WiFi Issues - Stops working all of a sudden - Ipod 4 32G
I wanted the community to be aware of an issue that hit me all of a sudden - my wifi connection on my iPod cease to stop working.
I have a iPod Touch 4, 32G, Windows 7 w/Netgear DSL modem & Router
Today, I was surfing the net with my iPod when all of a sudden I was disconnected. I tried to connect to back but was having problems. As time went by and nothing was happening, I was getting a little worried. My Wii, internet, my wife's iPhone and my 1st &2nd Gen iPods touch's were all connected and working normally but mine was not. I did absolutely everything possible. I went to the user forums and surfed all over to find a solution. In my research, I found that I wasn't the only one that was having this same issue. The only problem was there was no consensus on a solution.
After resetting, deleting, downloading and just about everything else you could do with an iPod, I decided to see if it was my router. I went into my router and set up a "guest" account and all of a sudden my iPod 4 could connect. I then reset my router and it is now working perfectly.
A lot of pain and trouble but the solution was just to reset the modem (in my case, I unplugged it).
This seems to be a strange issue with the iPod 4 as I am not the only one who has been hit with this issue. It has not affected any of my other apple devices except my iPod 4. There is something in how the iPod 4 and the router communicate and the easiest way is to restart your router (all other options did nothing for me)
Hopefully this will help someone out and prevent them from going through all the pain I did.
Hi, this seems like a very annoying problem. Unfortunatly, the community will need some more information to help assist you with this problem. Such as:
1) What programs? Are they resource intensive? I mean, if you are trying to run 4 video games or programs like photoshop and 3dsmax forget about it. And if you have 4 programs ALL attempting to write large amounts to the disk it will yeild a similar result. Usually large amounts of I/O are murder on PC's (by which I mean personal computers...), and of course if you don't have enough RAM its a moot point.
2) What are your specs? How much RAM do you have? What is the size of your virtual memory (page file)?
3) Have you cleared the various caches mac's have? I can't direct you to any good third party programs for mac's but I am sure there is a simple cache cleaner within your system.

Premiere elements 11 stopped working all of a sudden. Says "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly" I re-installed it but still the same.
I haven't installed any other apps except adobe reader and there were a few Windows updates but that was it. Some history - I had defraged my hard drive when this started to happen. If this is one of those Importer QuickTime type issues, the answers are few if any.
If you have not already tried
Have you attempted to delete the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file and, if necessary,
the whole 11.0 Folder in which it exists.
then, please try the following...
My expectations for the following are not high, but worth the time -
1 uninstall the usual Control Panel way - you might want to uninstall QuickTime at the same time.
2. free ccleaner run through (regular and registry parts)
CCleaner - Download
3. reinstall QuickTime and then Premiere Elements with anti-virus and firewall(s) disabled.
Others on the list...
1. Create a new User Account with Administrative Privileges and install and run Premiere Elements
from there.
2. Use a new set of installation files either from Adobe if you purchased the program from it as an online
download, or get tryout installation files for 11 into which you can insert your purchased serial number.

Its been a year i bought lapi. i hardly used it.. My laptop speakers stopped working all of a sudden. I think its coz i upgraded my os from windows 8 to 8.1 (automatically). Even though i upgraded it still askes for upgradation every time i switch on the laptop..

I will definitely assist you with the computer's issue regarding lack of sound from the speakers. Before anything else is done, please make sure you try every step in this thread: Troubleshooting Guide: Audio does not Work after a Certain Period of Time
If every step does not help, please provide the following information:
1. The computer's model number. If you require assistance locating this information, please reference this website: Guide to finding your notebook product number
2. The computer's operating system. If you require assistance locating this information, please reference this website to determine your Windows operating system.
3. Does this occur on certain programs, or all programs?
4. Have you installed any new software or drivers on this computer, before the issue appeared?
5. What steps have been attempted from my first post on this thread, and what were the results?
Additionally, if the issue just began occurring, I would perform a system restore. I want you to bring the computer back to the earliest restore point possible, in an attempt to dodge whatever caused the issue. Here is a document on how to perform a System Restore: System Restore

2nd Gen Time Capsule - will not power up - just stopped working all of a sudden - I have tried other power outlets - I have tried pressing the reset button - no light
The power supply is shot. But that it lasted even this long is the wonder.. not that it died.
The TC runs too hot..
Look on ebay for "Time Capsule power supply"
You can get a replacement and fix it although the economics are not so good.. it is probably time for a new TC.
If you can DIY it is really only a few dollars worth of capacitors that go bad.

3)do a power cycle
4)check whether the router gets an internet ip add now .. -

Why does my 9810's auto rotate stop working all of a sudden?

