I was typing on my computer this morning and walked away. When I came back, it won't type. When I unplug my mouse and use my arrows, they don't work and the keys don't work but my mouse does work. It is plugged in and I unplugged and left it off a while. I unplugged everything and replugged everything in. My numbers lock is not on. Does anyone have any suggestions.

How to Hide userid and password in the address bar
Hello Dears
I am using OAS 10g and calling a form from my web portal designed in ASP.Net. I pass userid and password to OAS as parameters and form is accessed but the problem is that userid and password are displayed in the address bar. How can I hide this info to secure my application.
Note: This is a multi-user environment.
Please guide. thanks
Inayat QaziOn your reports server in the reports\conf directory there is a file called cgicmd.dat
This file allows you to create a key that will be replaced with the entry from this file. You can put your userid and password parameters in here and thus remove them from the address line.
Key value entries look like this in the file:
examplekey: userid="scott/tiger@myoracleinstance" %*
your url would then look like this:
http://myreportsserver/servlet/rwservlet?examplekey&report=myreport.rdf&destype=cache -

there might be something different on the mac you can try appleid.apple.com and reset your password i would also check the mac to see which appleid is signed you may have multiple apple ids and not know

Terminal won't let me type my password

Don't know anything about Terminal. I'm trying to set my computer up for remote printing to use at my university library. Using my IT services webpage, I copied and pasted a text string into the window as instructed. I got this:

So what I think that means is that whatever I was supposed to enter there was fine. The problem is that it's won't let me type my password. I tried typing all different kinds of characters, and nothing happens- there's just a dark grey box after the colon. If I hit return, it says "sorry, password incorrect" or something.
My computer is a two-year-old iBook G4 running some kind of OS X, if that matters. Sorry, I feel like this is probably really obvious, but I'm at a loss.

iBook G4When you are prompted for your password in Terminal nothing will be echoed to the screen when you type your password... no characters, no dots, the cursor won't move... that's normal... it's a security safeguard.
Just type your password and press the return key.
However, you must be logged into your computer with an account that has administrator privileges. And it's asking for the password of the account you're logged in to.

Why won't Elements 10 accept my password when it did before?
I have tried numerous times to put in the password when opening Elements 10. It would not accept it. so I decided to get a new password. In filling out the outline they want you to click yes on the Personal URL. Meaning I assume that you put your pictures on the wed for others. I do not want this. Am I not understanding that. After my computer has been asleep and I touch my trackpad, it wakes enough to show my icon but not enough to acknowledge my keyboard or trackpad so I can type a password. It seems the only way to make it work it to turn it off the back button.
The reason, I included the annotation that I'd upgraded my Itunes, (On my Computer) is B/C in many forums - the very first question, *HELPERS* ask, is. "Do you have the latest version of Itunes downloaded on your computer." I wanted to knock out any obvious replies.
Now- "DO YOU have any idea,"... how your UNHELPFUL remarks, do absolutely nothing but hurt others that might not have the EXPERIENCE you have? How do you expect people to know things without asking questions? Whew! RUDE!!

Could you provide more detail on what you are doing? Using Mail? Does the keyboard appear when you touch the new Mail icon?
Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after It shuts down, press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds).
No data will be lost. -
When I boot into Win7 I see the windows boot up logo, the. I see my mouse and the screen goes black! It goes black in the login screen, I type my password and I hear the login sound but when I press F2 the brightness won't change! Please help!!!

I understand that your Thunderbolt display is just showing a black screen when you boot your computer. The following article should be of help in troubleshooting your display.

in other words I cannot log in to the site Mindbody, because when using Firefox when I start to type in my username the letters show up in the address bar above, and not in the username box. The same goes with the password box.

In the address bar where type the address of the web site at the top. after entering the address i press enter key from the keyboard but it doesn't work there . Means the page is not navigating towards the address. Kindly solve the problem
This issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Is this for text you've already typed? Did you select it first? If that's not it, for PSE 11 and 12 go to the far right of the tool options, click the four-lined square and choose Reset Tool. For PSE 10 and earlier go to the far left options bar, click the tiny triangle (or the tool icon for really old versions) and choose Reset Tool.

What version of iPhoto? Of the OS? what has changed since it worked? How are you trying to open it (clicking on the icon in the Dock, double clicking on the application in the applications folder, ???)?
Anything else you can tell a total stranger who can not see you or your computer to let them assist you?
