WiFi 3G IPad 2 not recognizing WiFi and only recognizing 3G. Have only had the device 4 days and was working until today. Now will not recognize WiFi and will only run on 3G.
Received new IPad 2 4 days a ago. Set-up WiFi on home network and 3G on At&T service all has been working until today. I turned 3G off Thursday so that WiFi was the primary source. Yesterday went to a friends house and IPad recognized WiFi and was able to use. Today not able to use WiFi at home only 3G. WiFi is working on my laptop so that is not the issue. Is there something that I am missing?
WiFi is on, but system is not recognizing it. I am not fimiliar with Ask feature, what is this? I have noticed from other posts that my WiFi indicator in the top left is grayed out. I have tried restore settings that some people have recommended. Sounds like alot of people are having problems with the newest launch of the IPad 2. I had put that I have the iOS 4.3.2 but it is iOS 4.3.3. Is there any problems with this operating system?

If your are syncing from a computer and iTunes you can go to the apps section and select which apps you want to go back onto your device when you sync it.

After doing a software update for iPhoto, some of the photos in my library appear distorted and stretched. I have tried repairing the library, rebuliding and repairing the thumbnails but they are still distorted. Has anyone else experienced this and found a solution?
What upgrade did you apply? As a test launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library. Import some photos and test to see if the same problem persists. Does it?

Brand new iPod 5 and periodically will pick up our home Wifi, but when it loses it, it's impossible to reset. Says "incorrect password" and it is the correct password. No issue at all with Android devices or anything else on Wifi. Only the iPod and an iPhone 4. My iPhone 6 had the same issue, but I was able to correct it by resetting the network. This "fix" doesn't work on the iPod or old iPhone. Just keeps saying "incorrect password" no matter what you do. Connection has been reset, passwords have been changed... Nothing fixes it. And both are operating on the latest iOS update. I just updated it. Still doesn't work. How crazy.

Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before? no
Try the following to rule out a software problem: (Not clear what you did)
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem. Since it connects to other networks that indicates a problem with your network

It seems that no browser will work. Firefox is my preferred browser but IE wont work either unless I use the restore function and then they work fine. However if I close my computer down for any reason they wont work and again I have to use the restore function. My email program works just fine (I use Agent) my ISP says there is no problem with my connection. My Firefox on my laptop works just fine and it uses the same connection as my desktop where the problem is.
This can be a problem with the file [http://kb.mozillazine.org/sessionstore.js sessionstore.js] and sessionstore.bak in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Profile Folder]
Delete [http://kb.mozillazine.org/sessionstore.js sessionstore.js] and sessionstore.bak in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Profile Folder]
If you see files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js then delete those as well.

I live in the USA, but have traveling in France and am now in England. My phone worked fine. When I arrived here I set my phone to the WiFi network where I'm staying. I have data roaming turned off. When I'm not at my place of residence, I have WiFi turned off, but my phone is constantly searcing for my carrier. I think this is what is drainging my phone. In the settings area, in the Carrier, it show to connect automatically and the and shows right below that , that it is searching constantly even though WiFi is turned off.
Also, my settings icon has disappeared from the main screen of my iphone 4. How do I get it back. My Google icon has also disappeared.
Thank you, NancyThe searching is not wi-fi related - it is searching for a cell network. You need to disable 3G and Cellular data uder Settings, General, Network.

Siri was working fine but now is not.
Have had my phone about two weeks. Siri was working fine last night. This morning it is not Trying to use it to do an email - the microphone lights up and it appears as if it is recording - the little dots appear - but it does not write out what I said. Since you purchased the device in the US, you are correct that the coverage is only good there. However, whether there was something wrong with the phone before, since you have dropped it, there is no way for Apple to know there was a problem before. If you were to visit an Apple store, after making an appointment, you may be offered an out of warranty replacement, but that would probably be it. Since you are only going to be in the US for a short period of time, you are stuck. Either find an Apple store, or leave it with someone in the states that can have it repaired/replaced and have them send it back to you.
You have found the biggest problem with purchasing devices outside of the country you are going to use them in. -

Sounds on my iPhone 4S just mysteriously disappeared today. They were gone when I woke up this morning. It's like somebody sneaked in the middle of the night and stole them. How do I get SOUNDS back on my iPhone. I searched several sites and read solutions from blowing air into connection port to putting phone in freezer. HOW do I get sounds back. Then perhaps while you have it off and disconnected from the power, give the output jack a quick shot of electronic cleaner, then run a jack plug in and out a few times and follow up with a short blast of dry air.

I think that is enough details to start with.
Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Please help, after seven uninstall/install porocesses for itunes and after 2 1/2 hours onthe phone to tech support, I am still no further forward. A brand new ipad and ipod and no music onetiher of them.
