Why? Because of something you are doing wrong - however unless you actually tell us what you are doing - and what version of iPhoto you have - and any other detail that might help no one can even gess.
Exactly how are you exporting? Are the photos successfully exported to the desktop? How are you moving to the CD? why do you think they are not there?

Photo Stream does not sync when I export pics from Lightroom to Uploads folder.
I am using a PC. When I export pics from Adobe Lightroom to the "Uploads" folder iCloud does not sync with my phone. If I export pics from Adobe Lightroom to any other folder and then move them to the "Uploads" folder everything works like it should. Is this an iCloud glitch or is this me? Thanks in advance.
Updating PhotoStream automatically after making changes to pictures in Aperture is something I'd be interested in as well. As far as I know, this can't be done right now. Has anybody come up with a work around for the moment?

import photos using iPhoto on your mac.
plug your phone in, open iphoto if it doesn't open automatically.
your device should open up in iphoto so you can view your pictures. click import all and you can choose to delete from device after import or not. -

I have deleted my photos but have icloud. when i log into icloud it doesnt give me an option to view these photos at all. my photo stream is only showing photos from another iphone in the house. i am unsure if i do a restore from back up if this will work. i really dont want to lose these photos but i am very unsure of what to do to resolve. can anyone please help?

Your photo stream is not available when logging in with your iCloud account with a browser on a computer.
Why were the photos in the Camera Roll deleted?
Photos/videos in the camera roll are included with your iPhones backup. If your iPhone's backup has not been updated since the photos were deleted from the camera roll, you can try restoring your iPhone from the backup. -

I have ann iPad 2 updated with IOS 5.0.1. I use camaraderie connection kit to import photos from the SD memory card. Then I browse them with the default photo app, and I make some corrections like removing red eyes effect. Then if I open the corrected photo with Snapseed the red eyes appear again. I have tried many times and I am sure that I save changes. If I browse the photos again I see it correctly. It is like corrections are not really stored in the picture but Ina sidecar file.

Yes, and it shows the picture with corrections.. This is what is strange to me.
I'm amateur photographer and on computer I use Adobe Lightroom. There when a edition is made, changes are not stored in the original file, but written in a separate xmp file or in the catalog. So if you try to open an edited photo you cannot see corrections. To get the corrected file in another app you need to export the photo, this is create a new file with the correncions applied in it. For me it seems like photo app in IOS work like that. -
There are photos still around on my photostream from my macbook pro. I sold (and wiped clean) the computer months ago. The option to delete the photos is greyed out. It's not a huge issue, but I have OCD about keeping my photostream cleaned up and there are a multitude of desktop wallpapers and other random things that I can't seem to get rid of. Any ideas? I unregistered my macbook pro when I sold it. Tried logging into icloud.com, iTunes, etc. and there was no photo options in sight.
When the new iCloud Photo Library and its accompanying Photo app for Mac is available, this problem will go away. In the mean time, you have another option. Instead of syncing albums or photos from your photo library onto your device, why not create a shared Photo Stream with the older photos you want to have with you? Those can be deleted as you wish.
Or, as Ralph suggested, if you are planning a trip, remove the excess photos before you leave so you do not run out of room.

Apeture software. It won't open from the sidebar where i-photo lies also. Only when importing photos from i-photo, or card reader. Can anyone help with suggestion.

Welcome to the Support Communities!
It's possible you may need to replace the shortcut to Aperture that is on your Dock. I would suggest first closing both applications. Then open Finder, and in the Applications folder, double click on the Aperture application. If the Aperture launches, then you can delete the shortcut from the dock, and create a new one by dragging the Aperture icon from the Applications folder to the dock. To remove an item from the Dock, drag its icon an inch or more off the Dock and wait a couple seconds, then release; the icon will disappear in a poof of smoke.
Don't worry, you aren't permanently removing the item from your computer; you simply got rid of its Dock icon. If you want that item back in the Dock, locate the application, file, or folder in the Finder (or with Spotlight), and drag it back into the Dock.

I am trying to export photos from Iphoto to a folder on my desktop and seem to be unable to do this as a big X appears on the bottom of the photo and it says it can not export photo. Any ideas how to solve this problem so that I can download photos from I photo to my desktop?

You can export photos via email, a MobileMe Gallery, Flickr, Facebook, Photo Stream, iWeb, or to a burn folder but not to a folder on your Desktop or a flash drive.
Workaround is to connect the flash drive then drag the photos from your iPhoto library to the flash drive icon on the Desktop. -

Paper jam when printing photo from Microsoft Photo Editor
On my C7280, I want to print a photo from Microsoft Photo Editor onto plain 8.5x11 paper. This always produces a paper jam. If I copy/paste the photo into, say, Word, and print from Word, the document prints properly.
This is not a "false paper jam" - the printer attempts to feed the paper, and jams (and creases) the paper in the attempt.
In Photo Editor, I explicitly chose "plain paper" and "main tray", rather than automatic settings.

Have you tried to print using the HP ePrint app?
Also, if you are having problems using the in OS print system, install the HP Print Service Plug in.
It acts like a print driver for your phone.
If it is already installed, try the old, uninstall and reinstall trick.
