Why is there a problem with Itunes freezing up at least 1-2 times when using it?

It is kind of getting old but my Itunes player (does not matter which one as I update to the latest version) has this nasty habit of freezing whether I am trying to listen to the radio or my own library.
It is now happening almost every time I use Itunes and when it freezes the only fix is to do the old Control-Alt-Delete.
I am running a 64 bit Window's 7 home premium and prefer using Itunes but you know if you does not work get something else
I have 4 GBs Ram with a 2.6 Dual Core Pentium
More frustrating is the lack of support from Apple. Oh wait Itunes is for free so you do not get help.
Even better is a troubleshooting aid that when you click NO it did not help then the window itself just disappears
Yes I checked and it is a system problem but it is a problem that has existed since Itunes put out their 10 series.
Given the number of times this question is being asked by others then is it too much to think that Apple realizes that they have a problem application and it is not the fault of the user or Microsoft OS.
No offense Apple but I know if 10% have a problem that it does not matter to you but why should I spend money on any of your products if you can not come out with a fix for your own medial player?

Do not use Clear Recent History to clear the "Site Preferences"

Clearing "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, and passwords.

I might add that I have been using itunes and purchasing apps for 2 to 3 years without any problems. HELP.

If you can't access the App Store from the Apple menu, Dock, or Applications folder installing the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo will reinstall the App Store for you.
It's ok to do this even you are already running v10.6.8.

FYI: Some third party software can cause issues with the App Store > Mac App Store: Sign in sheet does not appear, or does not accept typed text
Apple is not responsible for incompatibility isssues with third party software.

Same thing happened with my iPhone 4S - no one is any help. Thanks Apple for such a crappy update! I've called Apple, they say the SIM card needs replacing, I go to my service provider they tell me nothing wrong with the SIM card - provider tells me I now need a new phone. Sheesh! I am running the latest iTunes, the latest updates to the OS and on an iMac 3.4GHz Quad core i7 with 8GB of RAM and the music stored on local HDD.
Still locks up iTunes for between 2 minutes up to 20 minutes.
Really annoying.
If you find a fix please, please let me know, I have just been throwing hardware at it with no joy at all

When I tried to update my dad's iphone 5 to iOS 7 on a windows 7 standard account an unknown error was encountered and he lost everything! It also doesn't recognise my mum's iphone 4s (already updated to iOS 7), it gets an error, but her phone works fine on my administrator account. Do non-administrator restrictions cause problems? I think there is a problem. I dont get the noises on each song even though that happened to me on a previous update but rather than being a sporadic click it was a very loud hiss over every single track...
The latest problem with my copy is that the songs are only playing out of one speaker and its not even the centre speakers, its the left speaker.
The last time itunes didnt work properly it took apple around a week or so to correct so im not worried at the moment but i have to use windows media player in the mean time which I dont like to use.

Problems with Itunes freezing

Any time I try to select a song, or skip to next song, pause, or anything else really, there is a 10 second delay. Even closing Itunes causes a 10second delay.
I've tried completely re-installing Itunes, running anti-spyware, anti-virus programs. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm having the same type of problem. At least once a day, itunes will stop recognizing it's own library, and the only remedy I have found is to just restart the computer (sadly, this works quite well). I am also having problems importing CDs (I have to rip it through windows media player, import the folder, and convert the media). It's a real pain, and it all started as soon as I installed the new version of itunes (I have even removed and reinstalled the program several times and I still get the same thing).

Why is there more problems with sending photos in emails than before. I never had problems before.

I am having problems that I never used to have sending photos in a Yahoo email. I can't load as many photos and it takes a very long time to load. I always check my attacment by going to the sent file and when I download a photo it is way bigger than the screen and I have to zoom down to 20% in order to see the photo at it's intended size.

Larry HN~If you want to control the size of the photos select them in iPhoto and export to a desktop folder using the various size options available during export - then attach to your e-mail from the folder
I followed the above instructions and it worked very well. I found I could click on the photo in iphoto and drag it to the desktop as well and then attach to my email from the desktop. If I choose the export method I can choose a different size as there are 4 sizes to choose from and that seems to work well for Yahoo Mail altho I noticed that the larger size photo I chose the longer it took to download as an attachment in a Yahoo email.

Why is there a problem with Setup.exe when upgrading from 2.0 to 3.6.3?

I am trying to upgrade Firefox on a laptop that currently has 2.0. I downloaded 3.6.3 and opened setup. I get an error message indicating that setup cannot run setup.exe. It advises I restart my computer. When I do, it does no good. Please advise.

Firefox 2.0.0.20 is the last ever version of Firefox for Win98 / SE / ME.
You can try KernelEx to get Firefox 3+ to work, but it would be very slow with an old PC of less than 750Mhz.

Problems with the margin in then top of the page when using subtemplates

I have a main template (made by Word) where i have in the header section the following statement

it works but it makes a different margin in the top of the page depending on which template is called.
Can anyone help me to solve this problem?

When you call subtemplate, it will replace and do what sub-template has to do.
OPTION 1:
if its showing diff margin for diff sub-template, then make sure, all sub template have same margin and should look alike in the content and frame.
OPTION 2:
if you think there is extra line then use the follwoing to avoid it.

I have put a lot of work into a docx document on my Mac, but now can't open it as it gives the error message: 'the Open XML file cannot be opened because there are problems with the contents. Details, Unspecific

When opening the original file the message said: 'this file contains word 2007 for Windows equations' etc. but I managed to track changes fine, and saved, closed and re-opened it numerous times without problem. Some graphs seemed moved, and various formulas
were illegible, but no other weirdness was observed.
I have microsoft 2008 installed on my Mac OS X version 10.6.8.
I've tried to fix it using various solutions suggested here, but am afraid am too IT illiterate to have had any luck, please help I'm new to all this!

This issue is related strictly to oMath tags and occurs when a graphical object or text box is anchored to the same paragraph that contains the equation.

Some more developments ... the issue appears to be browser-specific. I can't see the download controls at the moment in either IE 8 (I'll get your message) or Safari for Windows 5.0.5 (I'll just get the blank box). But I can see the download controls in Firefox 4 and Chrome (whatever version I have of that).
So it might be worth installing Firefox and seeing if you can get the downloads via that:
