Why don't  movies Previously purchased in iTunes via my PC show up in purchased view in iTune on my iPad?

I had previously purchased movies via my PC iTunes which don't appear in iTunes on my iPad.  Previously purchased music and TV shows do appear in the iPad iTunes in my account?  Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?  Thanks.

Only apps, music, books and TV shows will appear in your purchased tabs. Movies cannot be downloaded again. What you are seeing is normal and expected behavior on the iPad.

Perhaps, as my questions also intended, other users will start to "get" how unhelpful Adobe is and communicate that deficiency to them through this and other broader communities of users?

To roll back to iTunes 10.7 first download a copy of the installer from here, uninstall iTunes. Probably best to also remove other suppporting software, e.g. Apple Application Support, Apple Mobile Device Support & Bonjour. Reboot. Restore the pre-upgrade version of your library database as per the diagram below, then install iTunes 10.7.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to scan the media folder and catch up with any changes made since the backup file was created.

Why does a movie I bought on iTunes not work without internet?

As long as the film has been fully downloaded (or synced from your computer's iTunes) then you should be able to watch it in the iPad's Videos app without needing to be online - is that how you are trying to view it ?

    Hey BJDaugh24,
Thanks for the question. If I understand correctly, the iPad is not in iTunes for Windows. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help the issue.

Why and how do I fix this?  When I go into cellular data and view account it says my ipad is activated and ready to go.  What gives???
It was working fine up until I upgraded the OS which I hadn't done in many versions so the ipad was not working as well as it should.  Now it is searching for the network.

        Hello noodles074!
Let's get your device working again! It's possible that your device just needs to be reprovisioned on our network. Please go to Settings>General>Reset>Subscriber Services>Reprovision Account. This may take several minutes. After allowing about 5 minutes for completion, please power your iPad off and back on, and test it again. Let us know if this takes care of it!
    Thank you,

  • HT4527 I can't find any of my previous purchases.  I had to buy a new computer because the old one died, and I also upgraded my iPhone.  I don't know why the music I previously purchased isn't stored in my iTunes account...?

I can't find any of my previous purchases after upgrading my computer and iPhone - are they still in my iTunes account somewhere?

    Hi there leonfromNH,
You may find the information in the article below helpful.

  • HT201272 Why aren't my previously purchased apps showing up in the purchased tab of the app store on my new ipad?  I used the same ID as my old ipad.

I sold my original ipad and bought an ipad 2.  I wasn't worried about losing all of the apps I had previously purchased/downloaded, because I knew that the app store has a "purchased" tab, from which you can download previously downloaded apps.  I set up my new ipad 2 with the same app store ID.  I went to the purchased tab, the loading circle went on for awhile then went away, but no apps showed up.  What's the problem?
I would be really upset if I lost all of the apps I previously paid for or downloaded (probably about 80 or so), seeing as how the app store is supposed to remember my purchase/download history based upon the user ID.

Go to "Settings > iTunes and App Stores", touch the AppleID, sign out, and then sign in with your revised AppleID.

  • Why don't new songs purchased on I-Tunes synch to my iPod (Nano 5th generation) that is recongized by my computer? What do I do to make that happen?

I purchased a new desk top computer. My iTunes account is regognized by the new computer, but only includes the songs purchased on iTunes. My iPod is also recognized by the computer when I plug it in. When I attempt to sync new songs purchased on iTunes to my iPod, they do sync to my iPod. Can anyone help me figure this out?

There are two questions here...  Your computer has an iTunes library, not an iTunes "account."  The account that relates to iTunes is your Apple ID, which you use to make purchases from the iTunes Store.  Signing in to the iTunes Store using your Apple ID does not put your songs from your previous iTunes library (on the old computer) into your new iTunes library.  You need to transfer your iTunes library from your old computer to your new computer.
NOTE:  If you happen to be subscribed to Apple's iTunes Match service, your entire iTunes music library is stored in iCloud, and you CAN access it from any supported computer or mobile device, using your Apple ID.
If you have access to your old computer and your old iTunes library, and you want to transfer it to your new computer, you can post back to get more info on that topic.  For songs that are previous purchases from the iTunes Store, you can re-download them into your new iTunes library at no cost, by signing in to the iTunes Store (using the same Apple ID) and going to the Purchases screen (click on Purchased under QUICK LINKS on the iTunes Store Home screen).
The second separate question is about setting up automatic syncing for the iPod, from your new iTunes library.  You may not want to do that until you have all songs from your old iTunes library consolidated into your new iTunes library.  Please post back...

  • Why is the movie I bought from itune can not rewatch?

I just bought my movie last night on itune, but it turns out can't be re-watch again? Every time I tried to click the play button on the introduction cover, it jumped to the player then jump back to the introduction with cover, why is that? Is it can't be re-watch again? I've payed the full price!

You own it. You can watch it a million times if you want to do so. The videos app is misbehaving. Try this first.
Quit the videos app completely and reboot the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the recents tray will appear with all of your recent apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

  • Why are my movies not shown in iTunes

    Hi,
I have just bought a Mac Mini and have updated all the software etc to the latest versions.
The problem I am having is that in the Leopard Movie folder I have all of my TV Shows and Films but the do not show up in the movie tab in iTunes, if i want it to be displayed there I have to copy the file to my iTunes folder, copying the film and making the Movie folder in finder pointless.
I also have a PC with iTunes and it allows me to point to any folder that i have movie content in, even on different drives and it is all shown in iTunes, surely there is a way to do this on a Mac?
Otherwise what's the point of having separate media folders in Leopard if itunes does not scan them for content?
    All help greatly appreciated.

What do you mean? Please be more specific.

  • HT4910 How do you transfer movies I purchased from the app store from iPad to iPad?

I've bought another ipad2 and I can't figure out how to transfer my movies I purchased from the app store from one iPad to another iPad. Can anyone help?

You can either sync with iTunes to transfer them to your iTunes library, then sync them to the new iPad by selecting them on the Movies tab of your iTunes sync settings and syncing.  Or, you can download them directly to your new iPad as a past purchase for free (see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519) if permitted by the studio (not all permit this).
