Why pages/keynote/number are not free for my iPad AIR?

I just bought iPad air on 1st November 2013. Why I can't download free apple app pages/keynote/numbers? Apple had announce free for new device.

They should be available after you activate the iPad. If they are not immediately available, wait a few days. Apple may be playing catch-up with all the activations taking place. If after a few days that are not made available free to you, contact Apple:

The iWork for iOS apps are free for anyone who has activated an iOS device for the first time since September 1, 2013. If your iOS device is older than that you will have to purchase the apps or a new device.
If your iOS device was activated for the first time after September 1, go to the App Store on your iPad which should open to Featured. If not, tap on Featured at the lower left of the screen & scroll down to Collections & tap on New to the App Store? then scroll down to Apps Made by Apple & tap. You should now see the iWork & iLife apps as "FREE."

My pages and numbers are not updating for about a week now Why?

Some one else had a similar problem last night...same as yours. He claimed that Pages had been stuck trying to update for about week. I posted this and he said that it worked - which part he did not say - but give these things a try.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>Store>Sign in and then try to resume the download.
If you have all of your Pages files backed up in iTunes or on your Mac, this might be the answer. Try deleting the waiting icon - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again.
I have deleted Pages a couple of times when I had issues with it and then reinstalled it. I even deleted a stalled Pages once and then tried the update successfully again after that. My files are always backed up in iTunes and on my Mac so I had no apprehension about deleting the waiting download.

iOS? I believe you mean Mac OS X 10.10.3
Keynote is only free to purchasers of a new Mac within the first 12 months of purchase.
Upgrading to Yosemite on older Macs does not qualify itself for free upgrades of Keynote.

Signing in and out App Store doesn't help. Changing account region doesn't help. When I click on the Purchased tab, these 3 apps are there listed as free but nothing happened when i click on it. Now i even cannot purchase these apps normally.

Again, you are confusing the iWork and iLife apps. iWork apps are not pre installed and do not present to accept.

Try giving it a reset. Hold down the sleep and home keys for about 20 seconds. When you see the silver apple, let go and let it reboot and then try again.

IMovie, iPhoto not free anymore on iPad Air

I purchased an iPad Air for myself a month ago. I installed the free iMovie, iPhoto etc. with my own ID. I gave that iPad Air to a family member and purchased another iPad Air and installed everything the same way as I had on the first. My family member restored the iPad I gave them and tried to get the iMovie, iPhoto with their own ID but it's not free anymore. What can I go to get these apps back on that iPad?

The software was provided free of charge once for the iPad. You used your account to collect on the one time free offer. The offer is now spent. Your family member can not take advantage of a free offer that has been consumed at this point.
What you need to do is disconnect their account on the iPad. Log in to the old iPad with your account, and then reinstall the apps you need to. Then disconnect your account and have them log in again with their account..

Yes, the cables are identical. As I recall, the Mini comes with the less powerful charger. You can use it to charge your Air but it will charge more slowly. You can use the Air's charger with either device.

I have purchased iPhone 5s and installed iWork apps for free.
Then for some reason I have uninstalled them.
Now when I am trying to download any iWork app, its paid.
How to download it for free?

If you are logged in with the same account that you originally bought/downloaded them with, and you haven't changed countries since doing so, then you should be able to redownload them for free via the Purchased tab in the App Store app on your phone. I am wondering why the card games that I play for free on my iPhone and iPad (and PC as well) are not free for my Mac through iTunes? It makes no sense. I have a new 13" apple macbook pro laptop running yosemite.

iTunes does not sell anything for your Mac.
You would have to buy apps from the Mac Apps store for your Mac.
They may differ in price, because they are not the same thing. One is an iOS app, then other is a computer app.
The maker of the app can choose what to charge for and what not to charge for. It could be that one contains ads and the other does not.
At the end of the day, then maker of the apps decides what to charge or if to charge.

***For those that purchased iWork 09 not on the app store but as a retail disk copy you can get the update for iWork even though it may show $19.99 for all the apps:
You can reupdate to iWork 9.3 by going here http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1563
then after it is updated close the app store if opened then open it again and sign out then sign in and then all the iwork 2013 apps should show as update rather than $19.99 cost each. This worked for me. I bought iwork '09 on disk but it showed 19.99 each after I upgraded to Mavericks so followed the above steps and it worked. I am now updating all my iWork suite I bought on disk, NOT on the Mac app store and now I have a Mac app store set!
Apple sure has a problem that needs to be fixed otherwise iWork will eventually be free for everyone...
Someone at Apple forgot all of us old retail people before the Mac App store existed!

The update is available for those using iWork '09. If you have never previously purchased iWork ’09 and have not bought a new Mac since October 1, you will have to purchase the applications. There are several reasons why the updates don't show as free for those who already have iWork '09 installed.
1. You must have iWork '09 apps installed & they must be updated to the x.3 version. You can also download the standalone updater from this page.
2. If you are not using English as the primary language for your Mac, change to English & run Software Update. You can then switch back to your preferred language.
3. Go to Mac App Store (MAS) > Click on Store > Check for Unfinished Downloads. You will need to individually click into each application > Click update > enter in your Apple ID & password and then it will start updating.
4. Open App Store on your Mac & look at the buttons under Keynote, Pages & Numbers. If it does not say “Update” click Account under Quick Links, enter your password & click “View Account.” Next, click the “Reset” button to the right of “Reset all warnings for buying and downloading” at the bottom of this page, & click Done. Check your updates tab & iWork & iLife updates should now appear.

I am getting a bit concerned about what is happening in your situation. Yesterday you posted your question in at least two different forums, one of them being here in the Premiere Elements Forum.

Wherever you posted, the reply was to contact Adobe via its Adobe Chat. It is the only one who can sort out this matter for you.
In the thread cited above I offered to help you with the difficulties that you were having visualizing the Adobe Chat in its web page. I was waiting for your follow up on that in the above thread. Instead, I find your same question in a new Adobe Premiere Elements Forum thread this afternoon with no refer the prior threads or prior recommendations given you.
I will also mention again...when you buy the Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements bundled in one packaging and with installation files for each on the same installation disc, each program has its own serial number. The Photoshop Elements serial number does not work for Premiere Elements and vice versa. The serial numbers are on labels on a box which houses the installation disc envelope(s). So, if you purchased both programs and found the Photoshop Elements serial number, then the Premiere Elements serial number should be in a label right underneath the label with the serial number for Photoshop Elements. I recall writing this in your yesterday's thread on this matter.
The moderator will no doubt be along shortly to close or delete this thread. So, just in case, please bookmark your yesterday's thread cited above so that we can continue this communication which is trying to help you.
