Why wont iMovie open my project?

This is extremely aggravating, iMovie suddenly wont open 2 of my projects. I was working on them for hours and finally got them how i wanted them to be, and when i go to open it later, it won't open! All that happens when I click on it is that it lets me change the name. Even worse, I tried to recreate the projects, I started working, left to do something else, and now it wont let me open one of them, and the other lost all my clips, (went from 10 minutes to 19 seconds). I checked around and tried all I could, deleting the preference file, i made sure the files where in the imovie folder, emptying space on imovie, and nothing works!! Please respond if you have any ideas........
P.S. it is the most updated version of imovie '11 9.0 on a macbook pro

Why does iMovie load every project when it opens?

The genius that I talked to in the Apple Store said that I needed to save my projects. But that does not seem possible.

It happens to me too. I think you might have to delete the footage that you are working on once you have completed and saved your movie. I noticed that whenever i deleted a clip, it would not load back with the other clips whenever i relaunched iMovie.

WHY WONT IT OPEN?

Okay I just got a nano today, and I had to update my iTunes and I did but it wont open at all.
I've tried everything I can think of, I uninstalled everything and reinstalled it, I restarted the computer, I don't have a virus, and I took down all my firewalls and pop-up blockers and it still wont open.
I seriously need help, I'm going to drive myself crazy if I don't figure this out.

Quicktime will open but it wont do anything. Like it opens to the home page but when i go to do something with it nothing happens, the pictures change but it wont go anywhere. but there are no error messages or anything.
that's odd behavior. on the other hand, the 10-15 second persistence of itunes.exe in Task Manager is a bit odd too. (usually it either shows up for 0-2 seconds or doesn't go away at all with an error-message-free launch failure.)
let's try doing a sweep for adware on the PC. you're not getting the classical symptoms of the most common variety of malware interference with itunes and quicktime (caused by Qoologic adware). but it's often worth checking on in cases of "intermediate duration" itunes.exe processes, coupled with an error-message-free launch failure.
try downloading and running the free trial version of Ewido, and scanning the PC. does that pick up any nasties?

Why wont imovie update my itunes library?

I wanted to to put a certain song on a movie I was making in Imovie so added into my itunes library, but when i went into imovie it wouldnt show up. I already Tried closing both imovie and itunes and dont know what to do to make it work.

That's interesting. I hadn't thought of it that way. I've always thought that when I posted a question, that question was mine. Why wont imovie let me fast forward?

I make youtube videos so I know how to use iMovie really well. anyways, I tried to fast forward a clip and the screen just becomes gray. I saw some other posts that said to make sure the timeline isn't wrapped. first of all, I don't know what that means. second of all, I don't think that's the issue because I haven't done anything different than what I always do.

Why wont lightroom open?

I purchased lightroom from office depot which was on a card with serial number. I was able to download it and used it several times. After 2 weeks, it would not open. Is the serial number only to be used a few times? I also downloaded some presets (i was able to use them once)- could that have caused a problem?

What version of Lightroom?
What operating system?
How much memory does your computer have?
Can you try removing the presets ... move them to a different folder and see if the problem goes away.
What presets did you download?
