i have the apple tv2. I was working ok,with no problems but now will not see my library. I have all my films music etc.. on a extl hard drive and my itunes is set to that file.
its wireless connected via my Bt home hub
I have tried restore , i have moved it to a new location . as i said i can get youtube and go to the itunes store but will not see my media files .
tried unplugging router, unplugged the apple tv, no success.
any other suggestions Winston?

I recently changed my password to my apple id and was able to log into everything fine except the icloud on my ipad. It reverted back to an old apple id and I don't know the password. I have tried all the suggestions and no luck.
You didn't say what you've tried, but f the old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

As stated no matter how hard i try i CANNOT get apps to appear in my sidebar library menu so i can update them through itunes.Has only happened since last update of itunes .Really wish i hadn't updated as i have never had an issue b4.Spent most of day on fone to apple yesterday as the update created an issue that meant i could not sync at all.Anyway thanks to 'james' in arizona we sorted the first piece of trouble the update created .(sortof).

I've looked at lots of posts re this and tried all the suggestions but just cannot get the magic 'apps' category to appear in my sidebar in itunes???
One suggestion was that the apps if clicked on would have an 'update ' button but all i can do is delete them

(running osx 10.7.5 on MBP -slightly tricky cos i also run windows in a 'bootcamped' partition.Mind u itunes etc is in mac partition and has been working fine for the last 10 years!!!!!!!!!)I'm going to assume that you use only one Apple ID so the two things that I can think of are to quite all processes and restart all devices and then try to sync those apps again. Quit iTunes, restart your computer and the iPad and then try to sync the apps again.
The other thing would be to try to reset your iTunes account by signing in and out of the account on the iPad. Settings>Store>Apple ID - tap the ID and sign out. Restart the iPad and then sign in to your account and try again. -
My PC repeatedly asks for authorization when opening I-tunes library (wont let me play tunes), have tried ALL the suggestions to remedy authorization but to no avail. Anyone got any other suggestions I could try please? I would have thought I-tunes itself should come up with a precise answer to this sort of problem after all this time??

In the new location, set up the Wi-Fi service with the same settings you used before. Click Apply and test. -

hi if you have a backup on your computer you could hold the lock button and homebutton for about....10 seconds the screen will flash and it will want to be connected to iTunes connect and restore it

Is there a real fix? I can't get imessage to work? I have tried all fixes listed? Ipad works fine sin iOS update, just issue with iPhone 5 and iOS 7.2?
This is a user forum. Why would you ask a question that only Apple could provide the answer?
FYI, I'm having no issues with the battery on my iDevice with iOS 7, nor does anyone I know. Don't hold your breath waiting for a fix to an issue that probably doesn't iexist. Have you bothered to read through the forums and try the recommendations provided to extend the battery life? -
I was trying to download a movie and then it said there was a problem connecting to the network , check your settings and try again (5) . I tried all the various suggestions already in the discussions including restore, restart, unplugging everything etc - still doesnt work. Any other new ideas? I bought my apple tv just a few days ago and am really annoyed its already run into problems
Reboot router, make sure it's up to date. If on wifi try ethernet. Make sure DNS is set to automatic (settings - general - network).

My apple tv quit working and I have done everythng listed on Apple's site as well as other help sites and nothing has fixed the problem. I have restarted and reset the apple tv, I have reinstalled itunes and I turned off and reset my router. All to no avail. Any suggetions?
Port is open and router recognizes the Apple TV. I noticed on the web that certain Apple TV's had problems and Apple was replacing the units. I am going to take the unit to the Apple Store and have the it checked to see if it is one of the units that don't work with the latest version of itunes.

I am getting a connection timeout occurred message on my mid-2009 macbook pro I am running mountain lion 10.8.2 but problem occured before and after update. The message only happens when i attempt to connect to the wifi at my university. It works normal at my home. This error just started last semester out the blue. I have read many forums and non have helped ive reset my pram a few times, ive deleted all my networks including my home network out of my system preferences<network and all that extra stuff. if anyone has a clue please help me because one of my classes requires me to take in class test over the internet. Issues send email from my macbook Pro, it is a web based email, and I can send it by logging into the webmail site. The odd part is that sometimes it just works and most times it does not. I go through and make some random changes and and then go back and change it back and it wold work for that email, and then a few minutes later I try to send another and does not work, try doing the same and this time it does not work, getting a little frustrated, what else can I do, except chage back to a windows based laptop?
If you're having trouble sending, but not receiving, mail, it's likely due to your outgoing (SMPT) server settings.
Which webmail service are you using? Some provide some good guidelines on setting up your account, some not so good.

After updating to ios 8 on my iphone 4s, all my music from iphone disappered. I tried all the suggestions, but I cant see music folder in the settings-general at all. I signed out of icloud as well, but still cannot sync with itune on my macbookpro. Can any one help?

Change how it syncs by enabling Manually manage music and videos, then you can drag and drop the music that you want on your iPhone. Revert it back to test to see if that resolves the issue.

How do I find music that has been uploaded to iTunes from a purchased CD and iTunes is “unable to find the original file?” I no longer have the CD. I have tried all the usual methods of looking in my iTunes library and through Find. No Luck.

If neither of the above and you don't have the CD and can't find your tracks on the computer then they you're stuck. A file recovery utility will cost $100, plus another $100 for an external drive to which to resue the files, and may not even work. You can buy a lot of CDs for $200. -

Having tried all the ways possible to get it working, contact your retailer again and politely tell them they did not yet satisfactorily resolve your trouble. Their Apple-Authorized Service Provider will be able to repair it.
