Wiki calendars stuck at AM PM time format

Hi,
I was wondering how to set the wiki (web) calendars to a 24 hour time format. It is set at Europe/Amsterdam in the settings but still there is only the AM PM time when entering an event. It does however import correctly into iCal on clients computers. The thing is we want to be able to use the webbased version too.. and nobody in europe uses AM/PM format. I can't for the life of me discover how to change that..
Help would be greatly appreciated.

Nobody, as the same situation is in Mountain Lion

  • Wiki Calendars, time issues

    Hi!
Im trying to set up some kind of booking solution, where our teachers could book our big concert hall when they need it, online. I looked into it and Web service offered all I needed, I use Wiki calendar to do this, easy to use. But, few annoying details came up:
    1) Even when I select our timezone an timeformat in the calendar (Europe / Finland / Helsinki), I can't get rid of the 12hour clock system so all the times are in am and pm format. Our teachers would be much more comfortable with the 24 hour clock.
    2) You can only schedule for 30 minutes minimum. Some of our teachers book the hall for just 15 minutes for a quick practice with student, so I was wondering if there is possibility to get our calendar to allow 15 minutes.
Is there something I can do about this, or is it just the way it is and thats it?
    Sincerely,
    V

Unfortunately, the only way I was able to get it working again was doing a clean reinstall by erasing the hard drive using Disk Utility and reinstall from scratch. You will loose all the information you have set up so far.
Sorry for the bad news. Perhaps someone else has found a way to uninstall and reinstall only OpenDirectory? But from what I have read it appears that OpenDirectory reconfigures your server so drastically, that it can't be undone.

  • Day timer format calendar

Does anyone know of software that can create what you can do with Calendar but in a week at a glance day timer format? IE - a 5 x 7 size with photos on the left and a week calendar on the right?
    Thanks!

No I do not - but it sounds like a good suggestion for Apple - iPhoto menu ==> provide iPhoto feedback

  • Can you set a time range in the wiki calendar?

I think the wiki calendar is a great feature in 10.5 Server, however I am annoyed by one problem. I can't figure out a way to limit the time on a wiki to say 8am to 5pm. I would like to use this as a class calendar page on the wiki, but it is really annoying to have to scroll through 24 hour days. Does anyone know a way to do this? It would be great if Apple allows us to edit the time being shown on the wiki.
    Thanks,
    David

    Hi,
I don't have Leopard here to try it with the wiki, but with Tiger I can publish a user calender to the iCal server after setting the time period in iCal client preferences. The times out of range are greyed out. When I subscribe with a different Tiger client those same periods remain greyed out.
Since Tiger can only read calendars I can't test the wiki interaction yet. This tells me that the iCal server can respect time periods once set.
    Another data point.

  • Calendar time format and week start format

Even though I have the time format set to 12H it displays as if it was 24H in the calendar:
Also, is there any way to change the format of the date picker? We want the week to start on Sunday instead of Monday:

    Hi,
    1. Tested in 8.81 and 8.82 versions that, the time format in general settings does not apply to calendar time format. Changes applicable only to documents
    2. You can change starting of week through calendar form settings. But selection of date still appears from Monday.

  • Wiki calendar pages can't be accessed

After the most recent server and security updates, no one is able to access the calendars through the wiki web sites. Everything else on the sites are accessible but on the home page under "Upcoming Events" shows a message "Unable to access calendar, because an error occurred" and when we attempt to access the calendar, the page is grayed out and it is stuck at "getting events from server" with the spinning wheel. We are not using group calendars, just individual calendars through the wiki web pages. Is this happening to anyone else?

    Idem
i just can't access the wiki calendar.
But I can access calendars linked with individual accounts (from the "my page")
i have some other issues with individual calendars in ical clients : randomly an connection error occurs, and most of time it takes loads of time to update at opening and/or after editing.
    I get this :
    +Le serveur a répondu+
    +« HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error »+
    +à l’opération CalDAVRefreshDelegateListQueueableOperation.+
I don't know if both problems are linked together or not.

