Why is there no address in the Address box after loading Firefox 5, just says Go To Website. It was fine this morning, then I updated to Firefox 5, now there is no address.

The url does not load into the address line when click on a link or open Firefox. It just says "Go to Website". If I open a second tab, then the url will display and when I close the 2nd tab the url to the current page will finally display. However, it is very annoying.

Look, many of us long time users of Firefox ''(12 years for me)'' feel pretty much the same as you do about Australis on the Desktop. I have tested and used the Australis UX Nightly builds from the days right after Firefox 4.0 was released; so Firefox 29 holds no surprises for me.
The best that anyone here in the Firefox Support forum can do is to offer advice on how to modify Firefox 29 or to mention which extensions you can install to to fix what you don't like about the changes. "Bad design" ''(in your opinion)'' or not - use it as is, fix what you don't like, or switch to a different browser. Mozilla isn't going to dump Australis over user complaints, even if it would drag Firefox to its' grave.

When I swap to private browsing firefox allows me to anter the website address directly into the location bar - but this is a slow [prcess to swap back and forth - also by dint of using private browsing I loose my website information.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

I'm using iPod touch for a year now. It was doing fine this morning but in the afternoon suddenly when I took it out of my bag, the screen was just black and it wouldn't turn on and stuff. So I thought it didn't have battery so I charged it didn't work. I plugged to the computer and it said iTunes has detected an iPod in recovery mode. You must restore this iPod before in can be used with iTunes.
Maybe my bag was little wet today but i don't think that is why.. since it wasn't that bed.. just some paper was wet and stuff..
What should I do..? Please help me.

It was a very helpful button and allowed us users to stop a web page and move on if it wasn't what we needed.

In Firefox 4 by default the Stop, Go and Reload buttons are combined and attached to the right hand edge of the location bar.
When you are typing in the location bar it will show the Go button. When a site is loading it shows the Stop button. At other times it shows the Reload button.
If you want separate buttons, right-click on a toolbar and choose Customize, you can then drag and drop the stop or reload buttons and place them elsewhere. If you place them in the order "Reload-Stop" on the right hand edge of the location bar they will be combined again. Create a data recovery, undelete boot drive
to get your data off the machine,
then do a #20 to eliminate the bad sectors as that's why your getting the "pinwheel" it's getting a delay reading from the drive, right when your trying to log in too, what a bad spot for it to happen.

What system and iPhoto version are you running and do you have Qjuicktime Player 7 installed. It would be in the Applications or Applications/Utilities folder.

thanks for your reply on my question.
You are wright the index file is 308 KB.
And offcourse that I delete my files and documents is not an Iweb problem, but because my English is not that good, that I thougt I try to tell the whole story, and hope people can read trough the lines.
Why I didn't use Iweb to upload to the server is because the server company recommanded to use file zilla. And I am a nobody with this kind of things, so I did exactly what they tell me to do.
No, i did not make a backup of Iweb and the domain file, but reading other messages on this forum showed me that I can maybe try to make empty the cashfile (?)
and otherwise I have bad luck and have to make my website again. Offcourse I have a lot of examples from all the pages (copied from the local map to my USB stick) and my website is aprox. 15 Mb, (not so big) so it will cost me a few nigths.
But I'm still hoping on a miracle :-)
