  • Why is the "Move to Library" option unavailable in iMovie 10.0.6?

I would like to move an iMovie 10.0.6 project to my external drive, but the "Move to Library" and "Copy to Library" options are unavailable. I have an older mac with a (most likely) slowish hard drive. Could this have anything to do with it?
    MacBook Pro (15-inch Early 2008)
2.6 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
    4 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM

Normally I do that by drag & drop. But of course be sure that you have two different iMovie libraries e.g. an internal HD drive one and an external one then just select the event/project and drag and drop.
In case Apple reads this WHAT IS A REAL **** in iMovie10.0.6. that ALL events and projects are in one BIG e.g. TB file (in my case 3TB) if I now want to make a simple backup this lasts HOURS JUST BECAUSE OF A NEW SIMPLE ADDED EVENT/PROJECT. IN OLD IMOVIE THE FILE STRUCTURE WAS 1000times BETTER!!!!! SO PLEASE TAKE THIS "FEATURE" OUT OF iMOVIE 10.0.6

  • Why is the call history time on the printout different than the phone?

Why is the call history time on the printout different than the phone?

How much different is it? A minute or two??
Calls are triggered the minute you hit send, not answered. And the same when ending a call. So if off a minute or two for a call that is why.

  • Why are the shut down times so various

why are the shut down times so various

Then again, it could be completely abnormal.
I found that after updating to 10.8.2, from 10.8.1, that my shutdown times went from a solid 3-4 seconds, to a wide array. For the most part, it takes an average of 14-20 seconds on 10.8.2 (with an rare occasional 3-4 second shutdown).
I have performed an erasure, and restore to 10.8.1 to alleviate it (kinda bummed, because I do like some of the new features of 10.8.2).
I then cloned the 10.8.1 install to an external Thunderbolt SSD, and then updated that drive to 10.8.2. Shutdown problem is then evident on that drive (even in safe mode, with no startup items running).
After looking at the console logs, there appears to be a OS component that is hanging. Hopefully 10.8.3 will address it, as I find many others are seeing the same thing (as well as the hanging OS component in their system log).

I have an iphone 4s upgraded with ios 6. Why are the images I save "save photo" not in my camera roll? Where do they go?
    Thx,

  • Why was the "new tab" button option removed from the "customize toolbar" set?

Back in 3.x and older I was able to place a "open new window" button, and an "open new tab" button on the bookmarks toolbar. This worked well for me. Now with 4, the "open new tab" is unavailable, and you can only open a new tab using the default button right next to your already open tabs.
Any chance of that open new tab button coming back? I'd rather use that (what I am used to) than the new one.
They're called options, stop removing them.

You can find the New Tab button showing as a '+' on the Tab bar.<br />
You can open the Customize window and drag the New Tab button from the Tab bar on another toolbar and it will become a regular toolbar button like the New Tab button that you have in Firefox 3 versions.<br />
If you want the New Tab button at the far right end of the Tab bar then place a flexible to the left of it.<br />
Open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout"

  • Why is the Last synced time: 1/1/1601 12:00:00 AM

I'm doing a cutover migration from Exchange 2003. When I check the migration batch statistics, the "Last synced time" is always 1/1/1601 12:00:00 AM
I can't determine what this means, or why it is like that.  I want to ensure that the last sync is completed before deleting the migration batch.
    Any ideas?
    Aain Ramcharan Technology Alliance Inc.

I didn't let it stop my migration, though, as syncing is supposed to happen every 24 hours.
The best thing for me, whenever there was an error, was to Stop, Wait 10 minutes, and Start the migration, again.
    Good luck.

  • Why is the  "Use Native Sequencing" option disabled ?

I am trying Toplink with SQL Server and I have some identity fields... I see in the documentation that I should select the "Use Native Sequencing" option in the mapping properties(Database Info tab) but it is disabled(I use JDeveloper 10.1.2.1.0). Is there any reason for this ?
    Thanks in advance.

Native sequencing should be configurable for the SQL Server platform. I have filed a bug to track this.
The easiest workaround is to select a different database platform (i.e. Oracle) and then enable native sequencing. You should then set it back to SQL Server. In my quick test it kept the native sequencing configuration even though it shows as disabled.

  • Why does my min:sec timer decrement while not enabled?

