Why does the apps store not accept my ID and password, it works fine to log into this forum and it works for the apple store, but not to log in to buy apps, it just keeps telling me that the id or password is wrong, and I know it isn't

Do you have one, two or more entries in the left colum of Mail.app for your mail server(s)? That is, do you have your Mail.app set up with either a btinternet entry, with a btyahoo entry, or both? Or more?
I'm guessing that you might have one account (btyahoo?) listed for incoming (IMAP server) mail, and with the outbound (SMTP server) mail is configured and named btinternet.
Based on what little I see posted, it looks like BT uses both btinternet and btyahoo, but I'm not exactly clear on how they have their stuff set up, and their web set gets helpful and tries to help configure my mail — I don't immediately see a single web page with the mail server set-up details. You may have a hard drive problem. When I installed Lion, the installer told me that it couldn't complete because the hard drive was failing (or broken, the exact words escape me). Since the HD had been functioning just fine, I took it to the Genius Bar, and found out that yes, the hard drive was slowly dying (bad sectors). I couldn't reboot into Snow Leopard, the installer wouldn't let me and then the drive just wouldn't work at all.
I had to replace my drive and restore from Time Machine. Thankfully, I had Time Machine, and had just done a backup 5 minutes before the crash.

Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from the following page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up").
In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Apple Software Update entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Next, select any Bonjour entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

Did you enter the last three digits on the back of the card for Visa or Master or the 4 digit # on the front of Amex?

Recalling, it definitely was a fake update notification because it had 3 things to install and Mozilla never sends that. The toolbar and some search engine and I don't recall the third, but that was the start of it all. Ever since I have been getting these update notifications. I took you guys advice and used a link provided and went to Fire Fox and downloaded an upgrade. I bookmarked that link and to be safe from now on I will only download it manually from there. It is too bad because for years Fire Fox has been automatically updating but it seems like these phony installers link to a computer and harass them. There was a Google redirect and even a G-mail interference. Next thing I have to do is use those malware and virus cleaners and try and remove any tag links that might be calling these fake update notices. Another one that I think caused trouble is an Adobe Flash Player update. Same thing, Adobe always updated automatically, then it started trying to add these things same as Fire Fox. Thanks everybody, at least I know better what to look out for.

Thanks for the additional info. If the printer works using your Dell Laptop, then the printer is working fine. The problem is with the driver. The Lexmark X1100 is only compatible up to Mac OS 9.2.2. If you have the Mac OS X, unfortunately, it's not compatible with that OS.
You might want to consider purchasing a new printer - preferably a network printer since you have multiple computers. We do have printers that are currently on sale online. You can check it out here: http://bit.ly/KQBDe0
Those printers are compatible with the newest Operating Systems both for Windows and Mac. It also has drivers for Linux.

If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod has your purchased content from the iTunes Store, you can transfer the content to a computer that is authorized for your Apple ID.
Note: This option only works for content you purchased from the iTunes Store (as opposed to content from other sources, such as CDs you may have imported). For content you did not purchase from the iTunes Store, synchronization occurs in one direction only. This means your content can be copied from a computer to your iOS device, but cannot be copied from your device to a computer.
Open iTunes.
From the Store menu, choose Authorize This Computer.
Enter your Apple ID and password. Then, click the Authorize button.
Connect your device your computer. If it is synced with another iTunes library, you may be asked if you want to "Erase and Sync" or "Transfer Purchases."
If that alert appears, click Transfer Purchases.
Important: Clicking Erase and Sync will delete any existing content currently on your device. The content would then be replaced with the content that is on the computer.
If you were not offered the option to transfer purchases:
After connecting your device to the computer, its icon appears in iTunes. Click the icon.
From the File > Devices menu, choose "Transfer Purchases from 'Your device name.'"
Note that the computer must be authorized for the Apple ID under which the purchases were made.

I want to activate Lightroom 5.6. The application manager keeps telling me that my serial number is invalid. This is not the case. I bought it via Amazon.de and it worked a few month ago when I still could install Lightroom without the Creative Cloud. Any solutions? Thanks!

How many times did you install and activate?
If twice, you have reached the limit and you will have to have Adobe reset your activation limit

I downloaded trial version of PS CC and then subscribed to the cloud package including PS and Lr. I cannot open PS, just keep telling me that trial has expired. Any suggetions?
