Wifi connection issues after update
I recently was prompted to update my S4 and after it has been completed, I have issues with the phone recognizing and connecting to known routers that I use every day. I have the Wifi on all of the time and the two main routers that I connect to are at work and at home. If I leave my house, and go to work, my phone shows that it recognizes my work router, but does not automatically connect to it. The same scenario happens when I walk into my house; the phone recognizes the router, but won't automatically connect to it like it used to do. The only way that I have found that my phone will connect to both of these places is if I toggle the "wifi on/off" switch. Does anyone know how to make my phone automatically recognize and connect to known routers again?
And verizon is absolutely correct. Verizon provides cellular and data services and coverage for a monthly price.
Samsung is the maker of the devices and the operating system is done by Samsung/Google and then submitted to Verizon to eventually push out to their customers. Verizon is not responsible for a bad operating system update, Samsung is.
Like Apple devices, I personally applaud Apple for doing their own updates without Verizon it makes it easier to push out patches or fixes much quicker.
All phone manufacturers should be doing this so to have the carrier not get blamed for something beyond their control.
You wifi patch will come from Samsung.
Car analogy is not even valid in you Ford issue. The driver is responsible since they are the driver of the car.
Verizon is the car, Samsung is the motor that makes it run. Car won't run without a motor.
Good Luck

Is there a fix for the wifi connectivity issue after ios6 update?
Is there a fix for the wifi connectivity issue after ios6 update?
Cannot connect to any wifi since update to 6.0.1
How do I get update to 6.0.2?
Will that even help? Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app
• Tap on Wi-Fi
• Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Bluetooth connectivity issues after updating to OS X 10.10.3
I have been experiencing issues with bluetooth mouse connectivity (apple magic mouse) after updating OS X to 10.10.3. My Macbook Retina 15" pro (early 2013) keeps losing connection with the mouse. Switching the mouse on/off helps in re- establishing connection between the mouse and the laptop for a few seconds. I was under the impression that this update of Yosemite was intended to rectify bluetooth and wifi connectivity issues. Any suggestions/advice welcome.
Back up all data.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:

IPad 2 WiFi Connection Loss After Update To iOS 4.3.2
I've been watching with growing alarm the explosion of complaints of iPad 2 WiFi connectivity issues since the upgrade to iOS 4.3.2. My iPad is becoming almost unusable because of this issue, and this after flawless performance of the two iPad 2 32GB WiFi-only machines I bought 15 March 2011. All the suggested solutions I've read of do not solve the problem.
This is very disturbing, and I hope Apple addresses this soon.I also left feed back. I thought apple was also on this did not realize it was just user to user with change. Thanks Carolyn!

Bluetooth connection issues after update
Is anyone experiencing bluetooth connection issues after upgrading to iOS 8.1.3? I upgraded to iOS 8.1.3 and now it won't connect to my car bluetooth and my bluetooth speaker will sound like it has static from time to time.
Hi, joshzik.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.

Logic Remote connectivity issues after updating to iOS 8 (solved!)
Has anyone else has been experiencing connectivity issues with Logic Remote after updating to iOS 8?
After updating to iOS 8 I could no longer connect so I sent a feedback report to Apple and got a response that cleared up my problem immediately:
Navigate to the following directory on your desktop system running GarageBand:
~/Library/Containers/com.apple.garageband10/Data/Library/Preferences/
You can quickly navigate there using the “Go” menu in Finder -> Go To Folder (shift-command-G), then copy this path:
~/Library/Containers/com.apple.garageband10/Data/Library/Preferences/
In the Preferences folder should be a file named "com.apple.garageband10.cs”.
Make sure GarageBand is not running and delete the "com.apple.garageband10.cs” file.
Relaunch GarageBand and see if you should now be able to connect.
The same can be done for Logic by navigating to:
~/Library/Preferences/
And deleting "com.apple.logic.pro.cs" and restarting Logic.
Note that doing this will fix Logic Remote connectivity issues (and possibly other problems with latency and mixer functionality) but will also delete any other Controller settings that you've configured with Logic, if you happen to be using another controller of some sort. Thanks very much! This solved my connection problem.

Anyone having LTE connection issue after updating to 8.0.2.?
After updating my iPhone 5S to 8.0.2, I can no longer connect my phone to LTE but my iPhone 6 plus is fine. Anyone having the same issue?

