Itunes wont recognise my iphone, I went to connect to update the software of my iphone and it's not recognising my iphone now an errror meesage appears stating that it does not recognise my iphone?
I really dont want to restore back to factory settings and loose all my info!
Once the Device is asking to be Restored with iTunes... it is too late to save anything...
To minimise loss... Connect to iTunes on the computer you Usually Sync with and Restore from the most recent Backup...

What error do you receive when trying to activate?
Are you using the same Carrier as your friend, or a different one?
If different Carrier, are you certain the iPhone is unlocked? A locked device will of course prevent you from using SIM cards not from the Original Carrier that the device was locked too. -

I just tranfer all my photo from my Mac from itune to my Iphone so I can setup Mac back to factory setting after I don't with that, I try to put my photo back to my Mac and Iphoto did not detect any of the photo that I had tranfer from itune it only detect the one rhat i took with the Iphone PLAESE HELP!!!!!!

It sounds like you may use a POP account for your email. With a POP account, email applications like Mail and Outlook can remove emails from the server, so when another device tries to check the server for new emails, it doesn't see any.
You may need to adjust settings in Outlook so that the emails are not removed from the server when downloaded. I found an article with more information:
When using a POP email account with multiple devices, email messages may only appear on the first device that receives them. This occurs when an email client is configured to automatically remove email from the server once an email client has received it. You can configure your email client (or clients) either to keep a copy of the email on the server, remove it after a certain number of days have passed, or keep it until you move it from your Inbox.

Once you get it going you need to make sure you do the following so that you can sell the phone.
Turn off imessage in settings/messages
Turn off Facetime in settings/Facetime
Delete icloud account in settings/ilcoud
Erase all data and settings in settings/general/reset
Delete the phone from your profile in https://supportprofile.apple.com -

Windows can not identify that an iOS device is in recovery mode. Only iTunes can identify that.

if you have a Mac or a PC with iTunes installed you may be able to do this. If your screen is broken but your iPhone still reacts to touch you have to just turn it off, and if your iPhone doesn't respond to touch, you have to hold both home and power buttons for about 7 seconds (it might not work from the first try) so that it shuts down. Afterwards get your lightning to USB cable connected to the computer but not to the phone. You hold your phone's home button and while holding it, you connect it to the cable, iTunes should say something like "iTunes detected iPhone in recovery mode"and a window with a restore button should pop up. You click on the restore button and iTunes will walk you through the process afterwards. If the iPhone has Find my iPhone feature activated you will have to enter your Apple ID password at the activation process after the iPhone is restored.

Do a hard reset with a computer. Enter DFU mode, connect to iTunes, and it will say that our device is in "recovery mode". Then click restore.

Brand new iPhone 4 (unlocked), got it activated yesterday, and speakers doesn't work, did restore back to factory settings, not luck, any suggestions. This iPhone was purchased in US, currently in India, will Apple support in India?
There are many threads on this forum regarding speaker not working issues. You might try searching them. Hopefully you'll find the answer you need.

With apps, if I install an app on my iPhone that is also for iPad, it will go on my ipad, but if I delete the app on my iPhone it will not be deleted on my ipad. With photos, I have pictures on my ipad that are not on my iPhone and vice versa. With contacts, on my iPhone, everyone has their own ringtone, but on my ipad they're set to default. As I set up top, I am considering restoring it to default settings but are there other options (besides calling Apple)? I just want a second opinion.

My iPod touch is not charging, nor is it syncing with my commputer and iTunes. It will charge on the wall charger, and in the car, but not on the computer. My wife's iPod Nano syncs on the computer. I went in and reset my iPod Touch back to factory settings and now it will not let me get in unless I sync to iTunes on my computer. Well, it still will not connect thru the USB cord. Does anyone know what I should do to get this corrected? I want my iPod back.