  • CONTACT NAMES NOT DISPLAYING & TIME FORMAT CHANGING AFTER SYNC

i live in kuwait and i was just gifted an officially unlocked 3g iphone from new zealand. i upgraded to 2.1. i have 2 problems
    1. i have synced my contacts from address book. the format that it is stored in is +965XXXXXX. 965 is the country code for kuwait and all numbers in kuwait are of 7 digits. there is no area code as this is a small country. when someone calls me their name does not appear. only the number appears
    2. i have set the time format on the iphone to the 24 hour format but every time i sync with my macbook the time format changes to 12 hour format.

Follow this procedure to get your contacts back (I assume they are on your Mac/PC):
    1. Go to Settings, then Mail, Contacts, Calendars
    2. Select your account which has the contacts you wish to sync
    3. Turn syncing for Contacts to "Off". This will bring up a box telling you your iPhone is turning off Contacts. My iPhone actually hung at this stage, so after several minutes, I performed a hard restart (holding down Home and power buttons for 5 sec.)
    4. Exit from Settings
    5. Go to Settings, then Mail, Contacts, Calendars
    6. Select your account which has the contacts you wish to sync
    7. Turn syncing for Contacts to "On". This should restore your contacts
    8. Go to Contacts to verify. They initially may not appear or just show up as numbers for a second or two, but then your contacts should appear.

  • Lost Wiki calendars after upgrade to 10.6.4

    Hi,
After upgrade my clients to 10.6.4 we are not be able to connect to our Wiki calendars using iCal client.
    The original path was:
    /principals/wikis/WIKI-NAME/
But now it says the client is not able to connect to:
    /principals/_uids_/8a8be0fd-f969-5760-bef6-a73ad4ae3aa1/
If we recreate the subscription, the first time iCal is able to access to the calendar data, using the original path, but after close and restart the client, it modifies the path and uses the new path value (/principals/_uids_/8a8be0fd-f969-5760-bef6-a73ad4ae3aa1/)
In the caldavd error log says:
[AMP,client] [twistedcaldav.directory.principal#error] No principal found for UID: 8a8be0fd-f969-5760-bef6-a73ad4ae3aa1
We do not have this kind of problems with our Leopard (10.5.8) iCal clients or using the web page.
Thanks in advance for any help.

A followup from my post here: http://discussions.apple.com/messageview.jspa?messageID=11686666&stqc=true
Looking at server debug error logs in Info mode, it appears that when querying for the group's HEX UID, the server does the following process:
    - Creates a wiki record for the GUID in Memcache; the correct data appears to be passed from the wiki entry
    - Checks state of GUID, fails to find it
    - Removes memcache data
    - Returns "Not Found" to the client
Anyone know why the Twisted is failing to successfully create the Memcache entry?

  • Changing TimeZone for Calendar object doesnt change its time

Hy, I have a Calendar object with I have set with a Date but I I want from this calendar with the Date set, set other timezone for this calendar and get the corresponding time(always gettting the correct time if is in daylightsavings) but I get the same time.
    Calendar calendario = Calendar.getInstance
    calendario.setTime(new Date());
    System.out.println(calendario.getTime()); *// for example I get the 14:12:25 hours for GMT+01:00*
calendario.setTimeZone(TimeZone.getTimeZone("GMT+02:00")); *//change time zone using GMT*
    System.out.println(calendario.getTime()); *// I get the same hour: 14:12:25*
Why? How to do it using GMT format?
    Thanks

