Periodically double click the home button and close all the apps in the recently used dock. Then power off and then back on the iPod. This frees up memory. The 4G only has 256 MB of memory.
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: How to back up
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

I couldn't find the edit button on my original post so I am posting an update here.
I have gone through more apps and have had good luck on all but one more. And it's not that the app doesn't work, I am talking about the Yahoo Weather app, It works fine, but when you swipe between cities the screen lags a bit and it sometimes doesn't move between pages the way it should. On iOS 7.1.2 it was smooth as butter but on iOS 8.0, not so much. I will post a note in the app store to let them know. I really like the Yahoo app better than the new stock app.
I have been going through my games and they all work fine. Angry Birds (Original and Stella), Canabalt, Minecraft, Bejeweled 2, Silly Walks, PopWords, Doodle Jump, Deep Green all seem to work just fine.
Starbucks app works as it should.
I will stop back again next week after I have had the weekend to play with it in detail and post my thoughts again. -

Please the first thing you should do is to restart your device. Go the sleep wake button and hold down on it for 4-5 seconds waiting for the 'slide to shut off' message to appear. Once the device is turned off go ahead and restart the device. If this does not resolve the issue then go to the area on the front of your device to the app that reads 'settings' from settings>general>reset>reset network settings. Clicking on reset network settings will not erase any data only will reset the network settings apart of your iphone., Once the reset has completed you will then need to go back to settings to wi/fi and plug in the name and password of your wi/fi prior to using it.

I dropped my ipod 4th generation in water, and I turned it on without knowing that it might never turn on again. I don't know what to do, pleae help me!!!
You could well be looking at a new iPod, but this will only cost you a couple of bucks, and a little time. Worth trying, but it maybe to late, (I just don't want to give you any false hope.) Turn your iPod off and leave it off, do not attempt to charge it or use until you dry your iPod out. Put it in a sealed bag of rice for at least 7 to 10 days. change the rice daily. If (and it's a "BIG" if) your lucky after drying the iPod it will start up when you turn on the power. You may need to charge it for at least 30 minutes to get some signs of life. If it does not turn on after charging attempt a reset, press and hold both the power and home buttons together for about 15 seconds until the Apple logo appears, then release both buttons. If your iPod turns on, check that all is working. If you get it to work the first thing you should be is back up everything on your iPod to your computer, no guarantee it will continue to work. Water does bad things to electronic toys. If it doesn't work your only out a couple of bucks, then it's time for new toys. You may want to look at replacing with a refurbished iPod, about 1/2 of new. MMS turned on? Settings>Messages>SMS/MMS>MMS Messaging>On. If MMS is turned on, can you send/receive SMS's? If so, contact your carrier. 99.9% of the time, if MMS is turned on & you can send/receive SMS's, the problem rests with your carrier. Either MMS is not provisioned properly on your account, or not provisioned at all.

The WiFi isn't working on my 4th generation anymore. I have several devices connected to the WiFi which two of them are iPhone 5 that haven't had ant problems with WiFi. I have had my iPod for a year. I have tried everything and it still doesn't work. Any ideas? Thanks.

Does the iPod see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings

I have been using itunes for 6 years now, and was listening to my music the other day and noticed that some of my albums songs were stopping short of finishing. They just stop and go to the next song. Any solutions?
I have experienced the same problem on my my iPad1, my former iPhone 4 my laptop and even my new iPhone5 though I had really hoped that the new phone and IOS would solve the problem. About 5% of the songs are affected and the stoppage can range from seconds short to a minute and a half. The file shows more of the music left, but it stops playing and goes to the next song. Very aggravating. Appears to happen on purchased and uploaded music.

hello everyone...I got my very first macbook pro just today and i have a problem deleting the "test" user account. if i can't delete it, the system won't let me turn off the system. I don't know what to do! HELP!!!!
Have you created another admin user? Go to system preferences click users and click the + to add a user; if you haven't already. Once you have another admin user other then the "test" user make sure you're signed out of the test user account. Sign in with the alternate ADMIN USER that you just created or had created already and go back to SYSTEM PREFERENCES and click the same USERS icon near the bottom. Now select the TEST user and click the - sign. This should prompt you if your sure you want to delete the user account. And your done.
New User created and Test User deleted... I hope this helps. -

Transferring Ratings from Bridge Pre-CC to Bridge CC
I assigned a rating of 1-5 to 4,000 images in Bridge 5.0.2.4 which is pre-Bridge CC. Then I "upgraded" to Bridge CC. When I open the images under Bridge-CC, the rating did not transfer over. I would like to use Bridge CC but would not like to go t
