Why is the Text message BLACK in iOS5? Who's idea was that?
How do change the text message back to what it was before, the nice, bright, green color, instead of this dark, black color? Who's idea was it to make so dark?
It's just the design choice they made. It matches the other parts of the OS - like the time background on the lock page, the pop-up style notifications, the folder interface, etc.
I only mentioned that you could turn it off if the color bothered you that much.

How do I hide the text message preview in IOS5.0.1.
What's up All?,
Since upgrading my 4s to 5.0.1 I notice there's no way to hide the text preview on the lock screen. For privacy reasons I don't want this to happen, it's ok if a name comes up but I don't want to see the message. I've been searching the threads and am calling no joy. One suggestion was that if the phone is password locked that it would just show that you have a text and the senders name, nothing more. This isn't the case on my end, I always password lock all my stuff, phone included and I still see the text preview. Under the setttings menu for texting, there's not even an option to turn the preview off, at least not on my phone, there was before.
Has anyone found a way to deal with this? It didn't happen prior to IOS 5.0.1.
Thank you for any and all replies.Color me feeling stupid! I don't recall if I disabled it that way or not when I orignally got the phone, I know on the 3g it was under settings>messages. In either case, you steered me to where I needed to go and got the issue fixed for me and for that, I thank you, I appreciate you're taking the time to help out!

Why are the text messages people are sending to me also being sent to my sisters phone?
I just set up my new iPhone and as soon as people started sending me text messages, my sister realized that they were also being sent to her iPhone. She can read my text messages as well as reply to them. This is a problem because she can read all of my messages, and when she replies to my messages, my friends think that the message is from me! Please help me fix this ASAP!

I keep getting a message that I have "used 100% of the data in my prorated plan." However, when I check I still have over 3 GB left in my regular plan, but the full promotional 1GB is used up. I hope that the promotional data is not just a way to give me an overage charge.
The txt indicates that you have prorated data - suggesting that you made some type of change mid-cycle - resulting in you only have a percentage of your data available for the remainder of your bill cycle. For example, if you make a change 3 wks into your 4 wk cycle you then have 25% of your data available for the remaining 1 wk. If that 25% is 500MB and you USE 501+MB during that 1 wk - you have then used 100% of the prorated (25%) data.

Last night my iphone screen all of a sudden was solid blue and now it is black. I tried turning it on and off. Still nothing appeared on the screen. I put it on the charger and this morning it is totally black. However, when I hit the on and off button, I did hear the text message signal go off. When I turned the volume on and off a big white bell flashed. In the last week, there were some other display problems such as the screen blowing up large. The only way to fix it was to turn off the phone and then turn it back on.
What does all of this mean? It seems like I've had these problems since the iphone 4 upgrade.just do reset, press home button and power butoon for a while untill you can see apple

That would be imessage and not text message.
As stated by sberman, it's because the users are sharing apple id.
On each devices - settings - message - send&receive- remove or uncheck the apple ids. -
Why is the camera icon grayed out in the text message screen so that I cannot text a picture on my iPhone 5? I have an unlocked TMobile phone. My husband has the same phone, plan, and set up; his picture messages work fine.

It's called iMessage, new in iOS 5.0...these messages are going as iMessages, and as designed, they appear on all of your iOS devices(your Apple ID on your daughter's phone). Either turn iMessage off on your daughter's phone or get her her own Apple ID & wipe her phone & then setup it up again using her own Apple ID. Your daughter having her own Apple ID is recommended if you want to fully take advantage of iCloud, FaceTime, iMessage, etc. She can still use your iTunes account.

I recently bought a new macbook pro and set it up using the migration assistant from my mac mini. I can't get the text message forwarding feature to work with both computers. It keeps saying that I only have 2 devices setup, my iPad and my macbook pro. When I mess with the setting on my mac mini, it goes from saying that that is one of the devices to my macbook pro being the 2nd device. I think that something happened as a result of my using the migration assistant and now it thinks that my macbook pro and my mac mini are one and the same computer. Any ideas?

The old computer is a 2.6 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo
The new one is a 2.3 GHz intel core i7
In going over this, thanks to "tallking it out" with you, I did discover the Text Edit problem. Because I've still been unable to get the new computer text size (fonts or whatever) to match the old computer, I did not notice that the curser is now different--the line midway down the curser has to be placed on the line I am working upon, otherwise the edits go elsewhere on the page. Now, with a bit of difficulty, I am able to get Text Edit to work correctly.
If you have any ideas as to why my menu bar and Text Edit type are still so slow, I'd love to have them.
(I went through the process you suggested earlier, re my Trackpad preferences, and found no improvement.) -

Which version of Pages 08 do you have? The latest is 3.0.3. If you don't have it you cna get it from here Pages 08 3.0.3

Purple is the browser's default colour for visited links (been clicked on at least once) in the absence of any CSS rules for a:visited.

Why is the text GRAY on a WHITE background?
This Community isn't an exact fit, but by process of elimination, it's where I was allowed. Whether the description of an app is on an iPhone or an iPad, and whether your viewing an app description either in the App Store or in the "What's New" section of an App Update, why is the descriptive text gray? It is very difficult to read on the white background. It would be much easier to read if the text were black. Can I have a witness?

Why is the text going over the image when the text layer is below the image layer?? It is so frustrating.Are you sending the texts to his phone number or his Apple ID? It might be that the texts originated from your phone is to his Apple ID and not his phone number and his Apple ID was not registered for the Message app on his phone. So any texts to his Apple ID is not received by his phone.
Can you receive his texts? If yes, then reply back from what he send you and see if he can receive the texts.

Hi guys, I have an annoying problem in GRC CUP, I am trying to set up the "Create Request" function for our Company. When I create a request for either a New User, or Change a User's Roles, then perform the Risk Analysis on this, the result is "0 Ris
