Why is XML content disappearing when converting to button?

I've never had this issue before but when I try to convert a group of objects containing XML or just the text box containing XML content into a button the XML content vanishes from the Structure panel. Usually when clicking "convert to button" everything stays normal and the XML doesn't vanish and stays linked etc. Is this a glitch or is there some odd setting that's causing this?

I work strictly with arial and times new roman.
I think all of the problems were with times new roman. I didn't see much of a pattern and what I did see was sporadic. There were problems in regular paragraphs and tables as well.
As suggested I installed all updates to Frame and after focusing on incorporating my reviewers' PDF comments I just PDF the manual again and found no problems! Yay!
I agree about the inefficiency of searching forums; it's easier to start a new thread.
I had no idea about Google's advanced search page . . . nice to know.

Hi braambotha,
The most likely cause of this issue is that the PDF wasn't tagged properly to indicate the table cells, so Excel has no idea where to place the content in the converted file. Do you know how that PDF was created, and in what application?
You may have better luck saving directly to Excel from within Acrobat. You're welcome to try Acrobat for 30 days to see if it suits your needs. For more information, see www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html.

AdvancedDataGrid content disappearing when setting rendererProviders..

Thanks for the community support, really useful.
I am using the SDK 4.1.
Here is the explanation of my problem.I am using a detail renderer inside a ADG, which appears when clicking on a certain column.
This is done is AS3 (I mean not with mxlm tags), using the ADG rendererProviders property with an item renderer passed to a ClassFactory.
This is working ok, until a certain point..
Indeed, the grid contains many columns, with images item renderers and when I am horizontally scrolling through the column, a display bug make all the ADG content disappear.. Headers remain but all the data are gone. A user action that may update the data has to be done to make the data come back of course.
This bug seems to be known by a few, but unfortunately all the solutions are useless in my case (setting the property horizontalScrollPolicy = 'auto' for each column for instance).
After some research it appears that the line responsible for making the whole thing vanishing is the update of the variable rendererProviders:
ie this.rendererProviders.push(_detailRendererProvider);
In the AdvancedDataGrid.as class, the property setter, after updating its value of course make 2 other intructions :
invalidateSize();
invalidateDisplayList();
It seems this is a bit too much for the DG to handle (note that I call this.validateNow(); after the rendererProviders update in my code).
Note as well that if I do not set :
this.variableRowHeight = true;
An error pops up from the class AdvancedDataGridBaseEx in the configureScrollBars method, doing :
var headerPosX:int = lastHeaderInfo.headerItem.x;
(headerItem is null)
So, end of the day, I am stuck..

I don't know how but for the past three days iTunes has been functioning correctly.
I removed al my music files from the library and put them back to their original folder; reinstalled iTunes and let it go from there. I've decided not to copy my music folder to iTunes as it's now working "correctly." I haven't made any playlists or made any online purchases since reinstalling as I'm wary of it all going haywire again. Thanks for your help. I'll keep you updated on this matter.

Effect disappears when convert to CMYK

I have a logo that was sent to me RGB, when I convert the document space the effect (reflection) disappears, I'm not very familiar with the effect that the person created, (mask with gradient). Here's a couple of screen shots, any advice would be appreciated:

Yeah, while playing with the graphic I tripped over the gradient and adjusted it some, and it shows up ok now.

Content disappear when use another mac to charge iPod

I am a new user of iPod, I loaded my ipod shuffle from a desktop Mac, then try to charge the iPod battery using a MacBook, then the content of all loaded songs disappear from iPod, I suspect it try to automatically sync with the songs in MacBook, but there is none in the MacBook.
If so, how can I stop this from happen, if not, does it mean that I can not connect my iPod to another computer to charge t?

As recommended, in Settings in iTunes, I UNchecked "Open Itunes when this iPod is connected" in both computers and click "Apply". but then when I connected it to MBP, the indicator amber light is blinking constantly, and I have to open the iTune, and then the light turns green, but the content was wiped out, the option for :"Open itunes when this iPod is connected" is indeed unchecked. so I am back to square one.
so I have to use decktop mac to load the music again. by the way, the reason I need to use MBP to charge the battry, is that the iPod when connected to desktop Mac has constant blinking amber light unless I plug it to MBP first, but then the content disappear.

After adding text to an unprotected .pdf file the text disappears when I move the cursor and want to add a second box of text. The text in the first box reappears when I double click on the space where the box was. How do I set the text so that it remains visible and printable?

I think the data in the PDF file was filled-in using MAC preview.
One option is to ask the user to fill the file again using Adobe Reader or Acrobat.

Why is the sound disappearing when I send a video?

I have an iPhone 5C. When I record a video and send it, the sound disappears! I can hear it just fine when I play the video back on my phone, but if I send the video to someone, they can't hear it. Why is this happening? I tested it by sending it to my email, and sure enough, the sound is gone! Am I doing something wrong when I send it, or is there a setting that is off somewhere that I need to adjust?

