Will apps from multiple accounts sync on one device

When I first started using iTunes I was too young to have an iTunes account so I used my mums to make purchases to sync to my iPad via the computer. A few years later I had created my own account when I got my laptop mainly to purchase movies to watch and music for my iPod however the email I used I no longer use as it keeps getting spammed.
I recently purchased a new iPad via the apple store(waiting for delivery) which I made a new apple account for what I am wondering is that as I did all of my app syncs for my old iPad via my computer all my apps are on my iTunes on my laptop however I was wondering if I were able to sync up my apps, music and new apps to my new device via my laptop without issue as they have come from multiple accounts.

As long as there are five or fewer Apple IDs involved, you won't have a problem syncing the content. Note that the applications can only be updated from the Apple ID used to download them, and this may also apply to in-app purchases.

  • Using apps from MULTIPLE accounts on single iPhone

    Hello,
I have two different accounts with Apple (one for the Portuguese and another for the Dutch store) to have access to apps that are only available to specific countries/markets. With iOS 4 I was able to purchase and run apps from either store without any problem.
After I installed iOS 5, I can only run apps that are available to the store that I am logged in at the moment. The apps from the other store just quit/stop right after starting.
Is anyone else having the same problem? How do we fix it?
    Thank you!

At first I tried to connect on facetime from my imac account to my MBP computer but was unsuccessful because I suspect I was using the same email for both.
Then I activated facetime on the imac for my wife who has an account on the imac and then tried from the MBP to connect to her account on the imac and am unable to do so. I can use her account on the imac to connect to my mbp.
Has anyone else been able to make such a connection. It would seem to me that it does not matter which account on the imac one is using.
    Thanks,

I have made successful FaceTime connections both to and from every possible combination of my iPod touch, Mac Pro, and MacBook Pro.
In order to connect FaceTime between different devices, each device must have a unique identity.
For Macs and iPods touch, these identities must be unique Apple iDs. If you have done this and can connect in one direction but not the other, check the typing carefully. One of the devices may have an error in the correct contact info.

  • Apps from multiple accounts

I'm sure this is posted somewhere, but my searches didn't come up with anything. My dad just got an iPad. My sister's had an iPod touch for a while. How can they share apps, while his name/account is the one that the iPad recognizes? This applies to multiple accounts as well (my account and my mom's account).

One computer and one account can accomodate as many iOS devices as you like; legally, as many as are in your family household.
There are a lot of variations of "multiple accounts" i.e. more than one Apple ID, more than one iTunes Library, more than one computer or loging account to a single computer, etc You should do some research and then if you have specific questions, come back here. Here are some places to start:

  • Sending Email from Multiple Accounts, not just one.

I have 3 email accounts set up on my iPhone, 1 Gmail, 2 two POP accounts.
For example if I get an email from Gmail, I check it in the phone and hit reply it goes out, from Gmail.
If I view an email in another POP account (NONGMAIL) and hit reply, the reply is sent from my GMail address. What gives?
If you reply to a message from another account shouldn't it go from that account? I don't want to be responding to work emails with my Gmail address.
Does the iPhone only support 1 account to send email? I tried changing the default account that did nothing using the mail client. Anyone else have this issue.

I'm having my issue. I have a gmail and an IMAP account set up on my phone.
When I have my default mail set to my gmail account, and I go into either inbox of my iphone's email application and send to a third email address, the emails appear to be coming from my gmail account.
When I change my default mail to be my IMAP account, the email STILL appears to be coming from my gmail account, no matter which account I send from.
The punchline is that, with either account set to default and sending from either account, the copy that I BCC to myself ends up being sent to BOTH email accounts.
    Any idea what's going on?

  • How do I get music from multiple accounts all into one?

I'm afraid of deleting music and not being able to get it again. My music that I listen to is very important to me. One account is already verified on 5 computers so I can't verify it anymore. I NEED to find out how to somehow get all my music that is on my current iphone into ONE account so that I can transfer it to a new iphone. Is there any way to do this without plugging it into a computer?
By the way I think my music is all from like 4 or 5 accounts. (All mine.)

    Hello ithayne15
Currently, there is not a way to put multiple purchases from different Apple ID’s onto one Apple ID. If you need to authorize another computer and our out of Authorizations because you do not have access to older computers that no longer work, you can do a deauthorize all and then start authorizing the computers that you currently have.

  • How to delete apps from multiple devices?

I have multiple IOS devices that share a single Apple-id.  Is there a way to delete the app from all IOS devices automatically, or do I have to delete it from each device?
Also, why do deleted APPs come back when the devices are sync'd (via cable) to my Mac?
    Brian

Regarding your first question, I believe you have to delete them from each device --- unless you first delete the app from iTunes, then sync your i-device using iTunes.
Regarding the second question, the key is to delete the app from iTunes on your Mac.  That would end the undesireable behavior.

  • When one or more family members who have been sharing one iTunes account wants to create their own iTunes account can they each upload the music/apps from the shared iTunes on their devices to the new iTunes account?