Ok, thanks. The last question, this changing of timezone and the hour I am getting, is respecting the timezone daylight saving?, I mean if the TimeZone I set is in daylight savings, I will get the correct hour according to this? What DrClap said.
However, I think you still may be under some misapprehension about time zones:
    1. A Date does NOT have a timezone, even though it stores a date/time value.
    2. Setting a Calendar's timezone does NOT change the time stored in the Calendar. You may even need to run its complete() or computeFields() method to have the timezone change reflected in all its fields (not sure).
    3. As DrClap said, if you are using a DateFormat to display the Calendar, you need to set its* timezone in order to see what you want (for reason 2 above).
It's amazing to me that after 10 years this API still gives so many problems (and believe me, you're not the only one).
One thing you might also want to do is have a look at [url http://joda-time.sourceforge.net/]Joda Time. It's been around for a long time now, and so is quite mature; and is fully interchangeable with standard Java date/time classes. In fact, many of its ideas were under consideration for Java Version 7 as JSR-310, but were decided against (still not quite sure why, as in my view the current API is very poor).

The availability in ConsoleOne with GW6.0 is confirmed. Now, since it seems to be gone with GW8.0, how would someone deal with the need of a central adjustment of this setting? At time I am running through the firm with setting this at the users workplace in the GW8.0-Client under Tools/Options/Calendar/Date-Time with hitting the button "Set to System" (or something like that - I have it in German).

Does anyone besides me find it odd that calendar.app assigns a start time for an all day event?

    Hi SharpBud,
The date for all day event stored in SQL in GMT time, the start time for an all day event returns the start time in GMT time, which is not the current time most likely.
This is a confirmed issue, as a workaround, I would suggest you to use a calculate column for the event for the column, using the following format:
    IF(TEXT(([End Time]-[Start Time])-TRUNC(([End Time]-[Start Time]),0),"0.000000000")="0.999305556",IF([Start Time]=ROUND([Start Time],0),[Start Time],DATE(YEAR([Start Time]),MONTH([Start

  • Edit events in iCal on Wiki calendar

I know that it's by default not supported, the editing of events from the Wiki calendar in iCal, but still I wanna know if there's a work around.
Does anybody know if there's a work around, coding-wise, programming-wise or whatever-wise, to be able to edit events from the Wiki calendar in iCal?
Now I get a message every time I wanna edit an event that i can't edit it from iCal. But I want other people who sign up to the calendar also to be able to edit the events from their own calendar program.

    Hello there skier3,
You should be able to edit an event in the Calendars app by tapping the event in quuestion and then tapping edit shown here:
iCloud: Using iCloud Calendars with Calendar and iCal
Tap the event to display event details, including the name of the calendar that contains the event:
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

  • Printing Calendar shows ellipses for event times

We generate a .ics file from your database which users can then subscribe to. Recently, we noticed that when trying to print our calendar from iCal, the event times just show up as ... rather than showing the time. This does not happen for any other calendars, just our one that you can subscribe to. We are using proper ical format to generate our calendar, so I have no idea why this would be happening. Has anyone seen this before?
    webcal://www.puc.edu/news/calendar/puc.ics

Yes. This has to do with one or more all-day recurring events that synced over from Outlook 2003 improperly. It seems to be a bug.
In order to fix this, you will have to look at the iPhone calendar and start browsing backwards (monthly view is most convenient) until you find the first day that shows no event (that has no dot in it). If you go back far enough, you should find one.
When you find the first day that shows no event, start browsing forwards until you find the first blank day that shows an event. This will be the first instance of the "bug".
When you find that day, start looking back to the day(s) before, and you will likely find an all-day recurring event (like a birthday, anniversary, etc.). Open the event, and look at the event dates. If the date is February 5, it should read Feb 5 to Feb 5. On my iPhone, it read Feb 5 to Feb 4. That end date was the day before. I manually fixed it to say Feb 5, and when I came back out of the event edit screen, that fixed the problem.
You may notice the problem reappear in future months. That is because there are other recurring events with the same problem. Unfortunately, the only way I found to fix this was to find each one with the technique I describe above, and fix them one by one. I was unable to fix them in Outlook (as they looked OK in Outlook), and there is no search feature on the iPhone to look for these.