From Loss of cellular service or ability to use Touch ID after updating to iOS 8.0.1 on iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus
The Health app won't work in iOS 8 after these steps. It will be fixed in our upcoming iOS 8.0.2 software update.
Last Modified: Sep 25, 2014
There is no IOS 8.0.2 out yet. There is no patch for iPhone5s.
This update is specific for iPhone6/6+ as indicated
Download the file below that corresponds to your device:
iPhone 6
iPhone 6 Plus
8.0.2 is out. But if it's true that 8.0.2 is only for iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus, WHY would it appear on devices that aren't 6 or 6 plus? I have two 6 phones and the update went fine. But the update also appeared on our iPad's, which I downloaded and that went fine as well. -
Wifi connection freeze after updated to 10.9.1
I have already upgraded my MBPr 15 inches mid 2912 to Mavericks 10.9.1 successfully. And it seems that everything is running fine.
However, without known reason, WiFI connection just hang and when I click on the WiFi icon on the Menu bar, it freeze and showing beach all. When I click Sysyem Preferences and go to Network pane, it also hang. I have to force quit it.
When I try to start Airport Utility, it also hang. When I click to shut down, the shut down process also hang at the gray screen with hourglass swirling.
I have to press Power button to restart my Mac and then WiFI and the rest start working normally.
This happen to me twice today. one time after wake from sleep, and another time when I plug in my Time Capsule to Thunderbolt port
What go wrong? Thus never happen is 10.9.0 and also all 10.9.1 seed built.

WiFi connections failing after update to 10.2.1
good day,
after upgrading the OS to 10.2.1, my Q5 stopped connecting to networks already saved (and was working for a couple of weeks) or started behaving strangely:
On a WEP (yes i still use this) link on a D-link router, it would connect but not obtain IP addresses. setting the IP address manually does not solve the problem and the link stays limited although every other devise works: 2 iPhones, an iPad, 2 Samsung Android phones, an Asus TF101 Android tablet, a Win8 Laptop, a Win7 laptop, and a WinXP laptop (yes we still keep one of these).
On a WPA2-Personal AES link on a Netgear WNR1000, it will simply not authenticate at all although I double checked the password.
whats happenning? and how can I fix it?
by the way, i'm a CCNA studying into CCNP so I KNOW networking.
regards,Hello,
Since what you request is downgrade (rather than trying to resolve the issue), here are two methods:

Does any-one experience wifi connection problems after update to ios5?
Since the update to IOS5 I have to do all my internet seaches via 3G network, since my iphone 3gs does not pick up the router anymore. All other devices still work with wifi, so it's not the router itself. Only the iphone does not recognize/connect anymore to my router or any other wireless network (I tried at university network and open city networks as well....)
I thought the update to ios 5.0.1 would have solved this problem as well (since it is obviously software related...my wifi worked perfectly under ios4) but it seems things have not improved at all.
Any-one else with this problem, or a solution?
Jeroen
PS: yes, i have re-set the iphone and the network connections in my iphone already.....Yes, after upgrading to 5.01 (I skipped 5.0) my iPhone 3G and iPad 1 have both lost the ability to connect to wi-fi networks even though they see them. I get a generic "unable to join the netwwork "name""). I have reset the devices, etc. This might explain why my iPhone battery life went from 2-3 days to less than a day now as the device is constantly trying to join my known networks but to no avail. No solution found yet. This is an Apple problem.

Macbook Pro WiFi connectivity issues since updating to Mavericks
I upgraded to the Mavericks OSX 10.9.1 and started seeing WiFi issues. The issues seem to happen when I have to wake up the system after closing the lid. I have an Airport Extreme router
I have been having the same problem. When my MacBook Pro running 10.9.1 (Mavericks) wakes up from sleep, whether from shutting the lid or inactivity, the Wi-Fi seaches for a network, but won't reconnect to my known home Wi-Fi network. When I try to select my network from the menu at the top-right of the screen, I get an error message after about 10 seconds saying that the network is unavailable. If I turn off Wi-Fi and turn it back on twice, I can then reconnect to my home Wi-Fi network. This is a very annoying problem. Please fix it in 10.9.2.

After upgrading to Yosemite, I lose my connect in SOAS, university of London. Overtime, it rejects me as Authentication fails in this network. Even the school technicianer cannot fix. I wonder how to downgrade or any solution? I never encounter this issue with Mavericks or the one before.
I also have the internet diagnostic report, but it is nonsense to me to read it.

Has anyone had WiFi connectivity issues at home with their iPhone 5 after accepting the recent IOS 8.0.2 update?
Yes, despite being it an iPhone5 (8.0.2) attempting to connect to an Airport Express.
In my case the iPhone "connects" to Airport Express 2nd generation, but no Internet packages are available; Airport Utility shows the Airport Express as not connected to the Internet; but the iMac, MBP, Motorola phone, Samsung Smart TV and HP printer connect without any trouble.
The actual issue is the DHCP :
sometimes the iPhone gets none, and
when an address is assigned it just doesn't work,
even renewing the address won't work all the times,
switching off and on the WiFi won't work all the times neither,
going on Airplane mode, then back won't work all the times.
Solutions attempted and failed:
Reseting and reconfiguring Airport Express;
Reseting iPhone;
Switching off and on the iPhone;
Setup the DHCP renewal for every 5 days;
Meditation and stark visualisation;
Other possible patch not yet attempted : setting fixed IP addresses
All suggestions received resemble Windows' "Plug & Pray"
I gave up after reading several notes around the WWW complaining about it.
Last credible suggestion : wait for 8.0.3 or 8.1, whichever fixes the issue first.