When one or more family members who have been sharing one iTunes account wants to create their own iTunes account can they each upload the music/apps from the shared iTunes on their devices to the new iTunes account?

Yes. I would clarify your statement about the "shared" iTunes Library though. If you want each iOS device to have its own music library, you should create separate user accounts for them. Read:
iTunes: How to share music between different accounts on a single computer

  • Can I use Apple Configurator 1.6 to install Apps from multiple iTunes accounts on 30 iPads

Can I use Apple Configurator 1.6 to install Apps from multiple iTunes accounts on 30 iPads in South Korea?

Thank you again.  I am actually just using a single computer at thsi time but will be setting up a Mac Mini in a day or so.
I actually believe I authorized my Mac Book for both my wife and my iTunes account.  Yesterday when I hooked her iPhone up it told me that my computer was not authorized to download an app, i had to authorize this macbook.
So if the Apps from both iTunes account  is on my Mac Book and I hook up my iPhone it will allow my to transfer the apps from my computer to my iphone?  So lets say I am logged into iTunes account #1 and I try to use an app from iTunes account #2 will I have to do anything special?
    Again thanks

Can I access music from multiple accounts on one cpu

    Here's one option: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH12366
But frankly you'd be better off creating unique user accounts on the computer and having seperate iTunes libraries for each user as described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1495

If you turned off Contacts wouldnt that mean that the Contacts would no longer be backed up to iCloud as well? That would make it a pain when upgrading a phone to not easily pull contacts back down.

  • We have 2 ipods and 1 ipad with different apps all synced to one computer.  How do I prevent these apps from automatically being synced to all three devices each time I do a backup/sync?

We have 2 ipods and 1 ipad with different apps all synced to one computer.  How do I prevent these apps from automatically being synced to all three devices each time I do a backup/sync?

Uncheck the option to automatically sync new apps to the device.
Other than that, syncing is by device.
Connect one device, tell iTunes what to sync, then sync.
    Connect second device, repeat.
    Connect third device, repeat.

  • Installing a LOB App for Multiple Accounts On The Same Surface Device

    Hi,
When installing apps to iOS & Android there is no concept of a local user account, and an app can only be installed once. For Windows devices, a single device can have multiple accounts. Those accounts can be local or domain and have administrator privileges
    or not.
We are planning to use the Device Enrollment Manager concept in Intune to enroll approximately 200 non-domain joined devices. Each device will have two local accounts - one in English and one in French. We have a LOB Windows App that works in both
languages. We do not want the local accounts with the App to have administrative permission.
It seems you need local administrator permission to enroll the device. If I then install the app from this account, it works. However, I need the app installed on the local English and local French account.
When I log locally into the device using a standard account and log into the Company Portal, it shows the app as installed. It is not, however, installed for that user and is not accessible. Note that I'm using the same Intune account. It is only available
to the local administrator account. The only option I have is 'Re-Install'. When I select that, nothing happens - it is stuck in the "Installing..." state.
If I only enroll the device using the local administrator account and then log into the local standard account to install the app, it doesn't show as installed. When I choose to install it, it gets stuck on Installing.
    I'm missing something here...
Is it possible to install an App from Intune more than once on a Surface device? Do the Intune accounts need to be unique per-install? Is it possible to install the app without local administrator permission?
    Thank you!
    -jd

    An update. If I:
Enroll a Windows Surface using a local admin account
Request to install an app from a local standard account it appears stuck on Installing...
Log back in as the local admin account and wait, the app appears.
    Questions:
Can the same app be installed into multiple local accounts on the same device? It doesn't look like it.
Is the local account used when the device is enrolled the only local account that will install Intune apps?
    -jd

  • I have got a lot of apps, which are not installed on any of my iDevices anymore. is there a possibility to remove all those apps from iTunes without searching which ones are, and which ones aren't installed on one of my iDevices?

I have got a lot of apps, which are not installed on any of my iDevices anymore. is there a possibility to remove all those apps from iTunes without searching which ones are, and which ones aren't installed on one of my iDevices?

Assuming all the device(s) have been synced to this computer as its Home computer. The easiest way would be to delete all the apps from iTunes. After which connect your device(s) to the computer (iTunes) and transfer purchases from the device(s) by right click (control click) the device name in the left sidebar and the click transfer purchases. When done only the apps on your device(s) will be in you iTunes library.
    Hope that helps

  • Receiving Email from Multiple Accounts?

Is there some way of receiving email from multiple accounts in one centralized account? It was automatic with my Blackberry. Having to switch back and forth between accounts is a pain, and potentially dangerous if driving. If the iPhone email app can't do it, is there a third-party app that can?
    Thanks.

No, there's not. Email accounts are kept separate on the iPhone.
Having to switch back and forth between accounts is a pain, and potentially dangerous if driving.
As opposed to just reading your email all accumulated into one inbox while driving - that's perfectly safe, right?? I'm sure not having to switch from one email account to another while driving frees up your attention for more important things, such as reading the newspaper or doing a crossword puzzle.
Please consider adding a location to your profile so I know which roads to avoid...

You can sync them under apps on iTunes if they are in your iTunes library.
