the impression that the quality of Dreamweaver used to be alot more stable.
Developing for more than half my life I understand that bugs are usual and that not everything can be cared for, but to be quite honest I also know that there are bugs that just should not happen when you ship a product.
On the other hand I do love some of the enhancements that have come with 5.5, for example the Javascript Framework integration and jQuery code hinting features but what I really cannot understand is why the heck is Dreamweaver automatically uploading files that do not belong to the currently open site to the ftp server? I cannot think of any scenario in which this would be appropriate behaviour. I'd understand it if the files somehow contained links (CSS, JS, PHP, etc.) to the currently open site, but they don't! Dreamweaver simply sets out, every now and again, to creating a totally "dumb" folder structure on my ftp servers when I open a file from outside of the site - which I do very often to copy code I used in other projects.
It's just frustrating having to cleanup the ftp servers because Dreamweaver created folders like this "c:\localhost_root_folder\client_folder\client_project_folder\www\.... and so on", and saves a file in there that has nothing to do with the currently open site.
Now I've looked for settings that would supress this behaviour but I could'nt find any.
Also, I really don't want to stop using the automatic upload function because it speeds up development time significantly.
Does anyone know how to work around this issue, or even better, does anyone know why this behaviour is happening and what it's purpose is?

Dreamweaver doesn't "automatically upload" anything unless you have it set to on save. This is a bad practice if you aren't 100% sure of what you're doing. You may see it as a time saver, but if you have to go back two or three times and clean everything up, it isn't. Additionally, you select what is uploaded or not uploaded. If you choose to upload the entire root folder every time, then Dreamweaver will upload everything inside it... not automatically, but because you chose it.
As to the "dumb folder structure", when you define a site, YOU and YOU ALONE define the folder structure. If you are working in multiple sites at once (bad practice unless your are extremely meticulous about details) odds are you will sooner or later save a file from one site, with another site open in the Files Panel and Dreamweaver will save the file to the open site, not the one you opened it from (see why it's a bad practice to do this?).
It's just frustrating having to cleanup the ftp servers because

It reads like you have defined a testing server and are using it when you put files. C:\localhost is a testing server protocol. If you are testing files and then attempt to put files from the testing server instead of the root folder, they will have the filepath from the testing server and not from the root folder file structure. Again a bad practice unless you are meticulous about details and remember to switch back to the root folder from the testing server panel BEFORE you put files.

Why does the Welcome to firefox tab open with my google tab every time I open the browser? And why can't the browser hold any add-ons I downloaded? I loose then when I close the browser, even tool bars have to be reinstalled every time I open the browser

Every time I open the browser the Welcome to Firefox tab is the first tab, then a second tab opens and thats my google, then a 3rd tab opens for me to reinstall my toolbar. This has been happening for a good year. Updates have not fixed it. Others have this problem. I did a search for an answer, the question is out there but no answer. Now if I go into add ons and add a background Theme or an extension it all is gone when I exit the browser. When I open the browser again I get all 3 tabs and have to install my toolbar again. I DO NOT want to reinstall as I will loose all my saved data, passwords, bookmarks, everything! I have had this computer for a year, Windows Vista x64 bit. Its not the computer, it's the browser. Why does the search dialog not show up for inputListOfValues?

I have an LOV defined that works correctly in the Application Module Tester but does not appear to work correctly within a column of a table.
I have defined the inputListOfValues as follows within a column of a table

The control shows up with the search icon in the appropriate column of the table when I add a new row, but when I click on the the search icon, it does not bring up the Search and Select panel. It looks like it is trying to do something, but it is just ends up redrawing table.
Any clue about how I might figure out what is going on here or what I am missing?

Why does the new 61XL say it is for PSC 2510 when it doesn't fit??

I have just purchased a new ink cartridge for my PSC 2510, and was advised to get the 61XL (I usually use the 56) which lists on the side that it is compatible with the 2510. However I have just tried to intall it but there is no way that I can get it to fit as the two tabs sticking up at the front go all the way to the sides of the cartridge as opposed to having a gap on each side on the old one, and this stops it from going all the way in, so I can close the tab over it... Can somebody tell me how this is supposed to fit or have I just wasted $50 for nothing???

Sorry you bought a wrong cartridge, it is not compatible with your printer PSC 2510 , it is compatible with HP Deskjet 2510 All-in-One Printer. Please check the following list:
