Will I need to take my mac in with me for each one to one session i sign up for or can I count on being able to use the machines in the store ?
I hate the thought of having to do a complete disconnect each time I go for a one to one or group tutorial. My assumption is that other than an issue with my specific content the basic teaching can be on any of the apple products utilizing the software that came on my machine.
Is this a fair assumption and do I need to contact the store about this before I show up for a session?

I had this exact issue. However, I was not even able to "see" the pending downloads when I tried fixing them using the solution above.
In another thread, I saw that someone mentioned an issue with the use of the "&" (ampersand) symbol in your appleID information. I had recently changed my name and it did include the & symbol in my name (not the appleID itself). I replaced the ampersand with the word "and" and saved. I then went to the iTunes store and logged into my account there and made the same change on my billing name.
Voila! I could now access the 7 pending downloads on my desktop Mac and download them, and all iPhone/iPad/Ipods were again able to download from the app store.
incidentally, I had several support tickets open on this issue and never once did the Apple person even suggest that this might be the issue. -

As a graphic design student I wanted to own a laptop that was capable of running Adobe programs and games, but I bought a 2014 Macbook Air; 128GB of storage, 4GB of memory, and runs at 1.4 Ghz. Can both an intel and a PPC mac use time machine on the same TC?
I just got a TC and have successfully used time machine with a MBP. I was about to install Leopard on my PPC eMac in order to use time machine on the TC but I wondered if they could both use the TC hard drive as it is currently formatted.
As I recall, intel macs use journaled GUID and PPC machines use another format.
Am I deluded?I don't think there is a problem, and I believe others have reported in these forums that they're doing it.
There is a lot of confusion in this area compounded by a number of people who say that some of the Apple KB articles are wrong/misleading.
But in this case it's more a case of it doesn't matter - here is why.....
The Time Capsule disk comes formatted, you can erase the disk via the Airport Utility. That's the closest you can come to formatting and you don't have options - so it does whatever it needs to do to get it right.
The machines being backed up don't access the Time Capsule's disk(s) directly as they do on a locally attached disk. They do it via AFP network disk protocol and the Time Capsule disk is in effect insulated from the machine being backed up.
(As an aside, it's because of this - the differences in what can be done over AFP - that the Time Capsule stores the backups in a different file format)
If you add a USB attached drive to the Time Capsule you can also erase it with the Airport Utility as above. In my case, I've attached a USB drive to my Time Capsule. I never had the Time Capsule erase it, but before attaching it I attached it locally and formatted it GUID and HFSJ and it work just fine when attached to the Time Capsule. Does it have to be formatted that way - I don't know - all I know is in this one case what I did works which doesn't prove it has to be that way.

1) I have multiple accounts at the iTunes store and none are now associated with my purchases...I think because passwords have been associated with various id’s and I can’t log in and access those purchases. I want to get back to being able to use one id and password and be able to access those purchases.
2) When I upgraded my iPhone 3gs, to the latest version 5.0.1 (9A405), is when I noticed that i couldn’t update my applications. There are two names/accounts on the phone and prior to the update there was just the one. I have tried entering every conceivable password that I have ever used and get the incorrect password error every time. The apps on the iPhone are apparently associated with several/different accounts. I just want to get everything back to the way it was. If you have a WiFi network at home, the MBA should easily connect to the Mac mini or vice-versa for anything from file sharing, oprical disc sharing, or even screen sharing. Start in System Preferences > Sharing and turn on the desired services. In that same panel you can choose whether that access is for all users or for specific user accounts on the particular system.
Then go to the other computer and open Finder then look under "shared" and select the computer you want to share. If you have activated screen sharing as well as file sharing you will actually have logon to both shares using the user account and password for the user you specified on the other machine. -
I am using a Mac OS X 10.7 and i have trouble using idvd. If I buy a previous version of ilife, will I be able to use idvd without affecting the settings of Mac OS X 10.7? Can both versions of ilife run on the same mac?
You don't need to buy an earlier version of iDVD to have it run with Lion. iDVD 7 has been with us since iLife 08. Tell us in detail what you're experiencing.

You should post in the SL forum for more help.
Since you're using SL, you should be able to sync using iSync application or iTunes. I'm not familiar with it, but I know it can be done.
And yes, if you install Lion and use iCloud, you will be able to sync iCal between all devices. Once set up, whatever change made on one automatically updates the other. Same for AddressBook. -
please help, i have smashed my iphone 4 and the screen is black, but phone is still turned on and ringing. i had set it up icloud on my phone and pc before hand but not sure if i did it correctly as no photos are showing up on my pc, is there anyway i can get the photos from my phone to icloud via the pc, not being able to use the phone atall? or would i need to go on setting on the phone? please help i really need the photos of my children
Don't try to use iCloud for this. Instead, import them to your computer using your usb cable as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083. That will import photos and videos from your camera roll. You might also want to back it up before repairing or replacing it. You can do this by connecting it to your computer, opening iTunes, then going to File>Devices>Back Up; and to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases. This backup can later be restored to your repaired or replaced phone to recover your data.

There has been "talk" on and off of Apple TV doing it (and people have done it with a hack), but I haven't really followed it.
It would be a whole lot cheaper getting an adapter (as needed) and cable and simply pluggin it in when you're in the kitchen. -
I can't use air play mirroring because my mac 21.5-inch is a Mid 2010... is there any way I can full fill the requirements and being able to use it? an upgrade or something??

I have an older macbook pro and the hard drive is starting to go (making loud noises). i tried to back up to an external hard drive (my passport essential se) using time machine and the computer keeps shutting down. the same thing happens when just trying to save my pictures from iphoto to a flash drive. suggestions to complete backup please?
Sounds like you'll need to access that drive while it is not booted. You need to replace it anyway, so do that, then one way or another (ext enclusure, et), access it and copy files.
If you keep trying to boot it, you might kill it for good and not get your files, so just swap it out first. -

I believe because you migrated from a Nokia to an iPhone you need to register the Bn phone number with your Apple ID so it can be used for iMessage. The Pn number seems to be the only one registered