As said in title, the auto-rotate has ceased to work all of a sudden. I've tried removing the battery several times for total reboot and no luck, also tried drawing the keyboard back and forth and no dice. the other anomaly being the inability of recharging its battery with either 1A or 1.5A, wall socket dependant.
I am on the sixth month of use, the place I purchased this handset from is no longer exists so I have no idea how the promised 2 years warranty is supposed to be.

regardless of race, religion, social status, material, what notLet's make sure we're on the same page. When you remove your battery, is your phone turned on? Yes = proper battery pull, no = nothing will happen.
If your phone is turned ON, then it's time for an OS reload using BlackBerry Desktop Software.
Try that and post back with your results.

Video from "camera" stopped working all of a sudden
Using my ADVC-100, i'm importing old videos using a Toshiba VCR. I've successfully imported 20-some videos, and even used the nice new feature to upload a bunch of them to my YouTube account without a single issue.
Then today....suddenly, I cannot get iMovie 08 to import the video. I've tried everything. What it does now is, when I hit "Import", watch the video until I'm ready to stop it, hit "Stop", it just goes back to "Stop" or "Import". It does not go the the "Generating thumbnails"...it simply stops and does nothing.
I tried then switching to importing from the iSight, and it worked fine.
What baffles me is that I did absolutely nothing since the last several video tapes that I imported.
Does anyone have any idea what possibly could be going on? I've rebooted the program several times to no avail.
Thanks in advance...One thing I noticed is that when I click "Import" it says in the upper left hand corner "Ready to Import" even though the counter is counting and it says "REC" and the red light is on.
There is one thing that I did do since the last import. Since iMovie 08 has no "slow motion" effects, I downloaded iMovie HD and used that to build a project.
I quit out of HD before re-launching 08.
Now I did try just now to import the video using HD, but that did not work at all.
I'm still confused as to why all week I've been importing video after video, and now it arbitrarily stops working.

Desktop Software Stopped working all of the sudden..
All of the sudden I got a windows message saying "Blackberry Desktop Software has stopped working" (A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.) I un-installed and re-installed the program and the same thing continues to happen. I have no idea what's going on. Has this ever happened to anyone else? Can someone help me out?
It happens to me too just now. I just had my laptop upgraded. before, i have it installed successfully without any problems encountered. in fact I was able to use it early yesterday before i upgraded my laptop. just now, when im trying to install the pc software, while installig it, it just gives a notification that it stopped. but later will show that i have successfully installed. but once you click to open the icon, it shows "Blackberry Desktop Software has stopped working". same with you i uninstall reinstall for 4x now, but still it isnt working.I even though it might be with my net connection, but it is not. I hope someone could help us.

I used to always use my personal hotspot and connect to the internet on my laptop. Then one day it stopped working. I updated my phone so my hotspot password changed, so I changed that in the properties. It now says it's connected to my iPhone and there's internet access, but when I try to do anything it says not connected.
It shows a connection. When using wifi n USB. I don't know how to connect using Bluetooth seeing what it says to do is totally different from my computer.
I do have a connection but I can only connect to some sites, I tried YouTube n nfl.com n they both worked but google, hotmail n Facebook said couldn't connect.
I tried using safari on my computer n like explorer I could only connect to a few different websites. -
Internet stopped working all of the sudden
I have a WRT54G router connected to my iMac and Mac Book, everything was working fine for the past three months, and all of the sudden no Internet either wirelessly or from a port.
If I connect my PC directly to the modem I can connect to the Internet. The Internet and port lights are turned on on the router. I can login to the router, but when I check the IP address it just shows 0.0.0.0, tried doing a DHCP release\ renew on the router, but nothing. Also, cannot ping any sites from the router.
These are the toubleshooting steps I've taken to try to fix the problem:
Restarted both the modem and the router.
Tried using a different ethernet cable from the modem to the router.
Reset the router.
Upgraded to latest firmware.
I have Comcast cable as my ISP. Has anyone seen this before? Thought I'd get some feedback before I call support.

CTRL + Z stops working all of a sudden???????????
like it says in the title, after a while (usually 5-20 minutes of working in PS CS4 registered version) CTRL + Z keyboard shortcut stops working (instead of doing the usual UNDO it changes image to CMYK mode) as well as ALL OTHER KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS (for example bracket keys [ and ] dont increase/decrease brush size, they just dont do anything).
All of this happens randomly, but never since the beggining of work, always somewhere after 5-20 minutes, probably after a certain operation in Photoshop, applying some filter effects or similar.
Does anyone else have this problem?

Hot-keys can be touchy subjects, as many different programs map them differently. However, that said, Ctrl-Z has been a very common hot-key with Windows and Windows programs for some time now. I would find it highly unlikely that any Windows program nowadays would map it to anything else. Still, some programs are rather rogue, so it would not be impossible to imagine that something is re-mapping the key-combo, and maybe sometimes after you have started PS.
What I would also look into would be your memory/resources, and maybe their being filled up. PS offers the ability to Purge Memory. I'd try that, and see if things get back to normal. Obviously, you will lose that last Redo, in the process, but you should then be able to check things out, with the next Redo.
Good luck, and hope that someone has a real cure for this - just because I know nothing of this behavior doesn't mean that there isn't some Bug, lurking just below the surface, and I missed it.
