Will Logitech Wireless keyboard/mouse work in lid closed mode?
I know you are supposed to plug in a USB keyboard and mouse to get the MacBook to work in lid closed mode.
Is it a strict requirement to be USB wired? Or will the Logitech wireless desktop be sufficient (with radio dongle plugged into USB)?

I honestly do not have a lot of confidence in this working.
Unless you can find someone who's done it or somehow get an answer from Logitech (good luck with that one) I don't know how you're gonna find out, short of buying the combo and returning it if it doesn't work.
Applecare is willing to help things work properly when they should, but something like this isn't gonna get you any response or help over the phone other then a reference back to these forums or to Logitech/google.
Hope you find an answer, but all i know is that if it says USB...then there must be a reason. Doesn't mean nothing else will work though, but might not be the easiest thing to get an "in advance" response on.

Problem : System Freezes frequently on any hardware scan or changes.
Symptom : Wireless Keyboard Mouse not working.
Caused by : VMkbd.sys located in C:\Windows\System32\drivers.
Issue : VMware player or VMware Workstation installed on Windows 8.1 causes compatibility issue leading to system freeze
Soultion : Please follow steps below
Step 1: Start > run > regedit
Step 2: Locate to this registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4d36e96b-e325-11ce-BFC1-08002BE10318}
Step 3: On the left side plane, Right click on the registry {4d36e96b-e325-11ce-BFC1-08002BE10318} and then export it as backup. Just to be safe.
Step 4: Edit the UpperFilters, The value current would be kdbclass vmkbd. Remove the vmkbd. So only value left would be kbdclass.
Step 5: Restart your system and connect your USB wireless reciever. If all is well it will not freeze your windows now.

I assume your wireless KB is third-party (as Apple does not make a BT KB with numeric keys). I suggest you contact the manufacturer for guidance.

Powerbook G4Yes you can. I am currently running a mac mini and windows XP box through a KVM switch and it works fine. I have used the Logitech Cordless Desktop® LX 310 Laser keyboard+mouse combo as well as the Bluetooth Microsoft optical desktop elite (both USB).
You obviously lose some of the cool custom microsoft buttons on the Mac, but general use has been perfect. Funny thing is, the Microsoft keyboard/mouse works better with the MAC... go figure =P

Slim Wireless Keyboard Not Working (Boot-Camp (Windows XP SP2) Leopard
I installed Boot Camp with Windows XP SP2 on my iMac. My new slim apple wireless keyboard did not after I rebooted to finish the install. It worked when I was installing it though. My wireless mighty mouse works fine with xp.I have given my keyboard many passkeys in the bluetooth settings on windows, but it still doesn't work. I have Mac OS X Leopard. My boot camp version is 2.0. I have also tried to repair the drivers with the boot camp drivers on the leopard disk but that was unsucessful.

I don't really use the Caps Lock Key, or the Option Key at boot, when I want to switch to Boot-Camp and Mac OS X I just change the Boot Disk in System Preferences & vise-versa. Thanks for trying to help though. This weekend I am returning my Apple Slim Wireless Keyboard at the Apple Store. I still have the original packaging and receipt, I bought it offline and received it a few days ago. If the return doesn't go as planned and I'm stuck with this keyboard I will keep this question labeled 'unanswered'. If the return does go well I will label it solved, there is no need really to keep this topic waving around when I no longer have the Apple Wireless Keyboard. I have never EVER even thought of returning an Apple product before, wish me luck. To Apple though I must say that I am disappointed that you have had many months to fix this simple issue since this keyboard came out, but have decided not to. I will try to keep you updated. Thanks!A quick look at the requirements for the Apple wireless keyboard and mouse says nothing about Windows, meaning they are not supported by Apple for Windows use. That does not mean, however, that someone has not found a way to make them work. As Allan has already stated, the Bootcamp discussion area would be a good place to look. It is possible that there is a third-party application which allows them to work in the Windows environment. Good luck.

I have an IPAD updated with iSo 7. Recently I purchased a logitech wireless keyboard.
I went to pair the two up and the IPAD recognizes the keyboard and cites that it is connected.
But I proceed to type the words do not transfer to the screen.
Any suggestions? Techs at Best Buy state that the iSO 7 is not yet compatible with the keyboard manufacturers?
How long before they are?The BestBuy guys are clueless. I use a Logitech BT Tablet keyboard with my iPad 4 - used it before with iOS 6 and use it now with iOS 7 and it works just fine.
A simply thing to try is to remove the BT pairing, reset your iPad (hold the on/off/sleep button and the home button at the same time until the Apple boot logo appears), then try repairing them. You may have to force the keyboard back into pairing mode (on mine, there is a button on the underside, near the on/off switch, that I would press and hold for second or two to force pairing mode). -

All was going along swimmingly, setting up my new iMac... I did some updates and then for some strange reason my wireless keyboard stopped working? I know it’s not the keyboard because delete works, my widgets work and some other keys work - and - the whole keyboard was working from start up (at first)...
But I just can’t use the Alfa keys all of a sudden - very unusual, no?

Wireless keyboard stopped working on my iMac
My wireless keyboard stopped working on my iMac. It shows that it is connected, but it won't respond. It's not the batteries, and I tested keyboard on my iPad and it works fine on the iPad, so it is not the keyboard itself.
I also tried to connect a different wireless keyboard to my iMac, but the same thing happens... it shows that it is connected, but it doesn't respond.
When I go preferences > bluetooth, the device shows as connected. I have tried to remove it by highlighting it and clicking the - (minus) , but the - (minus) is not clickable. It is gray.
Also grayed is the box that says 'discoverable'. the box is checked however.

Wireless keyboard stops working when some keys adobe photoshop is open and being used.