My application uses many minute:second timers that must be displayed to the operator as mm:ss.
The attached simple vi does what I need except that the count-down-time value stored in the shift register decrements even when the timer is not enabled.  There may be a blindingly ovbious logic error that I can't see, or there may be something subtle in the way LabVIEW operates that is tripping me up.
In any case, the shaft register variable (Hi-1) begins decrementing as soon as you run the vi.  It should not.  It should hold the value set by the control called Timer until the Start button is pressed.  It should stop decrementing and revert to the Timer control value when Abort is pressed.
    Can anybody see my error?

    tbd, here you go:
BUT when i rebuilded the vi, i did not see the same issue, but when i recompiled the Vi the issue remained, and when i converted the timed loop into a normal and back the issue was gone as well. So I think there something with this VI, have you done the 8.0.1 update?
Was there anything done special when making this VI?

  • I have the Canon Rebel EOS T3i and was wondering what is the best setting to take firework pictures.

How can I get great pics of fireworks with my Canon EOS T3i??

For this kind of photography, it is essential to have no movement of the camera at all.  Here are the settings that have worked for me:
    1. Tripod - this is an absolute must for any kind of night photography, including fireworks.
    2. Cable release - since you can move the camera just by pressing the shutter release, you have to activate the shutter without touching the camera.  You can do this either with a cable release or with an infrared trigger.  Be sure to get the correct cable or remote for your camera since they differ from one model to another.
    3. Use manual mode and activate Live View whenever possible.  The flipping of the mirror within the camera can also generate movement, so Live View is very helpful.
    4. Use an aperture of f/8-f/11.
    5. Use ISO 100.
    6. Focus at infinity - you can manually zoom during the exposure for an interesting effect.
    7. 4 second exposure to start and adjust up or down based on your results.
    8. You will likely need a wide focal length such as 35mm to start, and then adjust as necessary if you have a zoom lens.
    9. Other possible adjustments - set the White Balance to 5300K; set the exposure compensation to -1.0 EV. This is a full 1-stop underexposure to keep the firework highlights from burning out.
I haven't posted photos to this forum before, but if this works, here's an example of what I mean.  This was shot last summer with a Canon 60D, 4 second exposure at f/11, ISO 100, 32mm.

  • Why are the date and time not updating in backups.backupdb folder?

I just started using Time Machine on my early 2011 MacBook Pro running 10.7.2. After the initial full back-up and first few updates, the backup folder (on an external 1.5 TB Firewire drive) continues to show the original "date modified" of the very first back-up and lists the size as a ridiculous 2.48 GB. (Using BackupLoupe, I know it actually is 280 GB, reflecting the size of my internal HD). Any idea why this folder's info is not updating in the finder (even using "Get Info")? Are my back-ups really there? (It certainly seems so according to BackupLoupe).

First, the best way to view or restore from your backups is via the Time Machine display, per Time Machine - Frequently Asked Question #15.  Using the Finder is not recommended.
Do not worry about the dates.  First, the date modified only applies to the "parent" folder; that's not the Backups.backupdb folder, but the one inside it that's named for your Mac.
Don't worry about the sizes, either.  On Leopard and Snow Leopard, the size of a backup folder was the total size of all the items that were on your Mac at the time of that backup (less exclusions).  On Lion, however, it's the "unique size" -- the size of items that appear only on that backup.

I get to see the Guided Procedures Role,
But in the You Can section below the gallery where we can make callable objects, its blank. I cannot see anything. Am i missing something here?
Basically I dont get any options to perform in GP Design Time role.

    Hi
What GP roles did you assign to the user. There are around 14 GP roles that come with portal. Let me know what roles did you assign ??

  • Why does the integration time setting of Keithley 2000 (number of PLC) changes to medium (1PLC) from fast (10 PLC) and slow (0.1 PLC) settings, when I tried to read from Keithley?

    Dear All,
I am trying to change the NPLC (the integration time) of Keithley 2000 and take voltage readings. Whenever I change the settings to fast or slow and then run the VI, the NPLC changes to medium. Could you kindly tell me what is causing this? Thank you and I look forward to receiving your replies.
    Regards

For the NPLC setting, the higher the number, the longer it takes to get a reading.  So 10 PLC is much slower than 0.1 PLC.
See if you can set the NPLC setting from the front panel.  Then try changing the vi to set NPLC only, then read it back to see if it matches your setting.  Sometimes changing ranges will automatically set the NPLC depending on the range chosen.  So you have to send the range command before sending the NPLC command.  This may be what is happening.

airdrop and airplay option not showing

That link is addressing only iOS 7 in general, not the iPhone 4S specifically. I have already answered your question here: airdrop and airplay option not showing iPhone 4S, iOS 7.1.2. It is the same answer as what wjosten have provided in this post. Air Drop is compatible with iPhone 5 and later.