I can't even see where that setting is.. for my information all the footage is from a GoPro so what I've had to do is convert them to .mov and Apple ProRes 422 now. Now when I have them in final cut the samples in 'All Clips' and in the time line look ok in till I hover over them and then they have the red hint again, they do how ever export the right colour now but this is going to make colour correction difficult

Why does more info disappear when I choose get info

When I download a file and choose "Get info," I can see the dimensions (if it is a graphic file), color space, and the URL source under "More info." When I close Get info and reopen it again, that information disappears and never comes back. Why isn't this information saved and how do I get it back?

Page Content Disappears When Adding WebPart SP 2010

I have been working on a project (wiki page). I have added WPs. There are only 2 on the page. One day one of the WPs was not there I am trying to upload the same one. When I do, the entire page disappears. So I close it without
editing it and it returns. Any suggestions would be great. I have not altered the master pages.

You can try checking if the other web part is already on the page or not. Someone might have closed that web part.
At the end of your page URL type
contents=1
e.g.
http://intranet.contoso.com/Project1/Pages/Default.aspx?contents=1
If you see your two web parts there then Delete the one which is not visible on the page. You may have to checkout the page for this.
Now go back and add the web part back and see if that works.

EMERGENCY! All site content disappearing when publishing to HTML

When publishing to HTML, ALL content on the site (inclusive of header nav and footer content) is disappearing. Only the browswer image is visable. http://www.brainstormsuccess.com

Space Disappears when Converting to Excel

Dear community, I require assistance! The issue here is that when I convert my pdf to excel the consecutive spaces in between disappears. I'd like to know if there are any methods that would allow me to convert and yet retain the space.
I have attached a screenshot as reference.

The PDF doesn't look like an excel file unless it’s a CVS file.
In that cits either Comma separated or Tabb separate file. In that case you might get what you are getting.
If an Excel file in a xlsx file format is turned into a PDF. And then turned back into a PDF by choosing:
Save As Other > Spreadsheet > Excel Workbook. It will pretty much revert complete Excel Format that looks like the original. You might have to do minor formatting but it will look like an original.

Stacked contents disappear when reach the end of the field

I have one content canvas and one stacked canvas, I have putting the show_view('canvas1') to show the stacked canvas in the when-new-form-instance. However, when I press enter on the first field in the content canvas, the stacked canvas disappear immediately and when the cursor jump from content canvas to stacked canvas the stacked canvas is shown. When I keep on press enter reach the end field of the stacked canvas and jump back to the content canvas, the stacked canvas is disappear again. And the cursor still keep on reside on the firs record / row without jumping to the next two of record. How do deal with this ?
I need to shown the stacked canvas even the cursor back to the first content canvas and also I want the record to be jump into next row / record once it reach the end of the column.

Why DNG files are bigger when converting from TIFF?

When I shoot in RAW, my normal workflow is to convert all images to DNG and start editing in Lightroom. But as you know, there are some photos that need extra editing in pixel based software such as Photoshop.
When I right-click a DNG in Lightroom and chose "Edit In... » Edit in Adobe Photoshop", the photo will be opened in Photoshop as an 8-bit TIFF file for editing. For demonstration of my issue, let's assume I don't do any changes and just save the file as it is. A new TIFF file will be created next to the source DNG with "-Edit" in it's name.
Back into Lightroom, both files are almost the same, one is DNG, the other in 8-bit TIFF. From this point (assuming I did change something in Photoshop, otherwise what would be the point in opening it there) I should do my further editing in Lightroom in the TIFF and not the DNG one. Let's say I'm done with the work and export the final edited TIFF file back into a DNG (I like this format and I like to keep all metadata changes so I can easily revert back to the original). I've also exported the original DNG file for comparison.
And now I realize the following:
DNG to DNG » ~7Mb (basically the same as the original DNG)
TIFF to DNG » ~15Mb
Why such a big difference?
I didn't do any editing either in the original DNG or the Photoshop converted TIFF. Any techincal reason for this that I'm not aware or am I doing something wrong?

I did a little bit of research and:
1) The embedded previews are always JPEG files (medim or full size, doesn't matter). But now that I think about it, I don't think you were talking about the previews when you mentioned the TIFF being embedded.
2) I did a quick EXIF lookup on 3 files exported to DNG: a) Original DNG b) 16-bit TIFF converted to DNG c) 8-bit converted to DNG. Here's the EXIF results:

This probably means something like you said... The embedded files are different and some take more space than the others. The first one is 7.220Kb, the second one (16-bit TIFF) is 44.030Kb and the third one (8-bit TIFF) is 15.284Kb.
It makes sense I guess, but I still would love to hear a more technical explanation for it but it's obvious it has something to do on how the pixels are saved in the DNG file. The keyword is probably the PhotometricInterpretation.
