Why is a removed Twitter account still using Notification Center?

I added a Twitter account to ML and then removed it. Even after a restart, though, I'm still getting notifications for the account in the Notification Center.
I've double-checked and the account is gone. But the notifications still come through.
Any thoughts?

For this Twitter account, go to Twitter > Profile > Edit Profile > Apps and revoke access for OS X ...

when using notification center on iPhone 5, made App Store disappear on 4s (though still available in search). Crashes in app and in home screen. 7 crashes today.

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPhone?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after It shuts down, press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds).
Also consider deleting and reinstalling the Mail Account in question.

  • Using a facebook "page" to post to instead of a regular account in the notification center?

I'd like to post directly to a Facebook "page" instead of an actual account from the notification center but the setup for posting only allows for direct posting to an account via login and password (as far as I can see). Facebook "Pages" do not have a login or password as they are associated with a parent account....suggestions?

Hi everyone, here is my "issue".
I disabled Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn from notification center (their account are still enabled).
Anyway, every time I reboot, they come back enabled bothering me with notifications.
Is there a way to permanently disable them even after reboots?
    Many thanks!

I want my account on notification center.
and Eric, I did that already, I delelted his account and still have it on notification.
I also added my one already, and notification center shows my one and his one together. I don't know why.

    Try the AccuWeather app.
Enable it in Notification center Settings.
Open the app and go to More>Settings>Preferences>turn on Notification Center and (if you want) Calendar.

iOS 7 Basically it looks like Apple has introduced globally a bug in their notification center software with no known solution, every app using notification center throws a pop up on startup.  All I find on this forum are overkill solutions like reinstalling/rolling back the os, which no real user should to be forced to do for a minor bug of this nature.

It throws a popup only the first time you launch the app, to confirm whether you wish to have notifications enabled for that specific app.

  • Microsoft Windows 8 Mail App - Deleted Account still used as "From" Account

    Hi There,
My wife has a Surface RT that has been upgraded to 8.1. She has been happily using the mail app (Imap account), and indeed prefers it to the Surface version of Outlook. The other evening I added my own Imap account to the mail app, but then removed it again
as I prefer the outlook version. Now whenever she sends an email from the mail app, it is using my email address as the From account (can see this by clicking "more info" under the To box) even though the account is not there, which results in no
email being sent as there are no server details etc. on which to send it.
How can i change this so that it is only using my wife's account ?
Many thanks for any help you can give.
    Andrew.

  • Why do inactive iOS mail accounts still receive email?

I have several email accounts that I use occasionally, but do not want them on regularly.
Deleting the accounts will stop them from receiving mail. But I don't want to set them up every time I want to check on them...
    I have turned them off: Settings > mail > account > Mail > [on/off]
Why doesn't turning them off prevent them from checking and fetching email?
What does turning them off do, if they still work exactly the same as being on?

I do not have always BCC set.
The inactive accounts do not show up in the list of mailboxes, or accounts at the bottom of the mailboxes screen in mail.
I use the "All Inboxes", because I have multiple email accounts, and the emails sent to the inactive accounts appear in that box.
Opening the header of test messages sent to an inactive account show the "To:" to be the inactive account.
I have sent test emails from my iPhone to the disabled accounts, as well as my work email, and regardless of origin all test messages sent to the inactive accounts are fetched, and displayed in the "All Inboxes".
I have reviewed the set up accounts and there are no duplicate accounts.
I have Fetch set to push.
The inactive accounts are using my personal domain, not iCloud, or any apple mail, nor gmail.
I have verified that these accounts are not using a forwarder, through gmail, or my domain.
I am going to test one of my gmail accounts to see if it can be made inactive.
---- Answer:  My domain accounts are all coming through despite being set to inactive. Gmail accounts are not. Inactivating all personal domain accounts on the phone still results in the emails coming through.
My personal email is used for my apple account.

  • Why Doesn't my twitter come up in notifications?

It says that twitter is set up in notification (yes i am using mountain lion) but the tweets never come up in the top right corner?? any suggestions would be good

    sandermrt wrote:
when you open the Notification Centerter, do you see the 'tab to tweet' button?
when you don't, you've to sign in again on your mac settings.
then the button is there, something is rong..
This think is different and seperate. There does some to be some confusion about setting up Twitter in Mountain Lion, the various settings and controls can be found as follows:
System Preferences -> Mail, Contatcs and Calendars - this is where you add your Twitter account to the system.
System Preferences -> Notifications -> Share Button - this is how to enable the tweet box in Notification Centre, it needs to be made active.
System Preferences -> Notifications -> Twitter -> Options - this is where you set what types of notifications will appear. It's curretly limited to Mentions and Direct Messages.
If there's a way to make any tweet in the timeline to appear, without using a specific client that generates it's own Notifications, I've not found it.
    I hope this helps.

  • Twitter share button in notification center not working?

I finally got my code for my free upgrade to Mountain Lion... I updated my computer last night and everything seems to be working well.  Other than the fact that they decided to leave the Facebook integration out without saying anything until last minute (that's the feature I was really looking forward to).  But anyway I woke up this morning and I went to send a tweet from the notification center.  The button is there but when I click it nothing happens.  I've removed my twitter account and readded it.  i checked the box to remove the share button and readded.  I restarted my computer twice and nothing... Anyone have any ideas?

  • How do I unlink my friend's Facebook account and my notification center?

My notification center keeps receiving notifications from my friend's Facebook page. I have logged her out from all of my web browsers, but I am still receiving her notifications. I would like to know how to unlink her page from my notification center, for her privacy's sake.

    this thing works:
Just go into "Settings"  and click on "Internet Accounts"  (it looks like the @ sign) and then click on Facebook and click the minus  sign at he bottom.  It will delete the account and it will get rid of the notifications.  Then to add your own personal account, click the plus sign and you can use your own log in....

I like to compose tweets from the notification center in Mountain Lion, but recently whenever I click the button nothing happens. I tried unconnecting and then reconnecting my Twitter account and that doesn't work. When I restart my computer, it works for a while and then stops working again. Is this a bug?

  • Why can't I post on Facebook in notification center

    Hi all,
The function to post on Facebook in Notification Center works when I just updated to 10.8.2. Right now I can still see Facebook notifications, but I'm not able to post status update by clicking on the "Click to Post" at the top of Notification Center. (Nothing happens when I click it.)
Another similar question is using Facebook account to chat in Messages. Before it works fine by signing into chat.facebook.com, using Account Type: Jabber. Now it doesn't work even though when I go to System Preferences to re-enter my account password and no password error message occurs.
    Anyone can help? Thanks!

    Hi,
For the Messages bit I would check your Facebook settings and see if "Chat" is still Enabled.
